It sounds like radios, my childhood, the good old days when I was just 5 or 6 and starting to get a taste for music. By 13 was when I really got into the more hardcore stuff, heavy metal, ect. I listen to pretty much everything cause I find all walks of music to be great in their own special ways. But this kind of music, punk, ect is just the best.

SEPTEMBER 2021, my first day back at school from over a year and a half due to COVID was a few days away. I randomly find a video for this band called The Starting Line on RUclips for a song “The Best Of Me” I remember seeing a long time ago. From that moment on Say It Like You Mean it changed my life. I was 16 going into the 11th grade head over heels for a girl I had been chasing since I was 13. That year was a time I wish I could relive and go back to. I can still see myself stepping off the bus walking into my school blasting “Decisions, Decisions” in my headphones with my baggy Dickie’s and blacked out Vans. Going over and over in my head how I was going to approach that girl who would then later become my girlfriend (now Ex-girlfriend) Here I am the same time of year now newly dropped off for my first year of college listening to this same song and same record blown away with where time has gone. The bands from this time, for the most part, are far superior.... New Found Glory, Start Static, Simple Plan, etc. Most just never had a chance with all the other crap on the radio at that time.

I'm 56 and this is one of my favorite bands from the late 90's and early 2000's. Golden age of Pop Punk! And I say that having grown up during the original Punk era. The bands from this time, for the most part, are far superior.... New Found Glory, Start Static, Simple Plan, etc. Most just never had a chance with all the other crap on the radio at that time.
