The homeowner seemed like a nice guy, and Alex is a nice guy who treated his stuff nicely. I'd like to hope whoever clears out my hobbies and collections and whatnot are nice to me. Death comes to us all, it all changes in a heartbeat. At least this guy enjoyed his life, rode his Harley, took his kid snowboarding. Raise a glass.
What about the family? I am sad looking at this. The person was not old. Sporty stuff. House in good condition. Good luck. I don't think i can watch this
I feel like that could be me someday, based on the items found. I kept thinking of the man whose tools those were and I knew what kind of things he loved.
My daughter has a small antique business in NB and I live in North Carolina . One day she asked if I ever watched your channel. I said funny you say that, I watch him all the time. Now how cool is that?
The truck, the Harley, all the tool boxes and tools.... Keep!! This is a great investment. I love the counter height table and chairs! I love it all, even the house! ! ❤
Makes me a little sad seeing some of the stuff left behind. Doesn't seem like the person was that old. The video game stuff is relatable to me. The little lamb chop with "I need a hug" tugged at my heartstrings.
me too I was like this has to be a younger person .. weights video game stuff then I was kinda thrown only 1 relative out of country so why all the dirt bikes and bicycles if maybe didnt have kids?? a mystery
@@laurabrown5983 Man, I actually felt pretty bad with how relatable all the upstairs bedroom stuff was to me. I’m 30 and all of the older gaming consoles and other electronics were popular right in my age range, if not a little younger. :(
Yes Brodie Smith. Clean out those areas. My husband said I can clean out his stuff when he’s gone. How selfish is that…clean out your stuff yourself….if they are worth anything give your family the money now, and you enjoy there company etc..
It’s definitely a different feeling watching you go through a youngish person’s newish items instead of getting lost in the nostalgia/history of older items.
Before a family's house was emptied we always had someone staying there until everything was finalized. Heard of too many thefts and vandalism in some homes. Very sad when it comes to vandalism.
Sorry for the family's loss. Sending my condolences to the family. Thank you for donating a lot of this stuff for underprivileged families. At least it will come to good use. It looks like you will come out to the good on this. Great video, keep them coming and I'll keep watching ❤
This one made me think of who lived there the most, it felt so much more intrusive going through what was clearly a younger person's home. Eerie and a little sad.
Same here. It's one thing to breathe new life into a hoarded home in disrepair, but this home already has so much life in it. Everything left the way it was the last day it had occupants, down to a dirty dish that never made it into the wash. Just heartbreaking.
These kinds of episodic shows are so much fun to watch. Thank you for taking us, your viewers, on the journey with you. Not really a hoarder in the home, but kind of in the storage areas.
First time seeing your videos. This makes me sad that someone so young is no longer with us and that no one could come to handle his things. Seems like he was a cool guy and very active too. Hope they have peace knowing people such as you and your wife are willing to do what others cannot.
Reminds me of going through my friends house after he passed. It was more emotional obviously since I knew the person. It was really weird. Same feeling I get watching this one. Dirty dishes, food in the fridge, dirty laundry. Folded clothes judt waiting to be worn. Boxes and clutter that were out to the side to be cleaned anothwr day. Except that day never came. It really makes you feel the weight of life. One day you're here and the next day you aren't. I'm glad you treated their stuff nicely and not just throwing things around and brishing things off. Instead takjng interest in what they might of had going on and what hobbies they enjoyed.
Wow! When you said another clean out, I automatically thought of an elderly person. This is totally a younger person's home. Really looks like someone left quickly and only took what they could as most of the clothes are gone .
It could easily be an older person's home too, older people also enjoy gaming and riding motorbikes. Heck there was a guy who lived mear me who rode an enormous Harley trike, he would ride around dressed as Santa Claus - he was 81 but didnt look it. I think it is the deceased estate of an older person because of all the Snap On tools and the old man type clothes in the wardrobe. May the gent rest in peace.
@Denise Meredith I think the snow boards would indicate a younger person. I think they had a good job. The physics textbook makes me think they were a STEM major in college. I would guess maybe an engineer or the like. Especially since they like repairing things
I think this person was active, but somewhat older, mostly because of the glimpse of music. Elvis, Charley Pride and Herb Alpert…not to say some young people aren’t interested in music of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, but it’s a tell. The snowboard selection makes me think 40s or younger.
For all those who are feeling very sad and speculating that a very young person lived in this home and passed on, Alex noted in a reply to someone that the man who passed away was in his 60's and had a son in his 20's. Sixties is still far too young but he also was not in his 20's as many are speculating due to the snowboarding gear etc. Death is always sad and these videos where we see the last dish still sitting where the man who lived there left them the last day he walked out of his home hit hard. We are all going to pass on at some time and most of us will not have any idea when that last day is going to be. My best friend of over 32 years dried her dinner dishes and went out to get her last steps in for the day, she was obsessed with her 10,000 steps counter, she took very good care of her health. She was not 3 minutes from her house on the sidewalk when a man who drank his dinner at the local tavern hit and killed her, she had just celebrated her 55th birthday. She left her dishes drying in the rack , intending to put them away in 30 minutes when she came back she never did. Alex's videos do many things, and have provided me with countless hours of incredible videos filled with so much love and empathy for those who have passed on, and in some cases when he started the video series where still with us. His videos are a stark reminder that no one knows when will be our last hug, our last "i love you" to those we hold so dear to us. I sure wish I could tell my best friend one more time how much i treasured the decades of ups and downs we had lived through together, but I was left holding her hand in the ICU with her hooked up to a breathing machine while they searched for others to receive her organs as she left this world giving vision and life to others, just as she lived her life always thinking of others. I am reminded to get moving on sorting through things that need to be sold or donated or pitched because I would hate for my family to have to deal with my clutter in such a time of sadness and grief. Alex provides an incredible service to families and does it with all the kindness one would expect from a fellow Canadian.
I'm with you on going through stuff and not leaving it for my kids to do. I'm 63 and a bit of a pack rat so... There is a great book, The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning that helps put "stuff" into perspective.
My condolences to you for the loss of your friend and Thank you for your thoughtful words. Hearing this after my mother told me she was doing her WILL today at age 63.
Swedish death cleaning. I'm in my 50s. Reasonably good health. But you never know. I watched a video about Swedish death cleaning and needed to do that for my family. It's a good idea to clear the clutter so the fam doesn't have too much to do
This one is a little hard for me because I’m assuming young adult (s) lived here. I’m sure your service expertise in this clear out is appreciated. It may be a stress not because of hoarding but because of the shock of the loss.
@@northernerinnc3179 I agree with you: three men lived in that house. The paperwork said there was only 1 owner; and their only other relative lived in a different country. I can easily see this as college buddies, brothers, or cousins or immigrants sharing the house, but why did the other two guys leave behind their belongings? Why did the families of the other two, not want their belongings? oh, that is not a pleasant thought. eyeah. I just worked out what I think happened, and like Yam Moods- it's too heartbreaking to think about it. The registrations of the Cars and the motor bikes will confirm my horrible thoughts.
WOW Harley and Herculese what a find!! ... You'll probably make about 50 grand plus after you've moved stuff and given things to places. And then money back on cars too etc.. What a lot of great stuff. Place was taken good care of, also good quality furniture. Love the bikes... Some lucky person will be happy to buy the bikes
I wonder if you pull the 2 cushions off of one couch will fit the larger couch so you can donate. Kudos 👏 to finding a place that helps one's less fortunate. Nice finds you two! Def made profit
I can't help but wonder what happened to the people that lived here. They were young people. I'm happy for you but sad for them to lose a lifetime of cars, motorcycles, bikes, snowboards, etc. it's one thing when an elderly person dies but much sadder when someone still in the prime of their life is just gone. Poor family.
Obviously older people play games but what they’re saying is it it wasn’t a 78-year-old man based off of the items around the house come on now it’s sad. You know this person was young.
@@Snarkapotamus You are being totally unfair with Julie Jorgensen. I am almost 71 and have some of those things also, but the overall picture is that the clothing, lack of aged personal items, no pictures on walls or counters, etc all indicate that a younger man lived there. The possibility of it being an older man is true. The probability of it being an older man is small. Learn to communicate with a little more niceness in your remarks please.
This video just popped in my feed today. Watching this is a bit sad because there’s no family to take care of these possessions. This makes me want to go through my own home and clean out before my last days. I am over 65 and can still do this task so there’s not so much for the person who will take over.
Thank goodness you came back on to my RUclips channels! I had lost you both after you moved into the new house and sold the shop. I thought had seen the last of you, sadly. You are back! Shall hopefully keep watching you again and all your wonderful treasure hunting.
My favourite part about all of this is seeing all of this useful stuff put back into use! Three cars sitting there collecting dust you will hopefully be able to get back into the road while they’re still road-worthy…! So many treasures for people to own and love again. :)
I am so glad you are donating the furniture to such a worthy cause . I wonder if they would take the dishes and any household appliances that don't go to auction as well . Might save you running to multiple places and would do a world of good. With all those vehicles. tools and sports equipment Im sure you have your money back . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Hi Alex and Melissa, another fine project to complete and get new vids from you! always enjoy your adventures. thanks for everything, and a special thanks for donation to the family arriving from the Ukraine. wonderful that you do this!
Did I miss what happened to the people who once lived there? Did they pass? One of my biggest fears is I'll leave this life and I won't have family left to clear out my home. Thank you for taking us along.
Yes the person passed on and his only living relative was over seas and did not want to come back and deal with it so asked a law firm to take care of it.
Personally, I think those couches will be fine for donating for the apartments set up. I have been known to buy a nice leather couch with a few cut spots and use a cover on the cushions until I could get it recovered. Not as much hidden treasures in this one, but do keep us informed as to your resale or revenue return on the electronics and the weapons as well as the vehicles.
I agree about the couches. I think they should be offered to the family who can decide whether to accept or not. They can use it until they are able to get something better or more to their liking.
Looks like you made another good deal, so congrats on that! I love what you're doing with the furniture ❤️ It may not be terribly valuable, but most of it looked nice & in decent shape. You're going to make some peoples' lives better who really need it. Looking forward to the rest of the series, thanks for taking us along!
The EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 box at 25:30 was once containing a close to top tier graphics card from a few generations back. It can still be used for 1080p gaming if you find it and it works properly, as it still can compete with a modern RTX 3060 just without raytracing, I'd check inside the computer tower in the closet at 21:55. If it's in there the chances are that the rest of the computer parts in it is pretty top of the line from a few years back as well.
It appears to be in there. I have 2, it looks right. But it may be an upgrade rather than top of the line machine. Not that it matters, since it could hold stuff that has to go back to the family. Unless of course it gets backed up (probably for the best considering computers aren't cheap to ship).
@@RikkiCattermole Take out the hard drive/SSD and send that to the family, keep the computer. The Geforce could also be in the computer in the living room.
Looking at ebay UK depending on exact model this can be £200 upwards. During pandemic gaming graphics cards went crazy as supplies dried up and seem to be holding some value. Definitely worth pulling from whichever case it's in and selling separately and not unknowingly donating. Great video again and looks like a more manageable less stress clear out than previous. Looking forward to seeing your Snap on personal tool set upgrade
@@RikkiCattermole True, you'd have to check that first. An encrypted hard drive/SSD in a gaming PC doesn't seem all that likely though. I've never actually worked with HDD encryption so I wasn't aware that Bitlocker is tied to the hardware rather than just a software encryption until I read up on it after reading your reply!
This was a great yoga session for me. I've had serious illnesses and an injury that led to an injury called sharko foot, Causing a serious disability. Much respect on what you decided to do with all that furniture. Maybe it wasn't high end pricey stuff but it was still in great condition and you could have gotten something for it. So nice that you found a great cause to give it to.❤️
New viewer here. First off my daughters name is Melissa and my sons name is Steven! This property could have belonged to my husband (hypothetically). He is a car mechanic and has many tools just like I saw today. He has a Cobalt SS two door that is his baby. He has a Buell motorcycle too. So many items in this house that had me shouting "I have that". The big frying pan in the kitchen, the guitars, the workout equipment upstairs in the house, video games, the ipods in the box, tons of craftsman and snap on tools, and more. If we lived closer he would have purchased every tool and box you have.
Very exciting looks like a good lot of things for you to get your money back on. So nice of you to donate the furniture ,good to see. Looking forward to seeing what's uncovered. Janette from Australia
This one is pretty exciting for the tools and other stuff in the garage. I think you are underestimating the value of the truck. Here in the states, used trucks, especially 4x4 and lifted are well over $10K US. Between the cars and the motorcycles you are well over your costs. The tools and other things are a huge bonus for your own garage along with the engine lift and stuff in the shed. It's going to be fun to figure out what to keep and what to sell.
As my wife and I were watching this, she kept on saying how the person who lived here must have been my long lost twin. His house and belongings shockingly resemble my own before I was married up. How old was this guy if you may ask? I'm 33 and this guy could have been my best friend in another life 😂
thanks for being honest about your keys. i lost mine yesterday and found them later in my pocket. you povied a good service. i was a bit scared for you until you opened the shed. sad that someone pass, but looked like he rock while alive.
You do such important work. I love how you are so compassionate toward the people who lived in the homes you clear out. Living where you do, I think a snow blower may be a useful investment..
I love what you are doing with the furniture. Could the dishes and clothes be donated the same way? Thank you for having a good moral compass. God be with you all!
Hi Alexander and Melissa nice to see you together at this house clearance, hope you do well some good stuff around cars, motorbikes, and lots of tools best of luck love your videos 👍❤

The house is absolutely great I would move in it the way that it is it is amazing I don't know how many houses you can find like that probably not many
The dirt bike was $1698 when new in 1978, Hercules 250 GS enduro, probably sell for about 6-8k at a collectors auction like Mecum have. $200 just to register and bid
No jewelry? No Christmas stuff? No pottery? Definitely a Dude house. Always sad to see the remnants of a life that has passed but his belongings are in good hands.
There is a strong following for Ford Crown Victorias, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Cars here in the states. They were the truly last, full frame, V8 powered, rear wheel drive American car produced. I have owned a 2011 Grand Marquis and a 2003 Mercury Marauder. The latter of which I was stopped in traffic and asked if I would sell it. There are even tuners shops like ADTR that have super charger, and 6 speed manual conversion kits. If the one you have there is a good example you could get a good price for it. They are super reliable and run forever.
What an amazing find on this house with the motorcycles! I’m glad you got the car and truck started. The bolts for the motorcycle seat were in the plastic bin rolling around where the seat was. Can’t wait till your next video!
I’m so excited for another clear out! Each is unique - this is definitely a one off with the bikes, vehicles, tools, & games. Looking forward to the next installment.
How fantastic!! You really scored. Haven't been on your channel for a while so it was good to see what you two were up to. Good luck with moving everything and selling & donating. You are so kind to help the people get some nice furniture. Thank you.
Looks like some great stuff! So glad it is not dusty and biohazard-ish :) Thinking about your health and well being :) Look forward to more episodes and adventure!
Nice little home. It looks like two generations lived there. The old Albums and all the young man toys. What a great buy! Looks like you did it again Alexander congratulations!
If your dropping off furisture and have a spare ladder it would be helpful if a smoke detector needs a battery replaced. when you have nothing and suddently realize you need pens and paper and screwdriver means a lot of little expenses that do add up. When I moved to america I had 2 suitcases and that was it. I had 2 towels and 2 cups, bowls and plates.. I went to a laundry mat and asked if anyone had a sofa they no longer needed and ii got lucky with a 2 seater andn3 seater and a picture for the wall. I also got a sewing machine which I sewed curtains for around my canopy top bed. I got cheap fabric at a sewing shop.
I love these clean outs, but this one got me… this looked to be a bachelor of probably my sons age… sad he had no next of kin… except 1 that lived in another country. Thank you Alex for all you do. 💜
À year later plus the clocks go forward just after midnight come Sunday 31st March 2024.... I felt sad watching this video when you was showing us around the vehicles, Grill, work bench and kiaks. Do you ever explain who the people are who passed and how they passed. Sad just one person alone and family member in another country. How old was the person who passed and what happened to how this life ended. I just wondered. I used to walk past places that were empty when I lived in Northern Ireland. Some lovely derelict empty homes, that someone had lovingly taken care of just left with everything there, furniture and garden things and equipment. I was homeless back then in 2005 and thought about using one of the property's to live in, but then thought it was too disrespectful to the persons who had lovingly taken care of their homes for years... I went to a refuge instead. But do you ever think of who they were and how they lived. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with everything. From me in Leeds UK England xx
It's sad to see a house of a younger person that passed away. But quite an active guy that must have been. Your sons will be able to together there own fitness with what they find in the house. Looking forward to next episodes.
Alex said in another comment that the man who passed away was in his 60's, he had a son in his 20's so that is why we are seeing belongings of a younger person.
@@seabreezeA1A He mentioned at the beginning of the video that the only family member is living in another country so that makes it quite a lot harder to deal with items. Likely all items they left behind from their teenage days anyways so probably not worth much to them at that point or just unable to get back to handle it all.
My guess is that a father and son lived here. Son moved to another country taking his clothes and personal items, but leaving gym stuff and video games behind in dad's house. Then the pandemic struck and the son got stuck abroad, while the father died of covid or something. Son has made a life in the other country and isn't coming back or it's too far and he's too busy. If the son moved abroad he's highly unlikely to want weight sets shipped to him or other sports or gaming stuff. Tools and records are dad's; games and weights are the son's. Possibly they both loved kayaking and fishing and outdoor activities together. Two kayaks. Harley and a dirt bike. Pair of matching bikes. Sounds like father and son to me. Maybe very close and the son is too broken up by the loss of his father to go back and go through his stuff.
That was my thought too. Fair bit of young guy stuff then things like all the snapon tools etc a young guy might struggle to afford, then the elvis records which would suit an older guy, plus both bedrooms had beds in them.
Good finds. That snap-on half inch impact gun gos for just over 900(hundred) now new I have to ask how much for the Harley. Always wanted one mite be my chance
Glad to see another clear out video, they are my favorites. The suspense has begun on what you will find. Wonderful that you are donating the furniture to such a good cause. You are such good people.!!!!!
This house is amazingly normal and only a little cluttered . It shouldn't take long to clear out , although a lot of things are going to be heavy they also look quite useful and worthy to be sold as well .
Looks like you struck gold again, Alexander, both with the house/shed/garage contents, and with the RUclips interest! It looks like young people must have been involved there, so I feel sad hearing there was a death and no family around to handle the house contents. Those kind of buyouts must be difficult for you to undertake, but you always do the right thing and turn suffering and sadness into a blessing for someone. I like that the furniture is going to Ukrainian families. We are really looking forward to seeing you clean this property out and do well selling the good stuff. Please give your beautiful wife a hug from BanDana Gramma! ❤❤
Alex get your self a NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000 Amp 12-Volt UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starter Box, they are great and will start up to 20 cars on one charge . That booster that's in the house is ok but needs maintenance to keep it working ( ask me how I know ) lol the ecoboost is not that expensive and will last a life time up to 2500 charges with zero maintenance . I bought one
Looking at all the things left behind, you get the impression of a relatively young person. Perhaps the overwhelm was not so much physical, for how much effort it would have taken to clean up after them, but emotional, from confronting the reality of their demise. So sad. As always, you are amazingly good at spotting value and keeping your chin up (not to mention, working much harder than most people … personally I’d have been worn out by just clearing away the snow …)
38:11 After briefly seeing the garage, I would hazard a guess that you are well into the profit column. If the Crown Vic is a genuine police vehicle, contact Scott from Cold War Motors. He has two friends (Dan and Paul) that collect ex-police vehicles.
I hope Alex tells us the story about the owner of this house/contents. Only if it’s ok per his family. (located over seas) It’s obvious that this person was younger but had the means to buy the things that gave him enjoyment.
I just found you , I'm already in love, This is close to what my life and business is, a lot of hard 🤣 But yet a lot of fun, you never know what you're going to get in a box of chocolates"""😂 hahaha ""Well you know as I know (God's blessings that he gives to) Enjoy have fun..❤️🙏 Mary Christ's birthday to you. 🎄
The Sach's powered Hercules looks more like one of their two strokes, radial fins for cooling, expansion chamber exhaust all classic two stroke features.
That Hercules is probably a 175cc made in the 70is made in Germany sort of like a dirt bike style if it works and runs could get you $3,000 for a collector. Wow that house was full of sellable stuff, bikes and and all of that sports equipment plus the cars/truck plus tools and toolboxes, wow we would think this house should give you a small/ medium profit, plus lots of fun. All those cleaning products you can keep and machines should also bring in some $$. Was fun to watch!!

@@travislux5539 there is a family member, they just aren't in Canada. That's why he's clearing the house.
This one made me think of who lived there the most, it felt so much more intrusive going through what was clearly a younger person's home. Eerie and a little sad.
Exactly what I felt.
Same here. It's one thing to breathe new life into a hoarded home in disrepair, but this home already has so much life in it. Everything left the way it was the last day it had occupants, down to a dirty dish that never made it into the wash. Just heartbreaking.
Yeah, I couldn’t do this. 😢

Alex and family: you are truly blessed because you bless others. Love going along on your adventures.

@@juliemama - I didn't either. My guess, either a divorcee or a loner...
Alex! You and the family have 1/2 million subscribers!
First time seeing your videos. This makes me sad that someone so young is no longer with us and that no one could come to handle his things. Seems like he was a cool guy and very active too. Hope they have peace knowing people such as you and your wife are willing to do what others cannot.
What happened to the people
Reminds me of going through my friends house after he passed.
I take the word "estate" to mean this person died. I totally agree that they were younger. I think they were 25 -35, based on the contents.
@@dunebuggie I would say more like 45-60 , I am 50 years old and that stuff seems in my age bracket
@Makeuplover very well said. This was very sweet of you to write this thank you.
To me it looks like a family home where all the kids moved out and left stuff behind.
I thought the same thing -- what happened to the 3 guys? They had bought some high end "toys" too. Wonder what happened to them...
Did COVID get them.😮@@northernerinnc3179

@@northernerinnc3179 I agree with you: three men lived in that house.
The paperwork said there was only 1 owner; and their only other relative lived in a different country. Why did the families of the other two, not want their belongings? oh, that is not a pleasant thought. eyeah.

I can't help but wonder what happened to the people that lived here. They were young people. How do you know they were young? Older people play games too...
Obviously older people play games but what they’re saying is it it wasn’t a 78-year-old man based off of the items around the house come on now it’s sad. You know this person was young.
@@tyeater14 - Ha! Talk about making assumptions! I have friends in their 70's that have the exact types of items hanging around their homes...
@@Snarkapotamus You are being totally unfair with Julie Jorgensen. Hey Alex,
That "club" you found in the closet I think is a gaffer hook. My Grandfather used to fish with them instead of using a fishing pole.
Hi Sam, you are close, it's a GAFF, used when landing a fish of big size !!!
I'm an only child and have the same fears.
Have friends lined up to do so. Also, start purging so your material life becomes more minimal.
Yes the person passed on and his only living relative was over seas and did not want to come back and deal with it so asked a law firm to take care of it.
Material possessions don't mean much when you're dead. The only thing of any real value is your soul.
A nice couch cover should hide any stains, the couch looked pretty solid.

You are a hard worker, Alex. I admire that you take good care of your family.
It does look like it needs welding though, unless you sell it to Illinois or some other place without mandatory inspections.
As my wife and I were watching this, she kept on saying how the person who lived here must have been my long lost twin. His house and belongings shockingly resemble my own before I was married up.

If your dropping off furisture and have a spare ladder it would be helpful if a smoke detector needs a battery replaced. when you have nothing and suddently realize you need pens and paper and screwdriver means a lot of little expenses that do add up.

@@makeuplover6852 why didn't the son want all the stuff?
@@seabreezeA1A He mentioned at the beginning of the video that the only family member is living in another country so that makes it quite a lot harder to deal with items. Good buy! A fantastic opportunity that turned in your favor pretty quickly! I'm happy for all the CI team! Thanks for the content...very enjoyable!
I know this is old, but it looks like a young man's stuff. Sad that a young man may have died.
There is a little plastic cap besides shifter you pop it off and you push that button underneath it and then you can get the key out
Looking at all the things left behind, you get the impression of a relatively young person.
Great find Alexander, it should pay for its self many times over!!! Excited to catch this series!!!
