One of the rare movies that after a few minutes you knew you were in for an adventure. A timeless masterpiece.
This movie was a game changer for me. If you love rock and roll and the culture, you will be hooked. Most influential movies for me growing up were this one, pump up the volume, mallrats, clerks, and heathers, high fidelity, and almost famous is in the top slot.
Both this movie and Empire Records are amazing movies

High Fidelity the movie for vinyl nerds.
This movie produces a warm feeling that cannot be described by words. The only other movie that produces a definite mood is lost in translation but it's more somber.
Both of those are good but there are a ton of movies with feels...requiem for a dream fear and loathing etc
How about the movie Dazed and Confused? Another classic? I think so!
Lost in translation is my favorite film ever, I believe it to be the best movie ever made, I'm glad you like it too.
When i think of a "directors' passion project" i think of this movie. Cameron wrote what he knew, and so it was honest and real. Christ alive, i love this movie.
Still to this day one of my favourite movies ever. The trailer really doesn't do it justice, go and watch this movie!
Very beautiful. Very authentic for early 1970s rock and roll. Also, surprisingly moral - like a Frank Capra movie. God bless everyone associated with this beautiful film.

the ending in this movie is easily top 5 of all time and I say that because the way it makes you feel....im not going to spoil it for those on here that haven't seen it yet but those that have, know exactly what I'm talking about...that feeling for me mimicked the feeling i got from my first love and It was insane that a movie could do that. my top 3 favorite movies ever.
The part where they're on the plane & it's shaking and how each just blurts out their secrets is real funny 😂😂

I saw this movie in 2009 in 8th grade. It was such a great movie! I loved how his mom gave him a year to go on the road and live his life cause she lied about his age
Such a great, great film. Be prepared for your emotions to run the gamut as it is alternately hilarious and powerfully moving, particularly for those who came of age in the late 60's and 70's. Cameron Crowe uncannily captures the feel of that era, as did Dazed and Confused.
You cant just make a trailer for this movie, because its is just too awesome

Dude, what are you talking about? This movie was huge when it was released. HUGE! It was the biggest and most successful indie film in years, nominated for multiple Oscars and winning best screenplay.
Literally everybody was talking about in. When you saw a friend for the first time after it came out one of the first questions you were asked if you'd seen it yet, if you loved it, what your favorite scene was, etc.

A cool scene from this movie is where you see he's using a Sears tape recorder to interview the musicians. I had a General Electric tape recorder in those days. Worked great. Cheers!

1:00 the original Golden God
I used to be a rock writer and I I worked with a writer from Creem who was best friends with Lester Bangs. The Golden God thing was based on Robert Plant yelling out "I am the prince of peace!" -- I think he was on a balcony at the Riot House, but I'm not positive. These were the best days of rock. It was a magical time.

Good flick,a lot of inaccuracies tho. One being that 11 yr old Will couldn't possibly have listened to the Tommy album when it wasn't released til '75 🤦🏻♀️

Yes, but appropriate. He was only 15, both in the movie and real life. In real life Kate Hudson was 20-21 and looked it. That would be a bit.....off, for a hot blonde 20-21 year old to be formally dating a 15 year old high school kid....after being with a bunch of adult rocker men. O.o

I was there…but in the U.K. This reminds me of the music and travelling on buses with a band I won’t mention. More or less the same story! Nostalgia! And look at me now! Just enjoy life while you’re young!
