How did you not blow out your sky and still film bright enough to get the noise level so low in your shadow? I get that you possibly used denoise too, but the balance in the image is very good.
Thank you! Yes, I did use a little bit of denoise. Since I shot this in RAW it was pretty easy to bring back the sky and adjust exposure in post. That way I didn't had a lot of noise.

Thank you! I never used the ZVE1 or the A7CII but I would recommend the FX30 over those because of the internal fan for longer recordings and the external raw recording.
Thank you! Actually, I shot that video at f1.8. The FX30 and Sigma 18-35 is incredibly sharp, on top of that If you shoot raw with Atomos Ninja V it gets even better!
Hey man your videos look stunning af. I was wondering, what are your exporting settings? I mean bitrate and so on. This looks sooooo deep quality. Maybe it has to do with the way the footage was capture?. I’d appreciate if u could explain a little. I’m using an a6600 and my videos look like trash. Once they are on youtube it doesn’t even look 4k. I’m starting to blame my camera.
Thank you! Quality depends on a lot of things actually. If I shoot Raw the Ninja V gives me 4.7K Raw video, if I don't shoot Raw the FX30 shoots 6K and compresses it to 4K video. These gives me way more sharper quality then recording regular 4K. But this doesn't mean that you have to have these to get great quality. In your next export try these settings; MP4 H264 Bitrate : 120.000 And when you color grade try to add a bit more grain, it helps to reduce the compression that RUclips makes and gives a slightly sharper result when uploaded to RUclips. Hope these can help you! If you have any more questions I would love to help you out.
Great Video!!! I've been watching videos on RUclips and people are saying its not worth it to shoot raw with the sony fx 30 because of the crop. Is this true?
Thank you! Yes, even though it has a crop while shooting Raw it is a pretty small crop. But, ProRes Raw is a lot sharper than other codecs, and 16-bit colors are amazing! For me, the only downside is that Ninja V lets you do Raw up to 30fps, if you want 60fps, you need Ninja V+ or Shogun Connect. Whenever I shoot 24fps I definitely use ProRes Raw.
How did you shoot ProRes Raw with ninja V? On the website fx30 ist not supported for ninja v and prores raw. Also does ProRes Raw have all advantages from raw? E.g. changing iso in post. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you for the compliment! I think you looked at the wrong chart, you can record ProRes Raw on FX30 for up to 30 frames, for 60fps ProRes Raw you need the Ninja V Plus or Shogun Connect.
