Super Hans the list probably takes into account the ease of access and exclusivity when picking this top ten. How many people travel in and out of NORAD each year? What's the background check process when VIPs visit? In "Wargames" (granted, that was 1984), the movie depicted tour groups roaming about the military base. But I agree, based on how much hardware NORAD is packing, it should be higher

The most heavily guarded location I've ever come across has to be my secret girlfriend's house. I mean for god sake will her Dad stop patrolling the hallways like an enemy pathway on a mediocre stealth game!
I have a crazy Area 51 story. so my history teacher in high school trained people in the Army for Desert combat and they were around the area of Area 51. so he would always tell his men don't go past those pylons in the desert if you passed them you no longer exist. Those pylons mark Area 51. he lost two men to this. they got up one day to train and one guy was missing declared AWOL and the next day when he looked at the roster his name was gone and when he asked about what happened to his name this guy "he never even enlisted in the Army he isn't a US citizen and doesn't even exist on the planet Earth anymore."
sure lets let everyone just walk into the nations federal reserve so they can take all the cash they want. Or let anyone from anywhere walk into the place the president lives. OH WAIT its better to let them walk into the nations military to look around on a nice sunday afternoon.
Pretty cool video, I do disagree with Area 51 though, as I've been there myself, and there is even a public highway that runs through the northern part of it. I think what makes it seem so guarded is a combination of it's sheer size and the secrets/myths that surround it.
In BSA, Boy Scouts, we got to go into the grounds of Fort Knox and camp in the ground. I guess you could say that we were pretty safe from bears while camping.
This was actually a great video. It's cool to see just how crazy security is in places. I am surprised that the Pentagon was only a mention though. Figured a top military base would be nearly number 1.
I think you should flip 1 & 2, not only does the Fort Knox have everything you stated but it also has Fort Knox, which is a US Military Fort where our mechanized cavalry is trained and who knows how many trained soldiers are based there.
My pick: my kitchen on Thanksgiving or during Christmas. Gotta taste them holiday foods and treats man, but the kitchen guardians are always watching and armed with spatulas.
I've been in the gold vault beneath the NY Fed. I got a unofficial tour when, looking for a job. I went to Maiden Lane to speak with a fellow Naval Academy grad who worked there as a lawyer. Pretty cool. It's a dingy warehouse /basement and each country has a cage (or maybe more than one, I dunno). The cages look primitive. Inside each cage are bars of gold stacked in pyramids. The gold bars are loose, you can pick them up off the pile. Very heavy --it's odd to pick up something about the size of a brick that weighs as much as a 25 lb plate you'd use in the gym. The ornate 'mess,' or dining facility where the Fed officers eat was also cool.
I’ve lived next to Fort Knox while it’s called that ITS NOT ON FORT KNOX it’s out side the main gate! I’ve lived there as a child I have memories of this place it’s out side Fort Knox!
I've been in Fort Knox before but not inside the building with the safe. It's not far from my house. You definitely can't walk up to the gate they will shoot you
avinash kumar they cannot because not all are in the USA. Since when is the Vatican in the US? How can an English place be in the US? Etc. That would make no sense
Jeez, I wonder which country will have the most heavily guarded places? Surely not the country that spends more budget on military and government business than the next 10 countries combined. Definitely not.
In the U.S of America* Most of the buildings featured in this list are from the U.S if it was in the world, Kremlin would have been here, Birmingham Palace too just to name a couple
Chernobyl is not one of the most protected places. Visited, all of the no-go zones are pretty laxly guarded. No one wants to get life-ending cancer for an adrenaline rush. Also Emry, they put a british parking lot over the Palace, so I'm not sure why you're talking about 'USA'
+Jack M - Our forest friends really bailed us out on Chernobyl. It was estimated that the area would be deadly for a thousand years. Brave(Unknowing) plants and animals have been rapidly dispersing the fallout however. A bit of wind and rain helps too.
Technically, Area 51 probably doesn't really deserve spot 1. The actual level of security is actually lower than some of the other entries. It just has a massive advantage of being located in a place which makes it easy to detect and stop untrained civilians from APPROACHING the facility.
my home, just because I'm so unimportant and live at the end of a dead end road. I'm constantly trying to be noisy enough to keep from being forgotten entirely.
While Fort Knox held the bulk of the Army's tank divisions now that the tanks have moved to Fort Benning Georgia Fort Knox is not as protected as it used to be.
Knox used to be the host of the US Army armor school. But that has now been mover to Fort Benning, Ga. Along with 12k+ personal, a few armor divisions, and 90k+ pices of equipment. The move literally castrated the base.
Hmmm... how to break into the car park in Derby and steal a car? How about nicking the persons keys AND barcode? Easy in, easy out, not nearly as secure as the nuclear bomb resistant air force station at number 10.
None of these securities would last against Micheal, franklin and Trevor.
Tyler Nathan they would
Only because they failed to mention Lester helping.

Well CJ from gta san andreas got in to area 69, based off of area 51 lmao

How can an atomic bomb proof air force station with 25 ton doors be number 10 yet a car park in England be number 9?

My guess for number 1 before watching
... Area 51
DING DING!
Naman Ø correct
Naman Ø same here
Why not? You are shot on sight if they see you
Naman Ø i thought it was gonna be Chernobyl
Who already knew it was Area 51 when seeing the title?
it isnt. A51 is open to public tours and has been for a little while now.
Ryan Dupont i thought it was gonna Chernobyl
Nope, it is not available for public tours. You are goofy.
Thank you Norway for protecting our seeds.

I love how my country the U.S. The home of the free has 5 of the most keep out places in the world.
sure lets let everyone just walk into the nations federal reserve so they can take all the cash they want. Or let anyone from anywhere walk into the place the president lives. OH WAIT its better to let them walk into the nations military to look around on a nice sunday afternoon.
this list is shit as fuck
BigNick66 We keep the five different ingredients you need to make freedom, in five separate locations.
Well you can get into the vault in Utah. It just takes some requirements
your logic is depressing
1 should've been a nun's knickers.
Will Lennox Awesome!! made my day! 😄
Area 51, or Homey Field is a subsection of Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Edwards Air Force Base is in Kern County, Cali.
Did that guy just refer to 9/11 as 9-1-1?
ZombieSlayer123four yes, yes he did
When it happened, I actually thought this is how people would refer to it years later, but everyone seemed to like "Eleven" better I guess.
#10 OMG it's Stargate! I would recognize that entrance everywhere. God that was a great show xD
Breaking into fort knox stealing our intention
HANGARS SITTING DROPPED IN LUBE
Crying freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedum
SOAD
So ur saying a car park with bar codes is better defended than norad?
Michael Newell 😂
Thank you for the list.
Being from Nevada, I hate how some people say it wrong -_-
Neh-vah-duh, right?
Stupid The Hedgehog its close
Crud. So how's it pronounced?
Stupid The Hedgehog actually wait. You are right. That's how you say it. Took a few readings
Sweet.
Love all the archer clips
u are the best RUclipsr ever :) keep it up
Pretty cool video, I do disagree with Area 51 though, as I've been there myself, and there is even a public highway that runs through the northern part of it. I think what makes it seem so guarded is a combination of it's sheer size and the secrets/myths that surround it.
At it again with the archer clips.... I like
what happened to the coca cola secret recipe
No, the Krabby Patty formula
Its a thing, not a place, though it is in a well-guarded place.
Great!! This video just gave the fast and furious franchise 10 more ideas.
When the "Cheyenne Mountain Complex" was mentioned, was i the only one thinking of the "Stargate" series ?
#1 the safe in the krusty krab
*Wait why is the bikini bottom police and spongebob at my door*
The Granite Mountain Records Vault is soo cool.
what is the music in the background called?
Area 51 was pretty obvious.
Chriso Chiasson and Fort Knox
the office of engraving and printing is very secure too
I don't know so much about this, but I feel place #10 should be place #1 really.
In BSA, Boy Scouts, we got to go into the grounds of Fort Knox and camp in the ground. I guess you could say that we were pretty safe from bears while camping.
as movies have taught us these places are a piece of cake to break into
This was actually a great video. It's cool to see just how crazy security is in places. I am surprised that the Pentagon was only a mention though. Figured a top military base would be nearly number 1.
cheyenne mountain complex only on number 10?
Come on! they have StarGate Command base in there!
my thought too:)
EXACTLY!! It takes 12+ years just to get verified to go in
My first thought too
We may be fat lazy and stupid, but we americans have some damn good strongholds
Or we just know how greedy the general populace is, and therefore know how protected important things need to be.
all to protect the crooked politicians ^__-
Where you talking about us watching? Or you country, because I am Canadian
I think you should flip 1 & 2, not only does the Fort Knox have everything you stated but it also has Fort Knox, which is a US Military Fort where our mechanized cavalry is trained and who knows how many trained soldiers are based there.
good list one of your best but #10 in my opinion is higher
So your telling me a nuke silo is not heavily guarded
What if Area 51 is actually a cover-up for another base?
My pick: my kitchen on Thanksgiving or during Christmas. Gotta taste them holiday foods and treats man, but the kitchen guardians are always watching and armed with spatulas.
I bet my life that in the Area 51 lies the holy grail of alien tecnology
its a JPL thats been open to public tours for a while now actually.
The USA once a wall is built
Jesus Fuller that's not ever happening lol you guys are so stupid
na g It's happening.
Look who’s talking now damn commies
They ain't building it
#1: the Krabby Patty Formula!

I can't remember the last Watchmojo video that was this interesting.
do top 10 heavily guarded prisons
Bruh u have an ad before your video u dont need another ad once the video starts
Not too mention Cheyenne Mountain houses the Stargate program...
I am surprised that Buckingham Palace didn't make the cut.
I’ve lived next to Fort Knox while it’s called that ITS NOT ON FORT KNOX it’s out side the main gate! I’ve lived there as a child I have memories of this place it’s out side Fort Knox!
Isn't this one already featured?
Have a nice day everyone!
After watching this video, I realize that books, seeds, gold bars, aliens... are protected way better than most humans on Earth =))
This video would have been so much better if they didn't base each one on a movie
I've been in Fort Knox before but not inside the building with the safe. It's not far from my house. You definitely can't walk up to the gate they will shoot you
♪I will trap Santa in my box, lock him up like Fort Knox, and make him stop the clocks!♪
Oooh, a cookie!
just change title and write top 10 heavily guarded places in the USA
avinash kumar they cannot because not all are in the USA. Since when is the Vatican in the US? How can an English place be in the US? Etc. That would make no sense
Jeez, I wonder which country will have the most heavily guarded places? Surely not the country that spends more budget on military and government business than the next 10 countries combined. Definitely not.
The Vatican archives are in the us? When did they move them?
Nessevi What’s wrong with heavily guarding something important? People always have to find something about the US to complain about.
u should do this vid again but in historical places
polonose 00 No, they should delete the channel.
That moment when they forget to mention that the Stargate is located in Cheyenne Mountain Complex.
In regards to Fort Knox it was a bummer when the moved the bulk of the George S. Patton museum down to Georgia.
In the U.S of America* Most of the buildings featured in this list are from the U.S if it was in the world, Kremlin would have been here, Birmingham Palace too just to name a couple
Emry Albert and Chernobyl
Ya I was thinking of that too. I'm sure China has some super secret /secure places too
Emry Albert You mean Buckingham Palace?
Chernobyl is not one of the most protected places. Visited, all of the no-go zones are pretty laxly guarded. No one wants to get life-ending cancer for an adrenaline rush.
Also Emry, they put a british parking lot over the Palace, so I'm not sure why you're talking about 'USA'
+Jack M - Our forest friends really bailed us out on Chernobyl. It was estimated that the area would be deadly for a thousand years. Brave(Unknowing) plants and animals have been rapidly dispersing the fallout however. A bit of wind and rain helps too.
cheyenne mountain is also the setting of stargate sg-1
I totally just thought of the SGC on the first one. Of course it's secure ;)
blueray15 XD
I once got yelled at by a tour guide while getting a tour in the federal reserve in NYC for nearly wandering into an off-limits area to the public
Okay this is run by ads and what if the app is not here for a few years later what now?
And the Stargate in Cheyenne Mountain complex.
johntauren yep. When I saw that mountain I immediately thought of stargate
Buckingham palace?? the royal guards are some of the best trained soldiers in the world
Anyone read Icecore? Yknow, the book where a 17yr old Brit hacked into Fort Knox? Good read
whats the name of the show that they show in this video
Nellis AFB is in Nevada. Edwards AFB is in California.
8:19 I knew it
fort knox also has abrams tanks guarding it
I think we can do not know the heavily guarded places in the world because they protected fine.
Independence day... Was such a good movie, until I watched resurgence I thought it was going to be a good sequel.
Even before I clicked to watch the video I knew what number 1 would be.
Technically, Area 51 probably doesn't really deserve spot 1. The actual level of security is actually lower than some of the other entries. It just has a massive advantage of being located in a place which makes it easy to detect and stop untrained civilians from APPROACHING the facility.
Ft. Knox also has a U.S Army post next door
do top ten heavily guarded volts
my home, just because I'm so unimportant and live at the end of a dead end road. I'm constantly trying to be noisy enough to keep from being forgotten entirely.
I Am inclined to believe that a Ballistic Missile Submarine underway and at depth would be very, very secure.
AREA 51 IS THE SIZE OF CONNECTICUT... THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE
what is the music used in this video?
I've heard that the Vatican Archives also holds the so-called "Grand Grimoire."
Whats the background music plz
Why no mention of the Stargate program under Cheyenne mountain?! ;)
While Fort Knox held the bulk of the Army's tank divisions now that the tanks have moved to Fort Benning Georgia Fort Knox is not as protected as it used to be.
The escapists
So there's a nuclear bunker. And then a car park....
They mentioned the armed guards around Fort Knox, but doesn't Knox have its own dedicated infantry and armor divisions or something?
Knox used to be the host of the US Army armor school. But that has now been mover to Fort Benning, Ga. Along with 12k+ personal, a few armor divisions, and 90k+ pices of equipment. The move literally castrated the base.
Hmmm... how to break into the car park in Derby and steal a car? How about nicking the persons keys AND barcode? Easy in, easy out, not nearly as secure as the nuclear bomb resistant air force station at number 10.
Wasn't the Svalbard vault in Futurama in that one episode where they get a mutated pine tree seed? Probably...
I live on fort Knox to awesome
Julian Shipp i live near it good ole kentucky
