    Let me know what you think of the idea of a Part Restoration mentioned in the video?...

    Brilliant little cars!
    I'm Not surprised what you say, the engine is bulletproof strong ,durable and can handle phenomenal power gains.. mine has turned 80,000 and its as sweet as a nut, smooth silent engine, pulls like a train through the the rev range, those lower arm's are quite common because of the stiff suspension and the low profile tyres, they take a constant hammering over the crappy road surface, it's usually the bushing that comes away from the arm so the arm drops and bangs against the subframe otherwise it'll be the lower ball joint, cheap enough to buy, it's worth doing both arms as the bumper will need to come off to remove them, I love mine, ive never had so much fun, we call mine the mini ferrari

    I think you should leave the color the same, I have a Pop same color exterior and interior I have 95000 miles on it I've never done the breaks or clutch both are still fine I am doing the timing belt and water pump. My car has been problem free up to this point, too anyone looking at buying one I love this little car and I get around 40 mpg

      Unless he's had it totally refreshed then at that mileage and age worth very little

      Wow! Well done!
      We did another 350 miles yesterday following the new aux belt and tensioner upgrades (see latest video).
      Still original clutch!

    Spotted one on eBay with 125k miles. Reckon it might be worth a punt? I'm mechanically minded but concerned it may end up a money pit

    • @RichReviews_
      @RichReviews_  3 месяца назад

      Depends on the car.
      I provide technical support calls if you would like assistance with the purchase?

      @RichReviews_ Thanks - I've previously restored an MR2 from (hopefully) a worse starting position. Found your video while searching for info on high mileage Abarths so thank you.
      Not sure if it was this video or the newer one but you theorised your top end issue was caused by a loose/tampered bolt, so hopefully an isolated incident I guess? In general the 1.4 seems to be a robust unit, from online verdicts at least

    • @RichReviews_
      @RichReviews_  3 месяца назад

      Yes was a tampered stretch bolt that was loose and eventually led to the cog slipping and enabling the valves to hit the pistons.

    I like that you just use this car and think it looks good with its battle damage. I have a white 595 Turismo and never been that keen on that colour but the original 595s they raced were often white so I’ve grown learned to appreciate it. Love the wheels in titanium. Also love green cars. Sorry, I’m probably not helping 😂
