Fifty People, One Question is a simple project with surprising results. We go to a place, ask fifty people the same question and film their responses.
The project started in New Orleans, LA and received such a warm response that we decided to do it again in New York City. Now we're traveling to more cities and asking new questions. Always just trying to capture a little slice of humanity. Whatever happens happens.

When we set out to film, it was another New Orleans day. Once you get past the inevitable grime and heat, you feel a certain energy or atmosphere. Like a kid throwing himself into a mud fight. I watched this when it first came out, haven't viewed it since. It randomly came up in my mind today. These people have lived a lifetime since I last saw them. I wonder how they are doing. I hope well.

I watched this video when it was uploaded and come back to it every few years. I always wonder what happened to them all, some might be dead and others might be living their dreams. It makes me think about how time passes and there's nothing you can do about it. It feels like yesterday when I was watching this for the first time in 2009, and now it's 13 years on.
Same now in 2023 - it's probably my most favourite thing on the entire internet!

Wow the amount of people asking for peace or intelligence and knowledge compared to just something like a trip to London is quite beautiful. It's probably because you went to the poorer parts of India compared to the cities compared to when you went to when you asked questions in the west where you went to the more affluent areas of the countries.
