Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.

They probably do have an attorney because they've been caught doing some stupid shit in the past and had to hire one. From that point forward, they think they have a personal relationship with that attorney and when they call they think he's going to drop everything to handle whatever problem they're having. I know this because I was one of those dipshits many years ago (minus the rent-a-shed and pajama pants).

I wouldn't last a day doing this. They'd fire me. I'd have taken the entire unit, with everything in it, and they can came down to the lot to get their stuff. This is a very nice guy doing a lot of work and putting up with this. Hats off!

In alot of cases, I tend to agree. But I have a shop that I store tools, outdoor power equipment, chemicals, and other such things in. Would that be called too much junk/ trash? I wouldn't want to store any of the stuff I store in my shop in my house. That could be Very dangerous.
@@Anon-Amos That is not what I am talking about, that is what is supposed to be in an outdoor storage building. Plus I bet you bought your shed or if you rent to own you paid your bill. What I am talking about is people living in poverty and spending good money that they don't have on storage rentals for useless home decor items, toys, clothes they don't wear, Christmas decorations, and broken home appliances.
If you have something for more than 6 months and you haven't used it, you should consider getting rid of it.

I know two women who had heart attacks and heart surgery and STILL are smoking against their Dr's wishes🙄😒. Not even that stopped them from smoking 🤨. It amazes me how people put smoking habbits above the feeling of their families love for them.

@@murraychadwick9362 it is very hard to fathom. My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer after a lifetime of chain-smoking. Her diagnosis was when she was 60 years old. We sent her to a hypnotist several times but she never really wanted to quit. Her stopping after the diagnosis of lung cancer wouldn't have saved her life but watching her continue to indulge in what was going to kill her was very hard from a family's perspective. After speaking to her oncologist, he explained that at this point the damage was done and if she got any pleasure from smoking why not let her live out her days that way. I didn't like it but he did make me understand from a different perspective so after that point, I never ridiculed her anymore for smoking. She died almost a year to the day after Her diagnosis

When we moved out to the country, we bought land with almost zero storage. We ended up donating or gifting about 60% of our stuff. I never felt more relief! Before anyone asks, no, we have NOT replaced it with more stuff. Today, we build things with what we own in mind, and if we don’t need it, we do not buy it!

I donated SO much stuff I'd had for years when I had to retire earlier than anticipated and it was liberating! Then I sat and wondered why I had all the stuff in the first place, guess people, including myself at one time, thought the bigger the house, the more crap you didn't use or need was status or a temporary sense of success....anyway, took me most of my life to live comfy and simply.

Somehow Josh and Sarah’s videos made their way into my RUclips feed and I’m happy. I love watching them. I’m being very enlightened as to how some people live. The junk, trash, garbage, filth! I can’t even. How do they even get approved for a rent to own??? I live in Canada. We pay taxes and have garbage, recycle and compost pick up weekly. Is this not the case in Ohio? They all seem to have tvs, pools, and lots of unnecessary crap but can’t make a payment on shelter?.. I’m at a loss to understand all this. Help me understand.

I don't believe you really want to understand. It's obvious you don't. If you really seriously wanted to understand you'd put your mind to it and figure it out. You take a small (probably used) flat screen from another person's upgrade and turn it into "pools and Tv's" that they ALL have. Hyperbole too.

You can use a regular flathead on those tamper resistant Torx screws. 😉
The correct tamper-resistant bits are available at almost every hardware store. I work on appliances and I have to use them all of the time. They come in bit sets that are no more expensive than your average set of common drill bits.

I rent a storage shed from my landlord for my 2 push mowers,riding lawnmower,extention ladder,grill,truck ramps,lawn cart,garden equipment,gas cans,toolbox.Thats NOT JUNK!!😊
People hear what they want, and they dont read the legal agreement. It is right in the RTO contract that the purchaser is giving RTO and their representatives permission to come onto the premises, for delivery, and removal if necessary. Im not sure, but I think that you can legally take the stuff in the building also. Any permanent additions stay with the building.
Unless these types recently "slipped" in the Walmart and are wearing a neckbrace, I assure you they do not have an attorney.

Where I live, you have to have everything locked up with double locks or they steal it !! I’ve even had them break into my windows on my shop building and now it’s boarded over .
On some of the videos you can see it is a real hassle to deal with some of the folks, and then the way they leave things in a shed, expecting you to haul it out, I can see how you would want to change up your career to safer, less work, and better product, talking about your amish background with you and your wife will be great, look forward to your new videos.

Yo Brother Josh, anyone that finds themselves in a situation where their rent-to-own property is being repossessed for non payment has zero chances of engaging an attorney. It's what we call lip service when these people say, I'll call my attorney and take you to court. The fees they would pay a lawyer just to file a for a court date would surely cover the cost of the shed. Also, a lawyer would not go up against an iron clad contract that the shed company has surely put together to cover all circumstances. I'm glad you don't have that drama to deal with anymore but I will miss watching it unfold each week.

Armchair quarterback here. if I was in your trade I'd have a Rt Angle tool with cutoff blade as standard kit. Hasp or Lock-Be-Gone instantly without shed damage. The screws look like torx, nothing special about them and being used more and more in construction.

More and more people than ever before are lounging all day, every day, instead of working, with more and more social programs being developed to take care of them.
These people forget that the agreement they sign when they get these buildings clearly says if payment is not made they are ALLOWED to retrieve their building.
