    I'd like to point out that Deku's friends didn't abandon him. The suit that cost All Might his fortune was remade and funded by his friends and the Shields (Melissa and David). Considering that All Might was probably a multimillionaire and close to a billionaire (you figure he was probably getting royalty cuts of his merch) and a single suit wiped him out a bunch of newly blooded Heroes would have had to dump a lot to get their friend back up and running.

      I think people are going overboard with pushing the Deku got abandoned and ghosted for 8 years, especially concerning the suit. Also, the new suit the remade and (super, super) upgraded from AM's suit. And it wasn't funded by only the original Class A, but by all 20 classmates/friends (incl. Aoyama and Shinzo) he had all 3 years in High School. David, Melissa and Mei (she worked on it too) must have worked their butts off making it.

      @Awesome_Swordsman 3 месяца назад +43

      The main problem that people seem to have with this is the fact that three of Deku’s classmates (Iida, Shoto, and Momo) are implied to be rich, so the most common complaint is that those three could have combined their money to pay for the suit.
      Personally, I disagree with this belief as Iida and Shoto would have to share their families’ fortune with their siblings, and then there’s the fact that you simply just don’t spend your entire fortune on a gift for your friend (no matter how close you are). Plus, who’s to say that those three’s combined wealth would have been enough?
      But most people don’t seem to be thinking too hard about this…

      @@nemo0036 We don't know the cost of the suit ofc, but given it took 8 years to build it, and (as even the video said) the last suit "took all of All Might's fortune" to make, this suit hella expensive. So much that it took the whole class+ to pay for it. (At least that's how I see it.)

      It's not that, or atleast for me. I understand what they were doing but for one, crime was reduced overall so they could've been ya know shown doing work together or something plus the fact it said Bakugo was the main source of funding for the suit. The whole class pitched in, yeah but Bakugo being the main source? That part there feels unreal to me.

    15:45: I feel like quirk doomsday theory was correct to a certain degree but it is more apparent that the quirks aren’t getting stronger but more responsive to the desires of the user. Evidence comes from the early chapters when Shoto and Bakugo were dealing with the kids of the class that wouldn’t behave themselves.

      @@Boltofbrilliance122 *WARNING LONG COMMENT*
      If the 10 MHA movies thing is true, here’s what I’d like to see.
      I’d like to see 3 of them be presented as a sequel continuation from the epilogue showing us all the characters as pros and what they’ve been up to. Along with other characters as pros like Class B, Shiketsu High and The former big three of U.A. Maybe some updates on other characters like Inko Midoryia and maybe solid confirmation if certain ones (I.E Deku and Uraraka) officially got together, or maybe they took a break from each other over the years to focus on their careers and reignite their relationship through the movies. I’d like all 3 of these movies to be like a continuing story, like Infinity war and Endgame. With the plot addressing the issue of quirk singularity and how they’ll try and prevent it from happening. In order to keep the peace they built in their new society. We’d also see what Deku’s new battle suit can do and see him become the new No. 1 hero with it.
      As for the other 2 movies. I would like to see some movies based on the spin-off MHA vigilantes series once that gets an anime adaptation. Just to expand on the story of vigilantes and give them their time on the big screen as well.
      As for what I think the final MHA movie should be, is a prequel to when All Might was in his prime. It could begin with Old All Might narrating about his journey similar to Deku. About the story of how he was the world’s greatest hero. Showing us him saying goodbye to America, David and Melissa Sheild, along with Cathleen Bate (who later becomes Star and Stripe). It would show us how he first met Sir Nighteye and took him on as a sidekick. And finally we’d see the first confrontation between Prime All Might and Prime AFO and how that concluded along with All Might and Nighteye’s partnership.
      Then the movie could end with Old Might telling this story to Deku as they got some time to hang out together. The movie would end with Deku getting an alert of a natural disaster occurring and says goodbye to All Might as he goes to deal with it. We cut to All Might walking down the street reflecting on his legacy and how it’s only been strengthened through Deku, Bakugou and the rest of Class A as pros. All Might would get a Notification on his phone seeing Deku saving all the people from that disaster as he reassures them that they’re fine because he is here. Ending with a big smile on All Might’s face. Knowing he kept his promise to the end, to live on and see his successor announce to the world that he is here.
      Some movies like that would be dope to have.

    7:49 Ok I kinda have an issue with this part here. That was a fan translation of what Aizawa said, which most people mistakenly took it as Deku being lonely and his friends ghosting him for 8 years. But in the official translations, Aizawa asks him if he misses it, referring to being a pro hero again. Which he admits at the end that he does miss it but is still happy with his life. Just for Class A to come in clutch and fund Deku’s new battle suit so he can continue being a hero alongside them again. Now that it’s been about a couple weeks, I wish people would focus on the official translations than the fan ones.
    I’m just tired of this misconception that Class A just flat out abandoned, ghosted and forgot about Deku after 8 years, when it’s completely out of character for them to do. It’s never been stated or hinted that they did that Deku at all. All Deku says is “Ever since we *ALL* started working, our time off never seems to line up. It’s hard to plan get togethers”. Meaning that most likely Class A has either texted, called or met Deku in person individually. But it’s hard for *ALL* of them to be together in one place and have a fun gathering. This is just how adult hood is like after graduation. You got your own jobs, responsibilities and schedules that it becomes harder and harder to see your old high school friends or close friends for that matter. This does not mean that they ghosted him tho.

    • @t.j.1584
      @t.j.1584 3 месяца назад +124

      @@pattou2175 That’s not really abandonment tho, that’s just called having life. I even talked to someone about this ending and he said that this is exactly how it’s like after high school graduation. He said he hasn’t even seen his closest friends for 5-6 months due to them all being adults with their own responsibilities and schedules. But once they meet up again, nothing changes and they’re still the best of buds. Like we see here at the end in MHA.
      And again, I find it very hard to believe that they flat out abandoned him for *8 YEARS STRAIGHT WITH NO CONTACT WHATSOVER*. And this is not what abandonment means. By definition abandonment is “cease to support or look after someone” or “to give up on something or someone”. Which we clearly see at the very end of the chapter that, that’s not the case. They all supported him in order for him to live out his dreams to be a hero again and also never gave up on him as their seen all together again in the final panel.
      Throughout the years I’m sure they’ve reached out to him through texts, calls or just met him individually. There’s no dialogue that suggests they didn’t do any of these things and just flat out ghosted him. Also there isn’t any images or dialogue that suggests they did that to him in the first place. The only dialogue we got is “Ever since we *ALL* started working, our time off never seems to line up. It’s hard to plan get-togethers” which I’ve already clarified what that most likely means.
      And yes, MHA is flawed. What Shounen isn’t? I certainly have my fair share of criticisms with it. But I’m not talking about the flaws of the series, I’m talking about this misconception that they ghosted him for 8 years straight without interacting with him.

      Fr, it’s a high honor to be a teacher in Japan. Like you said, the equivalent of Harvard, but it’s certainly not here in the U.S and most people probably don’t know how teachers are treated in Japan, which is probably why everyone’s been referring to this being a “9-5 low wage job” which is just not the case. Plus we gotta remember, this is U.A high. The most prestigious school in his country that’s able to afford mountain sized robots just for an entrance exam. Deku’s job is certainly not “low or minimum wage” like some people have been suggesting. His salary’s gotta be better than that. On top of that he also became a pro hero again in the end, so he’s definitely going to be eating good.
      Plus it fits Deku’s character. With just how good he is at deducing quirks, studying their abilities, strengths, weaknesses and coming up with new creative ways for those quirks to be better. He would be a really good teacher to the next generation of students at his school. And tbh after saying all this, the teacher role just really fits Deku.
      But yeah, I agree. Horokoshi not confirming some of the ships were definitely not a great move. Despite the fandom, I feel like he should’ve pulled the trigger on most of these ships given all the build up and hints some of them got. Like Krishima and Mina or Kamanari and Jirou (we even see their agencies together in the final chapter). But especially Deku and Uraraka after all that build up. It also would’ve made Deku’s ending, which is already good a lot better imo.

      @@t.j.1584 I disagree that most westerners take issue with deku ending up as a teacher because they think teaching is not an honorable job. I think the issue most westerners have is that, in context with our culture, the message of mha doesn’t make any sense and is somewhat inconsistent. To explain, the original set up of mha with deku being quirkless was something that most westerners expected to be crucial to the development of the story. All might telling deku he can’t be a hero because he lacks a quirk was a point that instantly doesn’t jive with westerners who grew up on heroes like Batman who essentially fights overpowered villains with nothing but gadgets, martial arts, and strategy. The idea that deku if he really wanted to couldn’t be a hero is absurd to westerners. To go on, deku ends up being gifted an overpowered quirk. Deku then goes to lose said overpowered quirk and all of a sudden you have kids asking deku the same question he asked all might. The truth of the matter is all deku life proves is all might was right, which is antithetical to westerners (especially Americans) who are socialized to believe that no one can tell you what you can and can’t do. From a westerners perspective, Deku answer was a lie to that kid. From a westerners perspective, there’s no way they could believe that deku genuinely believes anyone can be a hero. If you buy that what deku meant was that anyone can do heroic things than, from a westerners perspective, deku is affirming that all might was initially right and he should have just gone and became a police officer. The suit at the end is icing on the frustration cake for westerners because in the end even after going through hero training, losing his powers, and still wanting to do hero work, he resigned himself to only teaching (even if it’s an honorable job it’s not the only thing he wants to be doing). In the end, in order to pursue his dream, instead of getting off of his ass and making it happen for himself, he needed someone to gift him the power to make his dream a reality (through a mecha suite)

Future of class A was almost entirely skipped, friends left Deku alone for no reason (so busy being heroes), all might giving him a super suit was just a cliché happy ending (at least it was shown in a funny and wholesome way), teasing relations and doing almost nothing with it. With other anime endings like bleach, naruto and dragonball, is that we can assume that their adventures go on after the finale, that the exciting world we loved continued, what pulled us in didn't change.
    I can assume that ichigo still went on to beat hollows and send souls to the soul society, that naruto still went on to do ninja missions, that goku would find strong enemies.
    With anime like aot and demon slayer, they stopped fighting but their goal/dream was to live in peace and ultimately put down their weapons and we got to see them live in the peace they wanted.
    With mha, we saw the person who put in the most work lose the hope of starting their adventure before it even really began. We know that he didn't experience any great or exciting things even once during the 8 years he pulled a 9 to 5.
    The adventure ended, imagined if one piece had Luffy return to his hometown where he lived out his life without raising his fist again or ever sailing the seas.
    Mediocrity is never a trait you want your character to embody while in a fantasy world.
    Imagine if pokemon ended with Ash losing the right to own pokemon and had to coach others for a living.
    If the aspect of wonder is removed from the main character's life then it is removed near entirely from our viewpoint as well.

The first fight in the whole series was him trying to save bakugo when all might wasn't around. This showed that he obviously WAS trying to become a hero. When his quirk was gone again, he didn't just give up, either. In the original translation, aizawa asks deku if he missess being a hero, and deku says that he dies, but he's happy with his current life, which points out that he obviously chose to become a teacher instead of a hero, and not that he just decided to completely give up. His friends also did care about him. They spent a lot if money to get him a suit so he could join them as a hero as well. The only thing i disagree with people on is Izuku not seeing much of his classmates. Its kind of hard to keep in touch with your entire class after graduating and thats the same thing here. We are told they are helping people throughout Japan, so of course they would be busy, not to mention that Izuku says they still hang out, even if its not as much.

      All them have jobs now . Just because crime is low now doesn't mean they are not busy . They have hero agency, they go on petrol around japan , they are probably needed to fix an accident or a natural disaster .
      Midoriya meant it is difficult for all of class a to meet up altogether ( because of sceduling ) not that none of them met up with him at all . Everyone is busy including himself but it doesn't mean they haven't met up at all with him during the 9 years

    I don’t really hate the ending but their are certain things that I wish were handled better.
    1. The quirk singularity doomsday theory was pretty much proven but nothing was done about it, like quirks are still a thing and no one seems to be taking initiative.
    2. The pacing of the series for everything to happen in just 1 year seems a bit unrealistic, like I would’ve loved it if the series was longer and time passed and out characters were getting older as the story progressed.
    3. Dekus dad and many of class 1As family’s have never been seen or even mentioned.
    4. The whole thing with all for one and shigaraki was cool but not letting deku be able to save tenko was surprising.
    5. I was hoping deku would someone get his quirk back or something, or at the very least perhaps like how shigaraki had physical enhancements deku could’ve gain natural super strength and stuff.

    I didn’t like the ending cause it felt rushed or just finished to be finished. It wasn’t bad. But it felt like it was a cupcake but no frosting or topping. Like I get it wanting to finish the series and backing away from it since the fans and toxic fans can take a toll on one self, but i feel like the ones who stuck around the most kind of got a weak pay off. But again it is what it is. If you ain’t truly happy with it, write your own ending and make it your own cannon.

    There is such harsh extremes in this fandom coping about the ending. Can we please just admit that like most Shonen these days, MHA was rushed at the end? It's going to happen to JJK as well. Horikoshi is a wonderful mangaka but his pacing is historically horrendous. If he's not taking too long he's rushing way too rapidly. The ending was a rushed mess that honestly needed maybe 4 chapters minimum rather than what we got. You don't have to adhere to either extreme to admit that. Too much was left unanswered and so many issues are LITERALLY lost in translation because so much was crammed into this epilogue.

    It perfectly fits his story. He never sought to be the strongest or the greatest, but a hero who inspires. Losing OFA shows that being a hero isn’t about the quirk you possess-it’s about who you are. Even without his power, he chose to become a teacher because he sees the hero in everyone. Whether you’re a teacher, a doctor, or anyone making a difference, you have a role to play. True heroism isn’t defined by being a pro; it’s defined by the impact you make on others. He wants to inspire the next generation by sharing his own journey, his struggles, and his perspective, just as All Might did for him. He’s still a hero, but now, by choosing to teach, he’s proving that heroism is about more than power-it’s about the heart, the choices we make, and the legacy we leave behind.

  • @aaronsteel853
    @aaronsteel853 3 месяца назад +4

    I can agree with most of your points, for starter's Deku's father is of no significance to since he was hardly relevant to the story I wasn't bothered by it all since it was more focused on Deku's journey to become a hero. Though, whether he became a hero like his season 1 monologue is something up for debate. He did save the world be defeating Tomura Shigiraki / All for One by sacrificing One for all by sending each of the vestige's into him leaving only an ember to use for a while, and yeah it's amazing or rather perplexing how it lasted about two years if your accurate with your analysis. I did think becoming a teacher was the next best thing for Deku given his circumstances after everything he's been through. I did want him to some how stay as a hero by some how having One for All or at least, not losing it as a sacrifice. His friends going on to become Pro Hero's but not keeping in contact sounds like typical real life behavior in life people drift apart or so, but you give a valid point that this class was well concerned with one another and definitely should've had like a group chat with each other's phone number's and especially kept in contact with Deku to check in on him at the very least instead of making him feel left behind. Sure, I'm happy about the suitcase super suit , but the fact that it took so long and no one kept in contact or went to the school to visit him before is a little depressing and sad.
    I would like a sequel in the works for like you said the Doctor should pass on his knowledge regarding the quirk singularity theory especially since he could be an excellent villain or mentor to some one who could succeed him. Since it's hard to imagine society being peaceful without crimes or some form of villainy rising from the shadows. That could give way to a new antagonist like someone who uses support items instead of having a quirk for a villain.
    Finally, I don't mind any ships confirmed or any since like Naruto, he didn't end up with Hinata until after the last movie and some time after the war in Shippuden they were preparing for the wedding between them. Romance isn't always important in Shonen stories though it isn't appreciated I like others appreciate the heartfelt moments of love and budding relationships between people in stories. But a sequel series could give us more interactions of that. So, here's hoping for it. : )
