I mean the critics hate this movie but this is one of the best feel good movies out there. My father passed away at the same time when this movie was around back in 2006. It really helped me deal with the sadness a lot
My Dad loved this movie 💛 I lost him to suicide in 2010 but this movie always makes me feel like I’m getting a warm hug from him.
I watch this movie regularly, its subtle and beautifully made. About relationships with family, yourself, and someone who gives you the butterflies in your stomach. Also a roadtrip doesnt hurt, super cute! Highly recommend it!
Thank you for enjoying it
@@nelsonarellano6648 thank you so much. It means a lot to us

This movie was the reason why my first out of country trip was to the American South.
I don't consider kentucky the South.
@@MeadeFatLossIn the middle
@@decdons292 I mean, I'm from Virginia and I think we are more Southern. Kentucky borders on the Yankee state of Ohio , wasn't even in the Confederacy. I live in Richmond, Virginia , which is South of Lexington and Louisville, but I'm told Kentucky is "The South" and we are "Mid Atlantic". Nope.
This movie is seriously underrated!

I just discovered this movie today.
Found at a thrift store.
A movie I almost passed by.
A LIFE CHANGING MOVIE.
Quite possibly one of the best experiences Ever.

I love this movie. I met a guy who reminds me of this guy. Our love story almost paralleled to this movie. Somehow, we drifted apart. But falling in love with him was one of the best feeling I ever had.
Is it really good that your love story paralleled this one's? She's a total Manic Pixie Dream Girl created only to try to "fix" his emotional immaturity and he pushes her away whilst using her because he's a trainwreck
@@Lilagrace326 I said almost. I am of course not a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. I am more complex than that. And I don't regret the fact that there was a time I had to "fix" him. Some people need fixing sometimes and need people to support us, and it doesn't mean he's immature or weak or that I'm manic like her. We're just human. This is a movie. Ours is real life, intertwined by the complexities of our emotions and past. I met him in his worst, but I saved him and he saved me in the process. It's not ideal of course but we supported each other to be at our best. We sadly had to part, but we have each other a gift, and that is hope.
And is it good that I think it's paralleled to our story? It's not good nor bad, it just is.
@@chrisninamartinez3851 So beautifully said. Last comment I will read for 2020. Cheers for the New Year!

Orlando looks soo innocent in here.
Young Orlando looked innocent in all of his movies. Maybe he just really was that innocent)
he was....
That was the time when I had a huuuge crush on him for years 😅
For some reason, I watch this movie once a year...because for some reason it reminds me of my dad.
My Dad loved this movie 💛 I lost him to suicide in 2010 but this movie always makes me feel like I’m getting a warm hug from him.
Yep. There's the whole movie! Right there! Right there! Good going.
Yeah. I've only seen the last 20% of the film and it is!
You trailer makers gotta figure out how. to. do. your. job. before the empty theaters right now start staying empty.
Thankyou Honest Abe! I'm laughing because it's true, and no.. what you said was true. Should I have been expecting it not to be true??
It needed the Lynard Skynard firebird buildup
Love this movie and cast.
One of the best movies.
This is a very American character for Orlando Bloom !
My mom passed last year. I thought this movie was boring, but after my mom passed I believe this movie means a lot for me.
Try to do the same. Get on a roadtrip you with what was most important for your mom, maybe a picture or some object and return and tell your story here
My Dad loved this movie 💛 I lost him to suicide in 2010 but this movie always makes me feel like I’m getting a warm hug from him.
Loved the movie. Love Kirsten Dunst. She went through depression herself.
The thing about this movie is that they painted it as a comedy, but it’s really not. It’s highly emotional with a little spurt of humor.
That being said, it’s a great movie.
This was a refreshing and watchable movie, very sweet, believable and the soundtrack was good. I don't get the hate. I also forgot Jessica biel was in it
What's believable about this? Do women like this even exist? Do conversations like this exist? This is a fantasy movie. Beautiful, but a fantasy.
@@stauffapmaybe not in this modern era we're all in.
I love this film. The song 'my fathers gun' is amazing
This movie might be cheesy as hell and had the most unrealistic plot but it was with me when my grandma who was like my mom died and it helped me a lot in my grieving process. Just as with Big Fish
This is my favorite hair on Orlando 🥰 I mean besides when he went blonde 😏
is it just me or has it been a hot minutes since i've seen orlando bloom?
Amo esa pelicula!!!! La descubri de casualidad en el cable hace algunos años y ayer la busqué en Pluto TV para volver a verla.
The best soundtrack!!
Still trying to find the correct line. It was Drew describing his relation with Ellen to Claire with something like "It was a bit of a wait and see. Then I waited. Then I saw."
He doesn’t have a job but fly First Class
yeah like whaaaaat xDDDD
He's Legolas!😁
On the flight to Kentucky, Drew meets Claire, an optimistic and kind flight attendant who gives him a seat in first class, due to the plane being empty.
Muhammad Athallah Arsyaf yeah man. Maybe watch th he movie. It explains why he’s in first class
He is captain of flying Dutchman ;)
Awesome soundtrack!
love Kentucky.
I feel like I just watched the entire movie but anYWAY, it looks good, I'll watch the rest of it when I get the chance
this is the peak of kirsten dunst appearance
why did my parents show this to me when i was 6 years old??? i’ve had the image of a elliptical suicide machine stuck in my brain for my whole life..

Kirsten dunst was so cute😍
Wtf she's not dead so don't say that. She's still cute!!!
Best movie i ve seen
I love cameron crowe movies
0:18 that scene is not on the dvd
i didn't know this was considered a bad movie ha. I LOVED this movie as a teen.
The theory that Clair is an angel, other than being too good and mysterious, i notice she only appears talking to Drew and cindy geng. do anyone notice that?
Am i the only person who loves this movie. I make my lartner suffer through it just for me. The music too, omg
I met Kristen 15 years ago at 2am on the Wheel of London
若い人達が見るのだろうなあ、と思いながら見たが、キャストも良いし、結構洒落た映画で、DVDも買い、オーランド=ブルームとキルステイン=ダンストの嫌みのない演技を楽しんでいる。

I live in Elizabethtown KY
Nagyon jó film előzetes én is végignéztem.
I've said this before and I'll say it again...Billy Crudup should've been Drew Baylor in the film
Best movie
There are a few fundamental issues with the movie that made it hard for me to really love it. First, Orlando. I know he was a last minute replacement for Ashton Kutcher. Neither is right for this role. Nothing against Orlando, but there are moments where he seems to struggle with an American accent versus emoting what the scene needed as a grieving and suicidal young man. The second is the whole Spasmotica shoe subplot. As a former Nike designer…there is no way in hell a shoe would be developed that long without numerous test phases and focus groups. A billion dollar loss from a single shoe drop is a bit further than suspension of disbelief will allow. Everything else is wonderful. What I love most is Kirsten and her heart and the idea of living in a small town that is as caring and fun and protective as the folks represented in Elizabethown.
Merry Christmas to whoever is watching this?
Wait, that was Paula deen?
This movie should be recreated in Bollywood with John Deepika or Kartik Kriti Sanon
0:19 Jessica Biel looks so much like Whitney Cummings here
I saw this in theaters and I don't remember anything about it.
That's weird, best love story ever on the big screen.

Good movie, but I can't stand that Dunst creature! Set in Louisville, somehow they had to involve "Nasville" which is as not Louisville as you can get. Sophisticated versus hillbilly.

Movie is 30 minutes too long
This movie was soooooo boring. Watch Garden State instead.
Its nt bad at all.

Agree! Boring story with gorgeous cast. What a waste!
When I realized that the movie was directed by Tom Cruise, I fully understand why it is so boring.😅

Kirsten Dunst as the voice of the "AI" in "Her", having also done a "Her" about how all men are bad, film used irresponsibly.
The voice of the lady from "her" is Scarlett Johansson bud
Christin Roy, are you okay? You've never seen different versions of films? Like with different act-ors/tresses? Different technologies? Now that the "technological revolution" has passed, there are now more than ever, many new/different versions available.

Orlando wasn't even from Kentucky, he was from CA so why was they making him speak in a Kentucky accent?

Wow, that movie looks just terrible
Worst movie I've ever seen.
I get it why some critics might have panned it. but this is not just a movie. its a vibe. His mother, Claire's role in his life, the Elizabethtown community, the incredible soundtracks. it all make you feel good and immersed while watching it. I visited this movie every year since it came out and I fall in love with it every time and also with "The Holiday" .
And Love Actually! ❤️❤️❤️
The holiday, love actually ❤❤❤❤
For me, one of the best movies ever with a soundtrack that sweeps you right off of your feet! Mind blown the first time, mind blown always! Thank you Cameron Crowe!

Theatrical release: "Worst movie ever"
RUclips trailer: "Oh it was such a good movie"
It's one of my favorite movies. The relationship Drew has with his father is very touching and it's very easy to identify with him because so many of us have difficult relationships with our fathers. There was a lump in my throat when Drew approached to the coffin.
Kirsten Dunst is overwhelmingly beautiful in this film and I think it's one of her best performances. I had an instant crush on her. Well, actually, I've always liked her, it's just that she can't be so brilliant and so devilishly beautiful at the same time!
Claire is a very complex character. It's obvious that she fell in love with Drew at first sight. The things that girl does for Drew can only be done by a girl who is very much in love. But she's also very fragile and scarred by many things (the unlucky dress, perceiving herself as a substitute, doing everything she can to get Drew to wake up and go after her,
inventing a boyfriend as Ben, though perhaps that imaginary Ben embodies all the men who hurt her).
Orlando Bloom is great as well. I think he look very vulnerable, especially the last twenty minutes.
I think time is putting this movie where it deserves to be!
🧸
Kirsten dunst has done an wonderful job with her characters in these two movies and they are Elizabethtown and crazy beautiful. Also both of these movies are my favorite that she has done and I know Kirsten has done a lot of movies over the years, however there's just something about these two movies here Elizabethtown and crazy beautiful I cannot get enough of.
Great movies and if you haven't seen theses two movies, please give them a chance.

I still plan to see all of her movies though and this one has many charms about it.
i really liked this movie
Ahh the famous manic pixie dream girl that everyone suddenly wants in their girl
Under rated i love this movie
One of the finest movies.
People really watch this movie best you will ever have seen with great music. Best feel good movies you will ever see. I watch this one 4 times every year.
Utter sappy movie. Apart from making no sense, it had every cliche in the book, deliberately jammed into 1.5 hours. I'm surprised good actors like Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom got involved in the first place. Maybe they needed the paychecks, but it was rightfully panned by critics - it was just lame, and I'm sure those actors are embarrassed about what came out.
When you watch some scenes with music you like
you will wish you could go back to October 2005 in kentuky😂😂
Anyone please dm me the name of the song in the trailer .. please
