Hey Josh just a quick note. I think you do an amazing job with an amazing, respectful, and Godly attitude. You do a difficult and confrontational at times job. Even though it’s a tough visit, the repo client couldn’t be more blessed to have you be the one to do it. I’m a commercial and residential building contractor in Virginia for 24 years ….also an electrician. On a safety and comfort side, you do exactly what you’re comfortable with and that’s awesome. Don’t even sweat that decision for your well being. On another note, liability wise it would not be worth it to disconnect or cut any live wire that’s not breaker accessible for you, unless that’s in the company you work for repo clause stating that if wires are cut y’all aren’t held liable for any damage. It’s definitely possible to safely disconnect even a live wire when you take care and diligence. If you’re licensed and or comfortable….. again falling back to an original contract and what the indemnities might be re: licensure. However, if a client states that you arc’d the circuit (hot touches a ground or neutral through simultaneous cutting, accidental touching after the fact, or if it’s dishonesty and you didn’t even arc them at all actually lol 🫣), the client could say it tripped breakers and blew their fridge, dishwasher, tv, electronics, etc. It stinks to have to make decisions related to potential accusation , but unfortunately in today’s world, things are changing for the worse and humanity is sadly slipping . I’ve learned the hard way over the years. Every addendum I’ve made to my contract over the years is because I got screwed and what I thought was unwritten common sense didn’t cover me 😇lol. All that to say, you did and are doing the right thing and you represent what you do well my brother. Great job man. As far as comments. People can disagree without being disagreeable and/or mean. There is no reason for someone to get into the gutter or sewer with comments either. I am trying to think of a way to cut the wires without you frying in the process. If you need to come back to take the shed and the power is still on, have a set of bolt cutters. The 3 heavy wires leading to the breaker box are the feed. Separate them as much as possible, use the cutters to cut one wire at a time and keep the cutters and yourself away from anything else to cut the wire. Tape up the end coming out of the ground. Proceed to the next wire and repeat the procedure until all 3 wires are cut. Then finish the repo as you normally do. By cutting one wire at a time, there is no where for the electricity to go to go to ground. The most that will be there is 120 between any 2 wires. If there is nothing on in the shed when the wires are cut there will be no current flowing to cause a spark.
It's weird that they had the kennel man door so tight up against the fence like that. It's amazing that they knew it would be repo'd, and they don't even care that the fence up around it, and still have working power to it.

You would think that with all the stuff done to that shed that they would be willing to work with you on payments. Heat and electricity and the fence.... ?? Sorry it just doesn't always seem to add up, you know? Stay SAFE!💕
The breaker is in the house main breaker panel inside. To confirm this, go to the main breaker panel on the house and turn off the house main power to the power company. Once off, cut the power under the shed, strip the wire coming out of the ground and put wire nuts on it and then put a pipe cover over the pipe.
@@justcrazy8605 negative. The homeowner signed a contract that gives the company access to the shed. It's as legally binding as a right of way or a deed restriction.

Yeah, no one wants to play with 220 power Bud. I don't blame you at all and it's not your fault. People don't make payments. People lose cars, everyday sheds are the same
If that electric company is like most others it has to have a power disconnect legally (ie a circuit breaker of some kind between the main power supply and the building ) if not contact the local power company they can meet you there and pull the meter while you cut it loose they may not put the meter back in if its not a legal tap

I am amazed that people have to resort to name calling, slurs and other belligerent behavior in comments. It usually highlights people with a sub 100 IQ, those are the only words they know to express themselves. We all have opinions and we all live in the same world. It would be so much better if we could express our opinions intelligently and have a discussion instead of the 4 year old "Did Not! Did Too! Did Not . . ." type of "conversations". Keep up the good work.
Also, just because you see your comment doesn't mean anyone else will. RUclips may shadowban you (and or your comments) and the only way to know is to see if you can view them when you're logged out of your account. (The easiest way is probably to just open the thread in an incognito tab.)

You ain't going to be able to put that back all nice you back the main pipe with an ax that whole electric is going to have to be done over again in order to pass inspection
In a situation like that, turn the main breaker off unhook the ground and neutral wires and cut the end of the wire tape it and the ground wire then pull the wire off the main breaker on the top of the panel and pull it out of the box.
I would just short out the wires in the dog house. It would pop the Circuit braker in the house. Use a big old screw driver. Now the power is off. Then disconnect the 3 wires in the box. i had to do it on a AC unit one time..Just keep one hand in your pocket and your eyes closed when you trip or short out the wires in the box that's in the dog house.
The next time you get a chance, take a half hour or so and find a tutorial here on You Tube on how to disconnect an electrical service. Please be careful when doing this kind of thing. Because you work alone it is so important that you are extra careful when working around electricity. Just want you to stay safe. And Josh, if people are making nasty comments they obviously have a personal issue. Don't let those folks bother you.
Cut the wires individually at 2 inch length intervals below the main box, Tape up individually and pull shed. Dry wood is good to stand on with other hand in pocket.
Sir, if it ticks you off to see kids living in those conditions - what do you do to make their lives better? Do you call Child Protective Services? Do you have local resources for agencies (shelters, housing authority, etc) that you can connect them with to help them? I'm the kind of person that feels if I'm not actively doing something to change and hopefully improve their situation, then I'm part of the problem - do you share that opinion?
Since I’m really old I have learned in life, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. There is nothing wrong in being civil to people; it doesn’t impinge on your freedom of speech to get your point across nicely. We can disagree, but there is no need to be rude, foul or vicious.
Hey, Josh and Sarah! A tricky one this time. I'm glad that you didn't move the thing around so that it shorted the circuit! It looked like it might be connected directly to the house panel in the basement, and if that trips, the house shuts down. You don't want that. 😟
It looks professionally wired. That means the sub panel in the doghouse would be fed from two or more circuit breakers on or near the main house panel. Shorting the circuits in the doghouse would safely trip the breakers in the house but not the main house circuits. Improperly wired? Danger of burning the house down!!
This should have been easy! Turn the main breaker OFF at the main house (assuming it was accessible), cut the three wires in the panel in the shed, pull the shed clear, wrap the cut wire ends with electricians tape and flag them, and then turn the main breaker at the house back ON. Note that allot of safely steps have been omitted for brevity, but you get the idea. You could have called an electrician. I do understand you erring on the side of caution here. ;)

undo 1 wire... cap... tape... tape some more... then some more.... undo second wire.... cap.....tape...tape some more.......then the 3rd wire. Carefully feed them down the pipe. pulling is bad
Most likely it's against the law to leave unhooked live wires outside merely capped with wire nuts. Maybe if he also had a cap for the pipe and some glue.
"our shed is locked" lol those will drill out in 2 seconds.
Now I really want a followup on this one to see what happens. It didn't really look like they were using it so they might not even notice for a while. Thanks for explaining the comments. Thanks for taking us along and giving us some good puns.😄
My son did repo fora bit. Such a high stress employment. You seem to handle it with grace and sympathy. Thank you.
What neat piece of equipment you have there to move those sheds with. You’ve got a really hard job to do and I give you kudos for your attitude and information output in your videos
When you're dealing with electricity, there's at least three hazards you need to deal with:
1) shock
2) heat (burns, fire, welding, ...)
3) arc flash
Also, at least around here, it is illegal to damage other property to repo your property. So just yanking could cause damage to house side and lead to legal consequences. Though laws vary everywhere.
You do great job and try to work with others. It’s sad people aren’t respectful to others. Keep up hard work
Very interesting job. I watch your videos all the time. Great job
Nice work Josh good attitude 👍
Some people can improve thier financial situation with money management classes. There is plenty of resources through videos, books,
in person guidance. Money management sessions private or classes may just change someone's life.
Take it from an Aussie...your puns were great!! Love your channel too. Cheers from Tasmania.
If u do not know how to disconnect electric wiring dont mess with it ,i kid u not i saw the outline of a man on the wall.of him etched into the wall he didnt make it. So so sad i had an electrical contracting bussiness for 30 years saw alot and saw alot of people hurt not knowing what they were doing. So please be safe God bless u sir and take some courses and get a friend that you can call for disconects and learn from them dont have metal tools in your hands. By the way im a woman its a scary time sometimes so be careful .
You do a great job and you are so patient. Keep it up, Sir.
Josh no need to apologize for someone else’s mistakes (non-payment). You are just going to work and doing your job. Yes, heart ❤️ goes out to the children 👦🏻 👧. It’s the parents fault or bad times for them. Pray the next generation is better ❤
Hey love this content.been watching 4 a while now.u do good work.keep up the good work.
Great and educational, Thanks for posting your videos!
Sorry you didn't get this one but have a happy and safe holiday ❤
I love both of your channels! There is always someone that has to give negative comments. I pray for those people to find peace in their lives.
I have peace with the lord but the title is not the best
Leaves out his wife
Love your explanation on the comments. Nobody has the right to tell people how they should live in their own home. As heartbreaking as it is with the kids, still their house, their rules absent abuse or neglect.
For the record, 50 yrs old no kids. Never married.
I think your a good guy. For repo work you have a great personality
Get a mains rated outdoor plastic isolation box to put the end of cable and screw it to side of house.
You would think that with all the stuff done to that shed that they would be willing to work with you on payments.
Heat and electricity and the fence.... ?? Sorry it just doesn't always seem to add up, you know?
Stay SAFE!💕
Shit happens, life happens. People were prob down on their luck. He broke into their property wtf
@@TheGMRGIRL He broke onto their property? You must be one in the shed? Look up REPO!
Took me a while to get my shed moved from my front to back yard. Most of the movers are busy installing or doing repos.
The breaker is in the house main breaker panel inside. To confirm this, go to the main breaker panel on the house and turn off the house main power to the power company. Once off, cut the power under the shed, strip the wire coming out of the ground and put wire nuts on it and then put a pipe cover over the pipe.
I am shocked how many shed repos there are. I am also shocked how easy that fence section was to remove and put back.
Agree. People here build decks and sheds. They don’t buy them with borrowed money. This is new to me
@@justcrazy8605 not rewatching but they didn’t enter anywhere in a home but took property not paid for?
@@justcrazy8605 negative. The homeowner signed a contract that gives the company access to the shed. It's as legally binding as a right of way or a deed restriction.
Love your attitude!😂
The deck repo. at the start of the video was hilarious.
YEH BYE BYE DECK I thought that was a good one also
Good video. I still don't know how you would have gotten it out of the yard without removing another section of fence and a fence post. Was that your plan to remove a fence post?
Your just doing your job I understand
I didn't realize you came to toledo to repo I live just west of toledo. Nice job. Love the channel
Haha when you said what time is it I yelled it’s repo time
Yeah, no one wants to play with 220 power Bud. I don't blame you at all and it's not your fault. People don't make payments. People lose cars, everyday sheds are the same
I can’t wait until this guy repos my shed so I can meet him 🤣
If that electric company is like most others it has to have a power disconnect legally (ie a circuit breaker of some kind between the main power supply and the building ) if not contact the local power company they can meet you there and pull the meter while you cut it loose they may not put the meter back in if its not a legal tap
if you pull hard, it gets disconnected ;-) no, cut the 3 black wires, and stagger the cuts
It must be difficult having creepy comments put up on your repo videos. From what I can tell, every channel has trolls. Thanks for the intel on RUclips screening.
I'd love to see what happened with this one. So glad that you backed away from dealing with the electric.
Hope you will do an update on this project, if you are sent out again. The people seem like they almost anticipated this would happen, so they put the subjunction box where you couldn't get it.
😄😄
An earthquake turned my shed, can you come out and reset my shed
Also, just because you see your comment doesn't mean anyone else will. RUclips may shadowban you (and or your comments) and the only way to know is to see if you can view them when you're logged out of your account. (The easiest way is probably to just open the thread in an incognito tab.)
Not worth the risk, Josh. What if you managed to disconnect the Power and a child found and played with the wires? Better be safe than sorry. You did the wise thing. Love your Videos.
You ain't going to be able to put that back all nice you back the main pipe with an ax that whole electric is going to have to be done over again in order to pass inspection
I'm not sure how I found your channel but I'm shocked that people finance a shed
I'm shocked that people buy them and not build them for a 1/4 of the price.
@@oldfordman68 especially when you can buy it completely prefabricated
It is marketed as cheaper than a rental storage unit, plus it is on site.
@@SuperDrumwolf Have you seen the price of wood? I spent $300 in materials just to make a work bench
Hope you will do a follow up to this video.
🤔
Such a nice kennel not to have any dogs to put in it. Too bad it was wired like that. You put in a lot of work.
In a situation like that, turn the main breaker off unhook the ground and neutral wires and cut the end of the wire tape it and the ground wire then pull the wire off the main breaker on the top of the panel and pull it out of the box.
Well I just though you were a nice guy for putting the fence back. Wish I could say that about me.
I look forward to episodes coming out !
🤠👍🏼☀️☀️
Dang, what a mess they left for you! (Electric)
I was surprised you didnt cut the conduit and the wires feeding the shed
The wires are live, there's a risk of being electrocuted & death .
@@ZainalAbidin-d8q I was being sarcastic when I said that, he could have started a fire by doing what he did.
love ur videos man, keep doing what u do
I would just short out the wires in the dog house.
As long as the breaker is functional…..
Love you videos from London
How come you dont bring repo paperwork/contract for the repos to keep the tenants somewhat docile/in check?
As long as you cut 1 wire at a time then tape or wire nut them before moving to the next your safe. Also wear leather gloves
Great vid, I had no idea people could finance a shed
Cut the wires individually at 2 inch length intervals below the main box, Tape up individually and pull shed. Dry wood is good to stand on with other hand in pocket.
Sir, if it ticks you off to see kids living in those conditions - what do you do to make their lives better? Do you call Child Protective Services? Do you have local resources for agencies (shelters, housing authority, etc) that you can connect them with to help them? I'm the kind of person that feels if I'm not actively doing something to change and hopefully improve their situation, then I'm part of the problem - do you share that opinion?
So the best thing to do to stop them taking it is to hard wire it in thanks for the tip😂
I'm sure they new about the repo. They should have had the electricity already disconnected.
It looks professionally wired. That means the sub panel in the doghouse would be fed from two or more circuit breakers on or near the main house panel. Shorting the circuits in the doghouse would safely trip the breakers in the house but not the main house circuits. Improperly wired? Danger of burning the house down!!
i would keep something in my truck that draws a lot of power to try to pop the circuit breaker it will not reset itself
I do understand you erring on the side of caution here. ;)
They sell a pocket pen sized electric tester, you should get one just for saftey knowing when it is hot or not .
Yep should get one that can withstand 500V yet will detect anything above 100V .
The light switch was a pretty good indicator too.
