I think the problem is that Bes Of Me was so good and well known, that it kinda overshadowed their other stuff. Moreover, the aesthetic is also something the didn't make them as popular. They matured a bit earlier than their peers, in the sound, and the fanbase wasn't ready for it. It's as if blink never topped What's My Age Again. I know that All The Small Things is slightly more well known, but WMAA was definitely blink. But blink had charismatic frontmen and carried that Pop-punk aesthetic till the self-titled album. If you ask the average person, they only know The Starting Line from Best of Me, or from the album Say It Like You Mean It.

They should have done this way back in 2005-07. They would have been much bigger. That album they released back then was pretty good but it could have been on fall out boys level kinda. Singer wanted creative control and the label spent a ton of money on an album that didn't take off like it needed to. Fall out boy crushed the morale of all the bands back then and the scene fucking died. Difference between fall out boy and the rest was... That dark skinned guitar player... He's the brains. Watch a quick video on how he basically drove that band to stardom from the start. Then compare that to the starting lines documentary from that time period. Decisions. Boils down to decisions.

Bands like blink, all American rejects, sum 41, the offspring, the used and all that jumbo jumbo are phenomenal but these guys are just wow. I met him down a random ass street in nyc at like 2 am. The most random and awesome moment of my life. I snuck out of my parents hotel at the Waldorf and just happened across him while he was recording the album 'based on a true story". This was 04 when he first dyed his hair brown and i wasnt sure it was actually him cause of it. I happened to be wearing a TSL shirt that he signed for me but i was 11 and didnt have a cell phone and im so annoyed i never got a picture. I will never get over how random it was to meet him down a dark empty street while on vacation in NYC, 😂 best moment ever

I love how the singers hair looks different in almost every music video. Like one video it’s short and bleached and spiky, the next it’s curly and full, and the next it’s long and straight. I swear the next time we see him he’s gonna have either a man bun or a Mohawk at this rate
