What makes it better for the kid is that the cycle ends here. By helping the kid, she essentially ended what would have been a new cycle of resentment by being a hero in her own way instead of leaving the guy to suffer. The symbolism is too awesome!
I’m not sure how intentional it was but I love how the manga starts with Bakugo telling Deku to “takes a swan dive off the roof and pray for a quirk” in his next life, and the manga ends with Bakugo being the heart of the funding for Deku’s new hero suit and telling Deku “let’s go” so Deku can continue being a hero even tho he’s quirkless

I still think about her to this day. To her it was just a kind thing to do, to me it meant the world. Trust me dude that granny taking his hand could have meant the world to that kid. Not all his problems will be fixed but it shows him someone actually sees him and cares.

Funny thing is, Deku was originally supposed to be a dude who made support items and wanted to be a hero with his gadgets. The ending seems like a call back to this.

Terrible ending, disrespected Deku Retconned the whole "When i became the greatest hero" narrative Dekus friends abandoned him. None of the students died. All might some how survived the series which is terrible writing. Deku losing his quirk is retarded. Dekus friends basically abandoning him after he lost his quirk(yes they did, they barely talked to him for 8 years it said, even 2 or 3 years is disrespectful after all he went through, they may have made him an iron man suit but they could have talked to him at the same time) The MC became irrelevant in the end. Deku and Uravities shit went absolutely nowehere, this isnt even a shipping thing, they were set up since the 2nd or 3rd chapter that she liked him and he liked her and it went...NOWHERE. Ive never seen a mangaka drop the ball like this before, its pathetic, he broke his own series and turned what started off amazing into a mid piece of trash.

Deku turning into a teacher is actually poetically perfect end for him in my eye. Plus he such an obsessive note taker that it makes sense he utilized that knowledge beyond just hero work. Also that final shot of all of them in that epic splash page a la Avengers style is so hype.
I liken him to Shikamaru: He's an observer and strategist. Taking notes and learning how to counter. In my opinion, that's his "quirk" and the suit is just going to enhance this tactical skill.

When Naruto became Hokage and married his love, in Dragon Ball goku got chi chi and had kids while being the strongest on earth in DBZ at the end Goku was still the strongest and still had his girl and family. 12:55 Eri playing an instrument is actually pretty cool because she can technically still help people with music instead of violence she will basically be fighting with her voice to help everyone and anyone because music can help some people when in time of need just like how class 1a did for her at the festival helping her learn to smile
Considering Jiro was one of Eri’s biggest inspirations, it makes me wonder why Jiro herself wanted to become a hero. She was a big focus during the UA School Festival arc, and we do see a flashback of her talking with her parents about becoming a hero instead of following their footsteps by becoming a musician with them supporting her decision. I’m not sure if we ever got an explanation for why she enrolled into UA. With the other students, we do get an explanation. Deku and Bakugo were inspired to become heroes by All Might. Ochako wanted to reap the benefits to fund parents’ struggling construction company Iida wants to live up to the legacy of his brother, who was a pro hero Mineta wanted to be famous for the ladies Kirishima wanted to change himself for the better Shinso wanted to prove that his quirk can be used for good We even see Shoji get an explanation with him being a heteromorph and wanting to break the cycle of discrimination But Jiro since that arc puzzled me.

While still liked the idea of helping people in general too, since her quirk does allow her to fight to a certain extent, while is mostly helpful in search and rescue situation due to her heightened hearing through the jacks
So, even after Deku did became quirkless after that final battle they went through, All Might and all of Deku's Friends of Class-1A worked together to create a Battle Suit for Deku, so he may join them for their Hero Works once more. And I'm glad they were able to do this together for Deku to come along with them, so he doesn't stay behind for too long.

my personal headcanon is that at the end of the day, deku goes home from a long day of teaching at UA, and gets to sit at the dinner table with Uraraka, and they get to be together

Bittersweet finale. Im glad Deku still gets to be a hero. My only complaint is that they didn't confirm Deku and Ururaka being a couple or anything. I understand the reason narratively but now I just have more questions. I really want to know what the class’s lives are now as adult Heroes together. Them all working together as pros would be a whole new awesome story.😆

I was 16 years old deku age when I first started my hero academia I’m 23 now and this has been a wild ride in my hero academia it’s been with me throughout the years. It helped me a lot. Losing my brother. losing friends. The show was there for me. it was a very comforting show. Especially reading the manga as well that helped me a lot. I was so into reading manga, but then stopped for about a year and then picked it up again. I continued to watch the anime, but I didn’t feel as connected as I was when I was reading the book about how, a boy gets quirk and then loses quirk to become the greatest hero has been one of the best stories I read that I personally grew up with
2018 is when i started watch mha it is now 2024 and i just couldnt finish this manga loved the show but now finishing the manga in full i am completely satisfied so i would like to say Thankyou Kōhei Horikoshi may u rest and take a freaking vacation
I don’t care how the fandom is. Because I know not everyone in the fandom is “toxic” or “crazy” or “weird.” But this anime will forever be one of my faves. I’ve been watching and reading it ever since 6th grade, and I really loved it. And well, I guess today, August 4th, 2024, is the day I finish My Hero Academia. I love them all so much, and I can’t even explain how happy I am that it has a happy ending. Seeing them all grown up and full heroes….that makes so happyyyyyy. It’s ironic today is my birthday and I myself am 25 lol. I’m contempt with this ending and I don’t really need any major ships confirmed. I was 14 when I watched the anime, I eventually caught up to their age 16, then became older. Being 21 now, I viewed them as kids, then the 8 year timeskip happened and they're suddenly older than me at 25, it felt weird 😂 Anyways, happy birthday!!! Hope you got a blessed life 🥳🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations My Hero Academia for reaching the ending it's been 10 years since it first came out, and now that it ends makes me nostalgic I mean I was in highschool when I watched mha and now it ended when I graduated college then reading this final chapter this made 10 times emotional for me. Here's to hoping for an anthology we fans still have questions, Deku's dad, which couples happened and their adventures as adults.
Its sad that the author wasn't able to confirm DekuxUraraka despite showing it all throughout the series because of the lunatic shippers sending him death threats.
Pay close attention to Uraraka's hero design at the end. She is clearly wearing Deku's mask from his old hero suit. I think if nothing else that can be seen as confirmation that they are very close.

Did anyone notice that Ochako had something around her neck that looked a lot like Deku’s old mouth guard/mask. Idk exactly what it is. It just kinda has a similar design to that.

I can't say I'm happy with this ending since it seems rushed or crammed into one final chapter. I was hoping for something without a prolonged timeskip, but I will say this I'm happy Deku was able to be a hero will his friends from Class 1A that they all pitched in, the funding to get the battle suit for him to be a hero alongside him. That's true friendship at it's finest and a family connected together to be heroes into a brighter future. It's still daunting though like I feel I want to see how Deku carries on from this point as a teacher and a hero does he continue to safe people alongside his classmates as a team or team-ups every now and then?

His "family" see him as villain quirk so they neglected him, throw him in basement for him to live his life in small room of no light until he die and sewn his mouth to prevent the suspicion. Ahhh, My Hero Academia, the story was full of details and really solid since day 1, since USJ then the attack on the camping site then Kamino, Overhaul, the attack on the hospital and the war, omg! Those events were solid and even arcs like training or class A x class B battles were full of details. The characters were greatly written and developed. This story inspired me personally and pushed me to push myself forward. Thanks Deku, Bakugo, Shoto, Class A, Class B, Sensies THANKS Horikoshi for this really beautiful story.

I like how it ends with Deku being quirkless again, but still being a hero. It really shows how far he has come as a character, and brings the story around full circle very nicely.

I like to believe that IzuOcha was softly confirmed due to all the subtext of the series and the points you pointed out in the last two chapters. The snow panel is heavily romantic coded and the consistent looks and smiles of the last few chapters go hard. Other than not getting IzuOcha canonized in full I think the ending was pretty beautiful all things considered. I hope we'll get some more closer for the series and for the future of Deku as a Pro Hero. Do you think we'll get a movie kind of like Naruto the Last in the future?
I always questioned people’s top hero lists from before the final wars since they all only had 1A students. I always thought mirio was an amazing hero and he didn’t get enough credit. I’m glad he gets it now❤

*If MHA is going to get a sequel (which I’m not saying it will), it should be about the world becoming normal again and quirks disappearing mysteriously. New generations are born with no quirks and some of those that already have quirks end up losing it. People in the world grow concerned about quirks disappearing because they depend on it, (just like a lot of us depend on technology). If technology ever vanished, stopped working, etc. It would cause a lot of people to panic. People use technology for jobs, communication, getting around, etc. Anyways, with quirks disappearing, heroes and many others try to figure out why it’s happening and how to prevent anyone else from losing their quirks.*
Horikoshi lied to us saying he was gonna fit his dad in the last chapter somewhere but never did. I'm at a point where he's divorced inko and a deadbeat dad. And what's the point of building up ochako loving deku but never confessing ? Kind of a stupid move if you ask me
Bruh, if Horikoshi even forgot about the whole "Traitor" subplot he seemingly set up in the beginning of MHA, its pretty safe to say he also forgot about Deku's dad.
Its funny how many people hate on the ending. Remember how in one of the movies he thought he could've lost his quirk when transferring it to katsuki but he didn't? Remember when he was aaking mirio if mirio would accept delua quirk if there was a possibility that he could give it to him? He almost knowingly sacrificed his quirk two times, and the third was when he defeat all for one. You guys realize that having all for obe without one for all ir the opposite would probably never happen, since they both are opposite forces. Having only one would create a giant power imvalance which could get super messy. The seires ending how it did may not have been the most predictable outcome, but it was the most logical outcome. It shows that deku was still happy and living well even without a quirk, passing diwn his knowledge and experience to other ti help them. In the end, deku always wanted to help others anyway. He was like all might. He beat the most powerful villain the world had ever seen. He was satisfied with what he did, and he chose his outcome after that. Otherwise he wouldn't have given up on being a quirkless hero just like how he wasn't giving up as a little 14 year old boy. His life at the end was probably the choice that nade the most anese, and no, his friends didn't leave him, they all just didn't get many chances for everyone to meet up together, which shows that they probably did still stay in contact, and that they probably just met him and each other separately. They also all paid for a super expensive ironman-like suit so he could join them to become a hero again.
Ochaco doing that for mental health is great and reminds me, in the Naruto light novels Sakura Hiden, she created mental hospitals. The mental hospitals were for children after the war arc. Not sure if this had anything to do with it this but either way just a bit of Naruto lure. Cause honestly these are kids they would need therapy after all this!!

I still think about her to this day. To her it was just a kind thing to do, to me it meant the world. Trust me dude that granny taking his hand could have meant the world to that kid. Not all his problems will be fixed but it shows him someone actually sees him and cares.

Deku turning into a teacher is actually poetically perfect end for him in my eye. Plus he such an obsessive note taker that it makes sense he utilized that knowledge beyond just hero work. Also that final shot of all of them in that epic splash page a la Avengers style is so hype.
I liken him to Shikamaru: He's an observer and strategist. Taking notes and learning how to counter. In my opinion, that's his "quirk" and the suit is just going to enhance this tactical skill.

12:55 Eri playing an instrument is actually pretty cool because she can technically still help people with music instead of violence she will basically be fighting with her voice to help everyone and anyone because music can help some people when in time of need just like how class 1a did for her at the festival helping her learn to smile
Considering Jiro was one of Eri’s biggest inspirations, it makes me wonder why Jiro herself wanted to become a hero. She was a big focus during the UA School Festival arc, and we do see a flashback of her talking with her parents about becoming a hero instead of following their footsteps by becoming a musician with them supporting her decision. I’m not sure if we ever got an explanation for why she enrolled into UA. With the other students, we do get an explanation.
Deku and Bakugo were inspired to become heroes by All Might.
Ochako wanted to reap the benefits to fund parents’ struggling construction company
Iida wants to live up to the legacy of his brother, who was a pro hero
Mineta wanted to be famous for the ladies
Kirishima wanted to change himself for the better
Shinso wanted to prove that his quirk can be used for good
We even see Shoji get an explanation with him being a heteromorph and wanting to break the cycle of discrimination
But Jiro since that arc puzzled me.

So, even after Deku did became quirkless after that final battle they went through, All Might and all of Deku's Friends of Class-1A worked together to create a Battle Suit for Deku, so he may join them for their Hero Works once more.

Bittersweet finale. Im glad Deku still gets to be a hero. My only complaint is that they didn't confirm Deku and Ururaka being a couple or anything. I understand the reason narratively but now I just have more questions. I really want to know what the class’s lives are now as adult Heroes together. I was 16 years old deku age when I first started my hero academia I’m 23 now and this has been a wild ride in my hero academia it’s been with me throughout the years. It helped me a lot. Losing my brother. losing friends. The show was there for me. it was a very comforting show. Especially reading the manga as well that helped me a lot. I was so into reading manga, but then stopped for about a year and then picked it up again. I continued to watch the anime, but I didn’t feel as connected as I was when I was reading the book about how, a boy gets quirk and then loses quirk to become the greatest hero has been one of the best stories I read that I personally grew up with

I was 14 when I watched the anime, I eventually caught up to their age 16, then became older. Being 21 now, I viewed them as kids, then the 8 year timeskip happened and they're suddenly older than me at 25, it felt weird 😂

Congratulations My Hero Academia for reaching the ending it's been 10 years since it first came out, and now that it ends makes me nostalgic I mean I was in highschool when I watched mha and now it ended when I graduated college then reading this final chapter this made 10 times emotional for me.
Here's to hoping for an anthology we fans still have questions, Deku's dad, which couples happened and their adventures as adults.
Its sad that the author wasn't able to confirm DekuxUraraka despite showing it all throughout the series because of the lunatic shippers sending him death threats.
Pay close attention to Uraraka's hero design at the end. She is clearly wearing Deku's mask from his old hero suit. I think if nothing else that can be seen as confirmation that they are very close.

I can't say I'm happy with this ending since it seems rushed or crammed into one final chapter. I was hoping for something without a prolonged timeskip, but I will say this I'm happy Deku was able to be a hero will his friends from Class 1A that they all pitched in, the funding to get the battle suit for him to be a hero alongside him. That's true friendship at it's finest and a family connected together to be heroes into a brighter future. It's still daunting though like I feel I want to see how Deku carries on from this point as a teacher and a hero does he continue to safe people alongside his classmates as a team or team-ups every now and then?

This was such a fun journey. Whether or not we return to this world this has been one journey for comic fans.

The amount of time I was motivated by dekus training dang…. But every thing must come to an end.. Akira toriyama died and many things happened. Man I really loved the time, every single time. Ahhh, My Hero Academia, the story was full of details and really solid since day 1, since USJ then the attack on the camping site then Kamino, Overhaul, the attack on the hospital and the war, omg!
Those events were solid and even arcs like training or class A x class B battles were full of details.
The characters were greatly written and developed.
This story inspired me personally and pushed me to push myself forward.

He just said he wouldn't do prequel and backstories.
Plus it doesn't have to be Horikoshi who does the sequel, it could be the author of MHA team up mission or the author of MHA school briefs or vigilantes and Horikoshi would just supervise.
@@Melody-qs6rzit is just recent interview about the epilogue. He didn't say there won't be any sequel just not anytime close because he wants to relax for a while. And if there's any sequel he's thinking about alien invading the earth for an Empire.

Hearing that maybe he’s going to copy marvel MCU, he probably started the idea already when deku got that support item hero costume, making deku become like Iron man

I like how it ends with Deku being quirkless again, but still being a hero. It really shows how far he has come as a character, and brings the story around full circle very nicely.

I like to believe that IzuOcha was softly confirmed due to all the subtext of the series and the points you pointed out in the last two chapters. The snow panel is heavily romantic coded and the consistent looks and smiles of the last few chapters go hard. Other than not getting IzuOcha canonized in full I think the ending was pretty beautiful all things considered. I hope we'll get some more closer for the series and for the future of Deku as a Pro Hero. Do you think we'll get a movie kind of like Naruto the Last in the future?
I always questioned people’s top hero lists from before the final wars since they all only had 1A students. I always thought mirio was an amazing hero and he didn’t get enough credit. I’m glad he gets it now❤
I low-key was hoping one for all came back somehow and deku still became the greatest hero of all time.

It feels like a really emotional moment when you see the number 18 on the suitcase of the combat armor.
*If MHA is going to get a sequel (which I’m not saying it will), it should be about the world becoming normal again and quirks disappearing mysteriously. New generations are born with no quirks and some of those that already have quirks end up losing it. People in the world grow concerned about quirks disappearing because they depend on it, (just like a lot of us depend on technology). If technology ever vanished, stopped working, etc. It would cause a lot of people to panic. People use technology for jobs, communication, getting around, etc. Anyways, with quirks disappearing, heroes and many others try to figure out why it’s happening and how to prevent anyone else from losing their quirks.*

Horikoshi lied to us saying he was gonna fit his dad in the last chapter somewhere but never did. I'm at a point where he's divorced inko and a deadbeat dad. And what's the point of building up ochako loving deku but never confessing ? Kind of a stupid move if you ask me

Its funny how many people hate on the ending. Remember how in one of the movies he thought he could've lost his quirk when transferring it to katsuki but he didn't? Remember when he was aaking mirio if mirio would accept delua quirk if there was a possibility that he could give it to him? He almost knowingly sacrificed his quirk two times, and the third was when he defeat all for one. You guys realize that having all for obe without one for all ir the opposite would probably never happen, since they both are opposite forces. Having only one would create a giant power imvalance which could get super messy. The seires ending how it did may not have been the most predictable outcome, but it was the most logical outcome. It shows that deku was still happy and living well even without a quirk, passing diwn his knowledge and experience to other ti help them. In the end, deku always wanted to help others anyway. He was like all might. He beat the most powerful villain the world had ever seen. He was satisfied with what he did, and he chose his outcome after that. Otherwise he wouldn't have given up on being a quirkless hero just like how he wasn't giving up as a little 14 year old boy. His life at the end was probably the choice that nade the most anese, and no, his friends didn't leave him, they all just didn't get many chances for everyone to meet up together, which shows that they probably did still stay in contact, and that they probably just met him and each other separately. They also all paid for a super expensive ironman-like suit so he could join them to become a hero again.
Ochaco doing that for mental health is great and reminds me, in the Naruto light novels Sakura Hiden, she created mental hospitals. The mental hospitals were for children after the war arc. Not sure if this had anything to do with it this but either way just a bit of Naruto lure. Cause honestly these are kids they would need therapy after all this!!
