Babymetal arena shows are always Epic!! They've only performed 2 arena shows outside of Japan, to date. Wembley arena, London. They were the first band from Japan to perform in the arena. X Japan was scheduled, but they fell apart before they could perform. Yoshiki, drummer/composer was there to see them. The second show was at the LA Forum, sold-out of course.
This was done before Momoko became a full member.

I've told this story once but it bears repeating. The day this song dropped, I was waking up from about 2 hours sleep, having worked all night on an unresolvable problem, had gotten re-connected to work to continue trying to resolve the issue when I noticed this song had dropped. I flipped over from work and started the song. Needless to say, I was in a very stressed state of mind from work. The moment Su's vocals began I experienced a physical response, I felt my shoulders, which were tense from stress, involuntarily relax. I was not even aware I was that tense. I felt it through my while body and more importantly, my attitude adjusted. The world was again a great place and the issue at work was less important. I was able to return to my work efforts feeling much better than I had before listening to this song for the first time.
    Raise your hands
    To the Lord
    Raise your voice
    To the world
Raise your flag, 共にあれ (Let's be together)
A far cry from Gimme Chocolate. :)

Great reaction. 'Metal Kingdom' is the first song on their latest album, so of course they used it for the epic theatrical opening number at their concerts at the end of January where this was filmed - their first live concerts in nearly 2 years.
The thrones (there are actually 3 of them) made with swords and hands showing the Kitsune 🦊 probably are inspired by Game of Thrones - but these are even bigger and better ... at the start of the concert a couple of huge fox gates opened and Su and Moa appeared seated on the thrones.

Over the past decade we have seen the rebirth of Su as the queen of Metal. We've also always called her queen but never seen her throne. In this year's first concert we finally saw her throne. EPIC Throne. Perfect for our queen. 🦊

    Another great reaction, thanks!
This is the new album, The Other ONE opener and they also used it as an opening number on their first shows after the hiatus early this year. The footage on this music video is from those shows while the audio is the studio track. And yes, it's epic and it sets the atmosphere for the album listening (or the live show).
Keep in mind that The Other ONE is a concept album and it's even better as a whole. So, yes, you should listen to the whole album and in order.

Thanks for the reaction. This song definitely has that epic feeling for a big spectacle show like they did here, and it is a good song for the crowd to sing along, too. I have only seen fan cams, but even on smaller stages on the current world tour, this song with just the Kami band and the ladies dancing is still good. This is another Babymetal song I liked a lot more when I saw a live performance of it. I guess I could say that about every BM song though.

Nice reaction. An epic level performance of the regal return of Babymetal to their kingdom. The stage in front of a live audience. For a while it was thought that because of covid. Some of their first return performances would be virtual. I have to say thank God that didn't happen. Anytime Babymetal performs the audience is such a large part of the performance. Here while the audio I think is mostly take if not all from the album. Live the crowd did a lot of those Oh ah oh's with Moa. As it should be. If you get to see them now, you can sing that part with Moa and Momoko. Now I wonder did they do any interviews while in Europe or where they are now? Just want to hear what Momoko has to say now that she is officially part of Babymetal. When they made Momoko into Momometal she came out on the thrown chair too. They are the Queens that all shall hale. Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This MV is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I fortunately witnessed both shows at the venue. This was the perfect opening song. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages that reciprocate on the long runway for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue. (Those drones were manipulated by drone racing experts)
Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience (including me) were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The East Kami band was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video.
After this opening with stateliness, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger, she became the official 3rd member, Momometal, in the April show. You saw three thrones at 02:41 in your video. That's why.

The Fox Gate has been open...
    Let the METAL KINGDOM come!🙌
    -NotACult- 🦊🤘👑
This is why BabyMetal have no match among any other Japanese artists, top notch worldwide. Many others are finding Game Of Thrones resemblance on this stage setup, it just looks insane. The ten apostles are holding crosiers with "The Other One" logo which is similar to the infinite symbol "OO" and is the title of upcoming 4th album. The girls are carrying some kind of trident similar to the Spear Of Destiny or Lance Of Longinus from Evangelion anime series, if you know MoaMetal you know you gotta be careful with her. 🔱
Here's some official info about this song:
    METAL KINGDOM (THRONE)
_It is a powerful anthem ushering in the beginning of a new era while also representing the power and courage to step forward into uncharted territory. The track conveys imagery of one rising powerfully from the throne of silence, with a suitable fanfare announcing this new beginning._
Ending January at Makuhari Messe, they held two big live shows returning to the stage after almost two years. and by far they meet up my expectations with this epic live performance and top notch production.
SuMetal and MoaMetal showing why they're a queen and princess deserving their thrones. Those freaking cinematic drone shots making you feel like you're in a movie. There's also a dance choreo version performed only outside of Japan during this recent World Tour and some fans witnessed this even more gorgeous performance.
We were expecting this live proshot version but we already had a live version with the WOWOW broadcast and the recent released BD version.
We got so many big news and announcements back then, a new official member was announced to come next live shows in April 1st (Fox Day) when returning once again with another headlining shows at PIA ARENA MM Yokohama, you already know it was MomoMetal the one blessed by the Fox God. Also they performed with a new BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, so we're guessing maybe some of the older kawaii metal songs they don't play anymore will be back with this new unit, so stay tuned for more but like always OTFGK.
Thanks for sharing this and don't forget to put your kitsune up!🦊🤘👑

Before the new album came out I was kind of worried that I would be disappointed in it, because I listened to the snippets as they released them but none really blew me away. When they released this video though it pretty much put an end to any doubt I was having. This song and performance is just awesome! As much as I like the first couple albums, I was really into the more serious and darker sound of the second half of Metal Galaxy. Kagerou, the trilogy of light, BxMxC, etc just feel more serious than fun, and I dig it. The Other One continues that feel to me. It’s one of those albums you don’t have to skip to the next track, just let it play.

Great reaction. I saw them in Japan in 2020 and if you ever get the chance do what you can to go. It’s an experience that you’ll never ever forget. The Japanese are masters at this kind of thing and BABYMETAL are the best of the best. Su, Moa, Yui and now Momoko can have grown men eating out their hands with a glance.

There are two other main versions of this song. They all generally sound the same, no major changes besides studio vs live sound. There is the as yet unreleased version with the new third member Momometal in this outfit with her own fork spear, with actual live vocals, at this production level. There is also a version in their normal stage gear they have been performing on tour that has actual choreography dance with it. This song has become one of their semi-mainstays on their current setlist, played at about 1/3 of the shows done so far this year.
This track is the studio version, the live version of the music is on a whole other level. Over the course of the next 2-3 months those should start coming out on bootleg, and I believe the full live versions are being released on bluray this summer (one might be out already). The version of the "throne setup" with Momoko also sitting with the others in the thrones, completes the story being told throughout. They are three queens, rallying their army. That happened at Clear Night on April 2, that bluray is coming out in like 3 months with the WOWOW broadcast replay in 2 weeks. My twitter header is a still shot taken from that show, and as a huge Momoko fan, that is the moment BABYMETAL truly returned. twitter.com/TheLegitDeadly/header_photo

I saw them a few weeks ago in Sydney. Nowhere near the scale of this venue, about 5,000 and a conventional stage setup, but still an epic performance. Metal Kingdom was a highlight, that intro segment is mesmerising.

A lot of this song brings to mind Daft Punk and the "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack with Gregorian chant. But, in my humble opinion, if someone had played this for me without me knowing who it was, I would have never guessed it was BABYMETAL. Now don't get me wrong: I love BABYMETAL. I will be the first to say that Suzuka Nakamoto has a wonderful voice but, aside from that, I'm very disappointed with the direction that BABYMETAL has taken. Their first two albums and most of their third made metal music fun. But they aren't "BABYMETAL-ish" any more. Where's the fun? Where's the kawaii? It's seems to me that they're trying too hard to make "epic" music when they need to get back to what made them great: songs that made you bang your head with a big, sh*t-eating grin on your face.
Is it bad music? No - not for an average, run-of-the-mill J-metal band. But for BABYMETAL? It's okay: not all of their albums are going to be slam-dunks like "BABYMETAL" and "Metal Resistance". All music bands have that one album that make all their other albums sound that much better.
    🦊🤘
