I have a 2010 Tacoma & the driver's seat where I slide in & out was getting holes worn in it. I am getting ready to trade it in. So, I wanted everything to look as good as possible. I took it to get it detailed & I asked about auto upholstery repair in the area. I was told there were a few & they were very busy & very selective & expensive. I came across your instructional video as well as replacement cover for the bottom seat portion. I purchased the seat bottom covers on Amazon & watched your video a couple of times. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it but I'm pretty handy. Your instructions & video are perfect! It gave me the confidence I could do it. I did both the driver's & passengers sides seat bottoms in a few hours. Thank you so much for your help!
6 months (after your land Rover), about how much time I need to recover! Thank you so much for this video! I've done 2 Foresters and these were by far harder!! For example, man, Subaru's zipper backs make life so much easier. My seats are different, passenger has rear table and tops don't have the peaks urs have. Still incredibly useful as u gave me peak into their install methods. My headrests were injection molded which I've never seen but confident as all of the seams are actually engrained in foam. Not fun. But you made it all the easier, and I didn't have to build a video bc you nailed it! Thank you brother!!
Looking a set of this same brand covers for my 2011 Land Rover. Glad to see you showing the differences between those and an exact OEM style. One thought….those zip ties will eventually dry out from the heat and break due to the continual stress of butt in and out of the seat. No great solution thoughts other than wire. Great video as usual!
My Tacoma does not have seat air bags but I have seen some saying that you have to re-calibrate the passenger seat for the dash airbag, (2005 Tacoma) to function, is this true?

@@wafflesquare oh you're all good, I just got upholstery in the mail for my Tacoma, and was trying to see what others were doing for the headrests. I made the decision to leave the factory cloth on the headrest and put the leather over it, if the cover wasn't like glued to the headrest foam?? Then id definitely take it off
Wait no that's silly, I hate to say it, but your audience for this video is definitely people whom are reupholstering their Tacomas, I don't even have a second, I have a third gen and this video helped me.

Thanks for the great instructions. Got the old seat out and the new seat in.
Tim, you are very welcome. I am so glad it was helpful!
Much appreciated! Going to remove my seat covers, and going to add heated seats while I am there.
Love it!!!

Thank you, Shane. I totally agree.
Great breakdown thank you. I have just bought one bottom seat cover for the drivers side of my 2014 Tacoma. That I need to install or have installed.
Hope this helps!!

I don’t know.
So is 2015 very different?
Great question. I don’t know the answer but would assume there is some difference since the covers from Lseat are within that year range.
I think 2015 should be included. Nothing changed until the 2016 body style
Lseat.com are very responsive so I would recommend contacting them.
just casually strips the headrest off camera
