Just got a Gen5 driver. I've unscrewed the head as much as it will go and pulling like crazy to get the head to come off from the shaft. Is it supposed to be hard? Not sure why it's not coming off as easily as you make it seem.

Did any of you find a way around this ?
@@danmorgan8891I ran into the same issue. Just winged it and pulled without mercy and it popped off. There’s a rubber grommet on the screw so it doesn’t fall out when the heads removed.
I did not see a LH designation on my shaft even though I have a lefty head. Please address whether any changes must be factored in. Thanks.
Hi Terry - We checked in with our engineering team regarding your question. Our left-handed hosels won't have an LH designation, but you will be able to tell the difference on the hosel - Left-handed hosel sleeves have outlined dots, plus symbols and minus symbols on the hosel, while right-handed hosel sleeves have solid white symbols. Left-handed clubs purchased through PXG should all have a left-handed hosel sleeve. When using a left-handed sleeve with a left-handed head, the settings will match the ones we called out in the video." Hope that answers your question! ^Chelsea
I’m playing a gen 2 driver 9’ standard. My shape is fade with a bad 1 going massive high right. Can you advise what setting I should play to aid the stopping of this please
Hi Mark - Standard setting will be the most upright setting on the hosel sleeve, creating the most draw bias. We also recommend moving the heavy weights (silver) to the heel position for added draw bias. ^Chelsea
Laymans terms. Lol. I think next time you should just explain what each setting exactly does so if a person wants draw bias and less loft, he knows exactly where to go.
Thanks so much for the feedback! We will definitely keep that in mind for future releases. ^Chelsea
@@pxg like a 🤖 would.
My irons are 2 degrees flat. Should i change my Gen 5 driver to a flatter lie?
Hi there! That is a great question. We recommend talking it over with one of our master fitters, who you can reach via telephone at 1-844-PLAY-PXG. ^Chelsea
I have a LH 9° head. Is it possible to go down to an 8° head but put more draw bias on the club. Also known as closing the face? Thank you for your help. I appreciate it a lot.
Hi there! That would be a great question to chat through with one of our master fitters. Give us a ring at 1-844-PLAY-PXG to chat through that. ^Chelsea
@@pxg will do. Thanks for the reply ! I appreciate it.
@@CamMacMastermusic Sure thing! Hope you have an awesome (golf-filled) week 😄 ^Chelsea
I just received my Gen 5 driver (and Gen 4 three wood, btw) and there is absolutely zero documentation included about the adjustable hosel. Is that by design? Why? At a minimum, I would think a copy of the hosel adjustment diagram used in this video would be very helpful. Is that diagram available somewhere so I can print one out?
Never mind. I was able to capture a screen shot of the diagram and print it. I still can't believe it's not included with the club.
@@alrichardson1887 Hi Al! Glad you were able to find what you were looking for. And fair point about it being included in the box. I have forwarded your feedback to our equipment team. ^Chelsea
@@pxg nothing has changed it seems. I just got my driver and all I got in the package was a receipt and the tool to adjust it. I don't know if the driver ships like a 10.5 lofted club without adjustments or anything. I'm on youtube now trying to figure this all out.
Can you adjust loft without affecting lie angle?
Alas, no. Every adjustment to loft will affect lie angle with our equipment. ^CW
can you make the lie flatter? thanks
Will it click when you out the head back on the shaft to let you know it's on tight enough?
Great question! You will place your head on the desired setting for the hosel and tighten the screws. When you hear the screws click, you will know that it is snug and secure in place. ^Chelsea
recently recieved my Gen4 XF driver. There is a very small gap between the driver and the hosel. is that normal?
Hi Ryan - Please give us a call at 1-844-PLAY-PXG to talk through this with our Player Support team. ^Chelsea
He didn't mention anything about left handed clubs. I'm assuming the shaft setting is opposite for LH clubs
Shaft settings will be written on the adapter ...If you were to be using a right handed adapter, perhaps purchased separately, it would be a game of opposites (more is less and less is more.... Standard is standard
@@FredzGolfno it’s not. Flat is flat and upright is upright. LH and RH is no difference
@@SpudOutdoors try it 👍
@@FredzGolf lol all pxg drivers in standard is the most upright. Opposite side is most flat. This is not rocket science.
@SpudOutdoors Yes that's correct ...if you put that same RHshaft on a Left Handed head ...it doesn't do what is says on the adapter ...it's backwards ...you can visibly see it at address and in the ball flight
Standard is Standard on Both 👍
High is low, and low is high
How do I get that nice torque wrench you have? Mine does not ratchet. And can I buy weights on your site? I could not find them. Thanks.
Hi Len - Where are you located? Chelsea
@@pxg I live at Saddlebrook Resort northeast of Tampa. I have a black wrench but it does not ratchet.
@@lentaylor99 Thanks so much for the info! Did you receive that wrench with your PXG purchase? And which PXG Driver are you rocking? ^Chelsea
Does adding or removing loft change the face angle at all (i.e open or close it)?
Hi Mark - Yes, it does. When you increase loft you are usually closing the face and when you decrease loft, you are usually opening the face a bit.^Chelsea
@@pxg Just purchased XF Gen4 driver, I understood this differently, + Loft, i.e. 10.5 to 12, you are opening the face and vice versa on - Loft. Is that wrong?
@@joeehritz1678 You are not wrong - I was wrong. Sorry about that! New golfer over here, learning the ropes 🤦 Closing the face decreases loft and opening the face increases loft, as you said. ^Chelsea
@@pxgthis is incorrect. More loft, closed face. Less loft, open face.
Well im now more confused than i already was before reading these replies. Can anyone clarify exactly what increasing/decreasing does??
Is it same way to adjust 0317 hybrid (Gen1)?
Hi Alex- Yes, the hybrid sleeve works exactly the same as the driver sleeve. You should be able to adjust them both in the same manner. ^CW
Do you know if the Taylormade shaft is compatible with the 0811X driver?
Hi Andres - You can use the same shaft but will need to have it re-tipped with our adapter. That being said, we recommend trying out the driver in person and trying a few different shafts, because the two heads may not perform the same, even with the same shaft. ^Chelsea
I just checked with the internal team and we do sell the adaptor necessary to have it re-tipped, in case you'd like to move forward without a fitting first. 🤙🏻 ^Chelsea
Totally confusing.
Upright shaft or upright club head lie ?
When you say “upright” isn’t it about the toe of the club being high (upright). This means the shaft angle would be opposite of upright and more towards a flat angle. Yet in the video you moved the shaft angle in an upright direction when discussing how to achieve an upright lie. If shaft angle is upright then toe lie is flat. If toe is upright then shaft angle is flat. Either PXG has completely changed general golf terminology to the opposite of what it should be or this video is providing some extremely confusing information. Can you PLEASE confirm if the hosel settings mean flatter/upright lie or flatter/upright shaft angle? My guess is that it’s flatter/upright lie which is the exact opposite of what is explained in the video. If upgrading the shaft a person can spend close to $800 for a single club. Yet the adjustment setting instructional videos couldn’t be any more misleading and confusing.
Hi there - When we refer to lie angle in this video, we are referring to the angle measured between the shaft axis and the ground when the face is square and the scorelines are parallel to the ground. The most upright club head lie angle setting for our drivers is the largest in the setting specified in the video. In the PXG setting, the lie angle of the head is decreased by 3 degrees, making it the smallest lie angle or flattest setting. ^Chelsea
nevermind i just watched the rest of the vid ha
Word salad.
Ahh,ahh,ahh, umm, ahh, umm....
Yeah, we went a bit techy with this one. ^CW
Doesn’t make sense
Hi there - Thanks for the feedback. I recommend checking out this blog. The written portion under the video breaks it down a little better: www.pxg.com/the-range/videos/how-to-adjust-gen5-driver/ ^Chelsea
