🖤It's funny that you mention this today because a reaction channel I watch just did a reaction to this movie on their patreon a couple days ago and got me curious about why the assassin was named that. Thought maybe he played a character named John Boy in a TV show and became an assassin at some point, I wasn't sure. Then just did a deep dive, found out The Walton's was a real show, the actor who played John Boy, as you mentioned, had a mole, and since this assassin also had one they just called him John Boy as a nickname 😂 but flew over my head when I initially watched it.
🖤LOL That's hilarious, I thought it was just a random thing they had Ryan Gosling say just for the sake of being random XD. And yeah, Russell Crowe can be super funny when he wants to, very funny in this.
@@akathebaronreactsYou're being yanked -- in a fun way 😄. It's a song the troops used to sing, to the tune of Colonel Bogie (the whistle song from Bridge on the River Kwai): "Hitler has only got one ball. Goering has two but they're too small. Himmler has something sim'lar and poor old Goebbels has no balls at all."
Hilarious reaction to this awesome movie! I am SO happy to see that you left in my favorite line of the entire movie, “Porn is bad”. None of the other reaction vids I’ve seen have left it in 😂.
🖤Sorry for the late reply. I don't have alerts for new comments set up right I think and see I have a bunch I haven't replied to. Would have replied sooner LOL. But other reactors leave that part out? It's hilarious the way he delivers it XD!
@@akathebaronreacts yeah, there were SOOOH MANY fantastic lines in this movie! I have been waiting and waiting for the sequel! I hope it doesn't end up like "RED3" !
I thought it was great. I guess the reason it was slept on was it released the same month as movies that overshadowed it. It released 14 days after Captain America: Civil War. I remember seeing the trailer for the Nice Guys in theaters and thinking it looked great but for some reason I didn't see it in theaters. I caught it when it was on HBO.
🖤Growing up I got a fix on a ton of old shows via Nick at Nite and TV Land. A bunch of the Lucy shows, Taxi, Welcome Back Kotter, Mary Tyler Moore, The Duck Van Dyke Show, ect, ect, the list goes on. Buy I never heard of The Walton's. I think it did a bunch of seasons too so that's weird.

I just love how much Ryan Gosling gets fucked up in this movie it was so funny
🖤"Thats a lot of blood. Thats a lot of blood..." cuts to him in the ambulance "We're losing him!" LOL XD
The guy who played John Boy actually had a large mole on his face. His name is Richard Thomas.

Calling Ryan Gosling a silly goose made me giggle
Yup, Hitler had one ball... and Russell Crowe is so funny in this.

🖤Makes sense. If a good movie gets released at the wrong time it can kill it's momentum. But I really enjoyed this one. Already watched it again.
I am 77 years old and I have a good memory, but I was not a huge "Waltons" fan, too sweet and syrupy.

@@akathebaronreacts It went for 9 seasons and was about a farm family in the mountains during the Great depression and WW II.
Hello. Have you seen the movie Tarzan The Fearless?
🖤I haven't. Just looked it up to see about it, is it worth a watch?
@@akathebaronreacts I think it's worth watching
