3:29 "I'm a lot better before you really know me" Was like daggers in my heart... I feel the exact. same. fucking. way. I was just never able to put it to words...
The look on his face... gets me every time. They just seem like best friends that grew up together on the same block. I hope they’re still together and happy!
3:30 "I'm a lot better before you really know me." This made me cry, because it's my fear that I am the same way and I can't believe I'm the only one. And her face just expresses every feeling I have when a friendship dies.
I first watched this video 15 years ago, when I was young and optimistic. I've returned to it several times in the years since and I yearn now more than ever for that time when the world seemed good, compassionate, hopeful. This 6 minute film continues to be beautiful, in a world that is now less so.
"I believe death is a beautiful thing. A beautiful part of life." love that part! It's amazing how you can open up with total strangers but seem to keep secrets from the people around you.
The best thing about the last decade has been the birth and life of PostSecret. Thank you Frank. This project is going to be remembered for a very long time.
Wow. This was beautiful. Hearing other people that you just see on the street tell you their inner most secrets reminds you that we ALL have secrets...it just makes you feel more connected to humanity.
I love how much you can see the vulnerability in these people. For those couple seconds, they were exposed. Something about that is so beautiful to me.
the couple at 3:30 is absolutely amazing i must have replayed that part like 30 times like i just cant get over how real it is and how you can seriously see their emotions this short film is absolutly beautiful spectacular job
I'm looking at each face, listening to each of their short speech that gives only a glimpse into their life, and I wish I knew every single one of them personally.
This is so beautiful, seeing those people, being happy, ashamed, sad and upset about the fact that they just told their secret. I think the couple with the lovepoems and the run-over cat is really nice. Secrets make me aware of the fact that everyone is alone in them. Within ourselves, we are lonel creatures. Thanks for this video.
People are so bold and honest on paper....I didn't expect them to be the same in video. This was AMAZING and has made me think...what secrets am I willing to share with complete strangers?
That was utterly beautiful :) I wish things like this could happen all over the world, all the time. If it was like that, we would be living in a much better place.
I loved this video so much. My favorite "secret" would be the woman who had her best friend die of cancer and in his final days he asked for her. That's incredibly sweet.
The part where the girl musters up the courage to tell the guy that her secret books are love poems she wrote about him.. watch his face.. it's so slight, but he gets the most amazing and genuinely happy, maybe relieved smile. That moment made me cry instantly..
I was so touched... I'm in tears now wondering, what secrets do I have? And would I be willing to share them? Would it inspire anybody? What would I gain from telling the world? Hmmm... maybe my heart would be a little lighter, eh?
Gosh Frank. Please, don't ever stop what you're doing. So many people at my school know about you, and we all believe that these secrets are the beauty of the world, be they meaningful, or trivial. This postsecret project is really such a powerful thing: it has changed my point of view and my life, and I wish to one day meet you, and to one day have the courage to share my own secrets with the world, or even just you.
The way this is filmed. It makes everything looks bright and colorful and beautiful. Or maybe that's just how life is...In any case, the not being able to fly, the superhero one, and the death one really got me.
I used to come back to this video every couple of weeks. But this, right now, was my first watch in over a year. And let me just say, with the benefit of hindsight, the kid at 4:21 changed my entire outlook on life. "I believe death is a beautiful thing, a beautiful part of life." Rather unexpectedly, I now find myself agreeing with that statement 100%. And I sometimes use that sentence now in conversation. That exact sentence, in that exact manner. So thanks, kid, wherever you are.
This video and the whole concept of postsecret as a whole just shows me that underneath it all there is still beauty in the world and in people. Now, when I meet new people, I ask them to share a secret with me, and in exchange I'll tell them one of mine.
"I don't like birds.. I don't know, I guess because they can fly and I can't." -More profound than you know, little man. The video is beautiful. Kudos to the PostSecret Community.
Great character study of humans as a species- this is why I love PostSecret, because we can learn things about ourselves through other people's courage and their secrets.
this video also changed my morning! it made me cry, good tears. i showed my mom the postsecret site once, and she didn't get it, she thought i was stupid. but i think she has some secrets and she will never share them. these people are/were brave and i want to do the same.
That girl that says she's alot better before you get to know her makes me really sad.. I just wanna hug her right now. And the love poem thingy? that's so sweet
The guy who whispered "my secret i slept with a man" and then shot his head up to reveal a devious, heartwarming smile, made my heart warm and fuzzy. i love people like that.
I still find myself coming back here. I want to do this where I live. I think we should do this everywhere. This showed me vulnerability before I had a word for it.
the guy that likes to pretend he is an agent is so....and the girl who said she is beter before you know her and then the love poem one...and the last one with the void in her heart...i cant get over how touching this video is and how beautiful and sad this is.
Wow...I truly seek to live an authentic life and help others to do the same, yet realise how hard it is for each of us to get over what secrets we keep. Id love to help others to live more authentically and see them being their real selves!
beautiful. just plain, simple beauty. my favourite part was the,"you know all those books I have that I don't let you read? It's just all these love poems that are about you." (:
oh my i hope that was like real random people that you just went up to and asked. because if so that was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen in my life. i hope that someday someone would just randomly come up to me and do the same.
Wow what an amazing video. That last one really got to me, the one were the girl said that she acted like an idiot because she had a void in her heart.
This is an absolutely astonishingly beautiful video. I love the couple's confessions to one another, the girl at 3:00 , the girl at the very end- all of it. Thank you for making this.
This is lovely and very well shot. I enjoyed watching it. The whole idea of sharing secrets is very interesting. Especially the things that people are ashamed or do not want the others to know.
While I was watching this I just kept thinking, how naturally beautiful people are.
I wish I could like this more than once :)
It's been close to a decade and this video is still unforgettable to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This started so much.
"I ran over your cat."
"I write love poems about you."
LOL
3:29 "I'm a lot better before you really know me"
Was like daggers in my heart... I feel the exact. same. fucking. way. I was just never able to put it to words...
heart breaking but some of us feel this way
i’m sure that’s not trur
This one got me too
3:59
"You know all those books I don't let you read?"
"Yeah."
"It's just all these love poems that are about you"
That was amazing.
The look on his face... gets me every time. They just seem like best friends that grew up together on the same block. I hope they’re still together and happy!
"I act like an idiot cause - I don't know - I have a void in my heart" and then she laughs as if she's about to cry. my heart literally broke open
mine, as well.
I come back to this video every now and then just to help with hard situations. I'm not sure why but just watching this makes me feel much better.
Finally found this after remembering watching it when I was in high school 😭
3:30 "I'm a lot better before you really know me."
This made me cry, because it's my fear that I am the same way and I can't believe I'm the only one. And her face just expresses every feeling I have when a friendship dies.
"I hate when they fly and I can't fly"
Truly touching... thank you Frank.

All of those people are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
amen.
that almost made me cry too. especially the look on her face after she said it.
It's always amazing to think of all the little secrets and stories each person has rattling on inside their head
that was so beautiful. and the couple's confessions to each other was my favorite. especially hers. wow.
the couple at 3:30 is absolutely amazing
i must have replayed that part like 30 times like i just cant get over how real it is and how you can seriously see their emotions

spectacular job

the love poems one was sooo nice, just the looks on both of their faces... wonderful
i absolutely adore postsecret. it's so private, yet it's so open.
People are so bold and honest on paper....I didn't expect them to be the same in video. This was AMAZING and has made me think...what secrets am I willing to share with complete strangers?
That was utterly beautiful :)
I wish things like this could happen all over the world, all the time. If it was like that, we would be living in a much better place.
"I believe death is a beautiful thing, beautiful part of life." Very in depth
I love this video and watch it over and over, even if it makes me cry each time.
I loved this video so much. My favorite "secret" would be the woman who had her best friend die of cancer and in his final days he asked for her. That's incredibly sweet.
this is absurdly beautiful. I cry every time I watch.
I applaud these people for being so brave. Revealing things about yourself is never as easy as you think. :)

"because i have a void in my heart" - that laugh/cry at the end just tears me up, but in a good way. what a great video.
They are all so beautiful.
This is what we need in order to remember that we are all humans and we're not alone. We all have emotions, we all have secrets.....
Revisted after a while, still just as wholesome. I wish this was longer 👍
3:56 I don't even have words! Her love for this guy is just.. amazing simply amazing
'It's just all these love poems that are about you'. Lie down, try not to cry, cry a lot.
"you know all those books i have that i don't let you read? its just all these love poems that are about you"
this made me cry, i cant even.. >.

Shared this. wonderful idea and heart opening gesture where truth is so courageous when told from self trust.

Some of these were awkward but others were so personal. It's interesting to see they'd open up to total strangers.
