That would be one big 'N' scale layout. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome. Big indeed! Could fit a decent O scale switching layout in there. Or even a small G guage logging layout.

I absolutely love this layout design, especially since I've been in that area of Canada many times! Looks like this might be loosely based on the Canadian Pacific line from Winnipeg to Kenora, if I remember correctly....it's been years since I've been up that way. But one thing for sure, there are a ton of lakes in the Kenora area of western Ontario! It's very beautiful, and very rugged. There are indeed lots of rocks too!
The layout design itself is exceptional, I would love to have a layout like this myself. N scale is a wonderful size for a rail-fanning layout. Nice to see that big engine servicing area, as N scalers are notorious for collecting engines of all kinds.
My own super simple layout, an N scale KATO setup, is based on a fictional connection between the "Twin Ports" of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior Wisconsin with Thunder Bay Ontario set in the 1970's. It's a sectional layout, that will be just a simple loop to begin with, but will eventually be stretched to an "L" shaped shelf layout. There were a lot of railroads that served Duluth/Superior back in those days, so they layout will allow me to run a lot of different equipment from different railroads. Mainly it will be based on the Burlington Northern of that era, but there will also be trains from the Canadian Pacific, Chicago North Western, Milwaukee Road, Soo Line and hopefully the Duluth, MIssabe and Iron Range. And I plan to have a large staging yard that will represent the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Thanks again for a wonderful layout design!

Thanks Ron for the kind words. That engine facility was a blast to design. It originally excluded the RIP building.

Really enjoy layout designs by the professionals. As far as track, was Kato requested by the customer?

Very interesting layout though, with a lot of possibilities/playability. I especially like the setup of the tracks around the turntable with the repair and oil tracks. And very nicely drawn, that's a real talent! What do you use for drawing, 3rd PlanIt?

Hi Gerben, thanks for the kind words. I use Anyrail for my designs.
The route is refering to the prototype from Winnipeg to Torronto.
