    Shed Repo?
Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.
Here are a couple quotes we should live by:
Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it ... he who doesn't ... pays it. ― Albert Einstein
Live like no one else today, so you can live like no one else tomorrow. --Dave Ramsey
    Thanks for watching
    Have a great Day. Josh

Having worked in banking and credit industry, I can guarantee with 100% certainty that this woman has been contacted numerous times over a period of many months. This is controlled by Fair Debt Collection laws. Those contacts have clearly stated due dates, payment amounts due and deadlines before action is taken. She had every opportunity to pay, negotiate a payoff, make arrangements, move her own fence, etc. ABSOLUTELY NO bank or finances wants to take physical possession of a used stanky structure and the expense of removal and storage.
And side question- Who goes into debt and wrecks their credit to buy a shed for the purpose of storing random loose trash?

    1) you addressed every talking point of the guy without pulling a power play. You got your job done and he left with His ego intact.
    2) you removed a fence section and returned it back in working order before you left like it was never touched!
    3) you literally carried a 6x6 post with gate attached with awkward fencing attached like it was a Tonka toy! You are one strong repo man!! lol

    • @unnamed_channel
      @unnamed_channel 25 дней назад +2

Being poor may mean you can't afford $500 for a dumpster. I can get an old vehicle hauled away for free (or even get a couple hundred bucks) where I live, but I've no idea if that holds nationwide. I just dismantled a mattress and box spring and disposed of them over the last month in my regular garbage pickup because the landfill charges $110 if I were to bring them there. If you've never been at a point in your life where you don't have an extra $110 (not to mention $500) in your budget for garbage disposal then consider yourself lucky.
Also, property values normally only matter when you're buying or selling. If you're planning to sell and you can get all the junk removed in a month and the yard looking good then there's no "investment" consideration to be worried about.

I have a client that has storage units, and was considering branching out into storage buildings, until he looked at the percentage of buildings that were repossessed, in our area. I checked and it was right on the national average. He decided to purchase some additional property and build additional storage units. At least with them, he has the ability to deactivate the customer's card which stops them from entering the property. We wrote his customer contract where if they are delinquent on their rental, they agree that they will not be permitted back on the property until they are current, and their access card is deactivated and a lockout is placed on the unit. When they are 10 days late, they will receive a trespass from the property, so if they talk someone inside the facility into letting them in, they are then guilty of criminal trespass, and he will have them arrested. If they have tampered with the lockout, then they are looking at additional charges. Then it is just a matter of waiting for the obligatory time periods, and filing the abandonment documents. Then their items are moved to the warehouse for the semi-annual auction.

When I got out of the Army, I took a job working for a finance company with some repossession work from time to time. I had one man chase me with a pick-axe, putting in the hood of the car I was driving (company car-luckily), I had a double barrel shotgun pointed at my head through a crack in the door, chased with a baseball bat, etc. I had enough and quit after 2 years. Vietnam followed by danger from deadbeats. The emotion is real. Danger is real. This amish dude is essentially a repo man and is in harms way each time he takes a shed.

All contracts state: YOU CAN NOT FENCE IT IN, it has to be accessible for repo, IF SO THE FENCE COMES DOWN, THEY SIGNED THE CONTRACT TO THAT EFFECT -- CIVIL CASE.

  • @briananderson8733

IIRC a while back you said that there was a clause in rent to own contract that prevented the installation of a fence that might interfere with repossession of a rented shed.

Bishnu height!! When you said the guy from the rental place said the husband was at home i knew right then he was watching out the window waiting for the minute you took the fence down to come outside, and sure enough he did. I really wish you would wear a bullet proof vest, people these days are *CRAZY* and you never know what can happen when you have your back turned. Stay Safe!!

Your manner and politeness with people comes from how you were raised as a youngster. The fact that you continue to pursue self improvement is from how you were raised. For instance you dont swear or raise your voice. That alone prevents disasters in your line of work. Your polite way of informing the man how people are liars can nearly be overlooked ,and that is an enormous truth. A job well done!

It's understandable that people will get upset when they made some payments on property and then for whatever reason fell behind and now are facing repo. But at some point, we all know what the inevitable outcome to non-payment is and we all know the person handling the repo is just a working stiff. Having something repossessed is not dignified. But it's even less dignified to pay the victim when you aren't.
Creditors are not that hard to work with. Often good faith partial payments and communication is enough to keep the repo guy away for a while. I know it's sometimes gets hard especially in this broken economy. It gets hard for the creditors as well.

If I were the repo man I would be carrying my h&k with me I would never leave home without my backup especially in this business because some people really don't care and they do not mind going to jail for 60 years. This is a nice guy I would not debate it I would grab that thing and go and leave the fence laying on the ground because it says you cannot box it in until after it's paid for.
