I watched this video when it was uploaded and come back to it every few years. I always wonder what happened to them all, some might be dead and others might be living their dreams. It makes me think about how time passes and there's nothing you can do about it. It feels like yesterday when I was watching this for the first time in 2009, and now it's 13 years on.
Even years later I find myself thinking about the people in this video - particularly the woman at 3:44. I wonder if she ever found a place to call home.
I found and looked through a really old hard drive I had in a box and hooked it up to my computer. I found my Opera browser favorites file that I backed up. I saw the link to fiftypeopleonequestion dot com and it brought me to this video. I specifically remembered that woman at 3:44 before the video even started playing as well as the guy at 5:08 wondering if he's found a little bit more paradise. He had the best answer imo :)
You know, I think we should all go around and ask other people these questions. You get the sense that they're thankful for being asked. We could make the world a more beautiful place, all of us together.
I find it nice how in a dark alleyway in Central London on a cool day, you ask questions, and you can see in thier eyes the hope they have. It makes me wonder where and how they are now.
I like seeing the flush of unshackled thought that flashes across their faces that takes them to a place they would want to be. It's like they've been given an unexpected gift.
'probably to my own bed but not necessarily alone' - its been a decade since I watch this and I still remember this answer, I pray to God that in His perfect time, He will lead me to my husband, a Godly man, the one He chose for me, In Jesus Name i pray Amen
@KamilFilms I saw that one, and it is the one that has inspired me the most to write about it, and to live writing. You did and amazing and beautiful job KamilFilms.
Here are some that will be remembered till the end of times.Annelise Marie Frank, Alexander the great,Julius Caesar,Geroge Washington,Abraham Lincoln,Thomas Eddison,Jón Sigurðsson,Horatio Nelson,Marie Currie,Elizabeth I,Claus von Stauffenberg,Merevik,Achilles,Hector of Troy,Albert Einstein,Richelliu,Dalai Lama, Raoul Wallenberg,Socrates,Plato,Nelson Mandela,Bach,Mozart,Beethoven, Homer,Mark Twain,Michelangelo,Rembrandt,Charlie Chaplin,Charles Darwin,Isaac Newton,Leonardo da Vinci and many more.
I do see where you're coming from. I do admire his passion. That said, I dare say that a century from now, people will look back on this century as a time of glory, honour, courage and excitement. We tend to look backwards and forwards with rose-tinted glasses, while we focus on the flaws and negatives of the present.
I like the answer of the man at 5:10 most because it is most unexpected for me and there is this spark in his eyes that you can tell he is imagining the place and that he likes what he sees in his head.
Love this video and Ive got to say that the girl who first appears at 1:40 in the video is possibly the prettiest woman I've ever seen such a natural beauty.
when i saw this video i observed the people's reactions they had like a subtle feeling in their eyes i guess they are happy that a completely strange human being cares for them. "A surge of love, an urge to help mankind overcomes her"
I'd like to wake up 12 years ago when I was 18 but with the knowledge, experience and memories I have now. I'm in a good place now but just think of what you could have done.
This video is awesome! I'd love to have a go at making something like this :) Also the pink bubble above the clouds filled ping pong balls man is are the best!!!!
Where would you want to wake up? Right here, as somone can go in almost any place he sets his mind too and it’s more fun to enjoy the journey not just the destination!
I, personally, would want to wake up….far away. Somewhere sunny. Maybe some distant planet, a far off star, surrounded by the quiet, and unfamiliar stars, with the whole Universe in my grasp. Maybe somewhere by the ocean. Somewhere peaceful and calm and eternal.
@AkynAkshay The song that everyone is looking for, the one that mixes up the violin and the piano, it's "Célébration à une Nouvelle Vie", by Chaz Knapp... And it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...
my favorite comment was the man who said Paradise. that is what i would have said. the kind of Paradise were lions lay down with lambs, beautiful flowers, beautiful fields, everyone happy....where if you want to see God or Jesus Christ you know where to find them. thank you for such a thought provoking movie. i think we all want the same thing. to love and be loved.
Love it! Please find time to come to me in Orange County, California. I promise you'll get very interesting answers from the people here. Definetly let me know if youll be coming here anytime soon :]
I would want to wake up .. Anywhere warm and happy, I love happy, I love warm but, I was diagnosed with insomnia in 2002 .. So this is a really tough question for me to answer .. I guess, for me it would be "if " I could fall asleep tonight .. And my answer would simply be ,, Heaven. =)
If i knew a way to live through it, i would wake up in the most beautiful place in the universe. Whether it be on an unknown exotic planet, a dynamic formation in the subatomic universe, or in the imagination of the most colorful artist...that would be wild. Don't think i could stay though. Family ties are just too strong.
@nikkijaneallison this series is amazing, makes me think of the world in a whole differnt way, i keep them in a playlist and everytime i feel down i watch them
I like these videos, thinking what would be my answer, watching listening those other people giving their honest answer. But this time my own answer depressed me. When they ask this question and your answer is something impossible to gain, it makes you sad. But there're just these few answers that aren't hard to reach but knowing that's what you want, still depresses you, y'know? A lot of people, or rather everyone, probably understands that at such a moment you'd wish you could say"my own bed"
After our firs Multiple Award Winning attempt on Fifty People One Question - we decided to do it one more time!! Visit out channel to check it out or watch it here: ruclips.net/video/YWbYuZW8L48/видео.html
I'm thinking of entering a film festival with an idea similar to this one; are there any special legal forms you need to have people sign for them to appear in the video?
Thank you! We're mapping out future locations now! Who knows...maybe Houston is not too far off. In the meantime, stay tuned for the next project from Mexico City! Thanks for the compliments!
The comment about going back in time to fifteen years ago to fix his first mistake absolutely killed me. Sometimes I wish I can do that. And then sometimes I know that I wouldn't be here if I could.

Same now in 2023 - it's probably my most favourite thing on the entire internet!
It makes me realize that these simple questions that we never ever think about can say so much about ourselves...it's very nice!
Beautiful. Can't believe I've gone without seeing this video for so long.
Watch it again
"where would you like to wake up?"
"Alive"
- that response gave me the chills
Even years later I find myself thinking about the people in this video - particularly the woman at 3:44. I wonder if she ever found a place to call home.
Me too. Thank you. :)

I wish I could get this lovely background music... The violin pierced right through to my heart....
You know, I think we should all go around and ask other people these questions. You get the sense that they're thankful for being asked. We could make the world a more beautiful place, all of us together.

I was about to say make the same comment. So serene, and her answer sounds so warm! Love it.
This is gorgeous. I love the amount of people happy to stay where they are.
these question i ask my self quite often ,, thank you. i know now im not alone and that others feel the same. you should come to millard, Nebraska!
I like seeing the flush of unshackled thought that flashes across their faces that takes them to a place they would want to be. It's like they've been given an unexpected gift.

I think I'm in love with every single person who appears in this video... Seriously.
@KamilFilms I saw that one, and it is the one that has inspired me the most to write about it, and to live writing. You did and amazing and beautiful job KamilFilms.
i cannot stop watching this
On my wedding day 25 years ago so I could relive all the good days and fix all the bad ones....
Here are some that will be remembered till the end of times.Annelise Marie Frank, Alexander the great,Julius Caesar,Geroge Washington,Abraham Lincoln,Thomas Eddison,Jón Sigurðsson,Horatio Nelson,Marie Currie,Elizabeth I,Claus von Stauffenberg,Merevik,Achilles,Hector of Troy,Albert Einstein,Richelliu,Dalai Lama, Raoul Wallenberg,Socrates,Plato,Nelson Mandela,Bach,Mozart,Beethoven, Homer,Mark Twain,Michelangelo,Rembrandt,Charlie Chaplin,Charles Darwin,Isaac Newton,Leonardo da Vinci and many more.
The man at the beginning of the video, his response hit me the hardest. He has someone, that everyday, he wants to wake up next to...
I do see where you're coming from. I do admire his passion.
That said, I dare say that a century from now, people will look back on this century as a time of glory, honour, courage and excitement. We tend to look backwards and forwards with rose-tinted glasses, while we focus on the flaws and negatives of the present.
If he was still single I would marry the first guy
+79milkandhoney That's my boyfriend! ^_^
@@ZomgieBec is he still your boyfriend?
I like the answer of the man at 5:10 most because it is most unexpected for me and there is this spark in his eyes that you can tell he is imagining the place and that he likes what he sees in his head.
lots of happy !
everyone in my city would start to dream on about money, fortune and paradise!
Love this video and Ive got to say that the girl who first appears at 1:40 in the video is possibly the prettiest woman I've ever seen such a natural beauty.
i'd wake up to my last day and have heart to heart talks with my loved ones so that there would be no regrets in their lives.
Gotta love you tube - this is proof of film making ability, talent and a wonderful subject.
when i saw this video i observed the people's reactions
they had like a subtle feeling in their eyes
i guess they are happy that a completely strange human being cares for them.

Damn, I want to wake up in the place where I'll feel belonged and needed. I guess everybody just looks forward waking up where they feel happy.
I want to wake up anywhere but here and know things are going to be alright, and then maybe I'll come back someday to fix 'here' up.

Where would you want to wake up?
Right here, as somone can go in almost any place he sets his mind too and it’s more fun to enjoy the journey not just the destination!
I'd like to wake up on top of a high mountain. I've always wondered how it felt to be higher than the clouds yet still keeping my feet on the ground.
I, personally, would want to wake up….far away. Somewhere sunny. Maybe some distant planet, a far off star, surrounded by the quiet, and unfamiliar stars, with the whole Universe in my grasp. Maybe somewhere by the ocean. Somewhere peaceful and calm and eternal.
why is the music so loud in the background? not everyone speaks english as a first language! it is hard to understand everything with this music :/

@BARNLINGO
Dunno, but I think it looks like it's somewhere at southbank.
I love the pink bubbles guy.
i like it how the violin played by the man on the street mixes with the piano. was that done on purpose?
The comment about going back in time to fifteen years ago to fix his first mistake absolutely killed me.
Sometimes I wish I can do that.
And then sometimes I know that I wouldn't be here if I could.
the second song is Do Make Say Think - Chinatown
It is on the album, '& Yet & Yet'. A wonderful, beautiful record.
Indeed, amazing one
Sometimes I wonder why birds always stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere in the world, then I ask myself the same question.
