Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐
Another song composed by YuppeMetal, the same guy behind Karate, Rondo Of Nightmare, Kagerou and Believing from new album among other songs and arrangements. He definitely knows what he's doing and fans were enjoying this song during all their setlist throughout this World Tour.
Cool to see you're ready to turn on the lights, make sure to get your phone ready too at live concerts, you don't wanna miss this beautiful moment with the phone off like some fans had it in this concert missing this moment.👀😅
The clips you saw in this live version are from the official lyrics video and is also used at live concerts but it was used here to lure the algorithm.
The Piano Version was also another beautiful version just like Akatsuki Unfinished Version performed at Legend 1997 (2013). Introducing once again the metalverse lore, probably. They announced recently these new BM unit will be at Summer Sonic Festival next month and opening up the line up, also another festival called "Next Fest" will be held featuring BMTH, Maximum The Hormone, Paledusk, Yoasobi and more.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🌈

    Great double reaction, thanks!
The piano version is incredibly beautiful but I still prefer the regular version specially live... specially in real life. I experienced it last May in Berlin in a relatively big arena (17.000 people) and it was absolutely amazing and the part when Su was humming while all the phone lights were lit was just mind-blowing.
Su-metal became my favorite singer of all time after seeing a few of her solos, this only strengthens my opinion. 🤘🦊

I don't know how many dozens of times I have heard this song by now, and I'm still crying before I even get to the first verse. I'm almost 50 now, and there are many songs that have made my cry over the years, but most of the time I had to be in a special mood to begin with. Nothing has ever hit me like Su's voice.

Thanks for the reaction. Monochrome is one of my favorites off the new album. That first take version is so good too. I like Mirror Mirror and Maya a lot off the new album also. I hope they play all of those when I see them in October. I'll get Monochrome for sure I think, maybe the others too. I respect that Babymetal always tries to do new things. It takes courage, when you know it would be easier to make fans happy if you just do things you have already done. Having said that, I really hope that there is a power metal song on the next album. Babymetal + Power Metal is a match made in heaven.

It's so fun to watch this over again. I was at Makuhari Messe for this show and when Su started to hum the melody, I saw tears on people's faces and I got a little misty myself. For a lot of the fans who had feared that they might have disbanded after 10BB, this was the healing moment where it really felt like they were back for real

The whole of the new album, The Other One, is pretty flawless. The piano version of Monochrome is 100% absolutely flawless. Only Su can hum and make it moving! In Japan, it's considered rude to do things like filming the artists instead of experiencing them so phones are kept in pockets - which is why Su had to ask the audience to take them out and turn them on. We have much to learn in the West. 🦊🤘🤘🦊

One day I will go to a London show even though I'm an older fan. But I can't imagine a London crowd responding the way the Japanese etc do. That total collective reaction is literally part of the experience, I can only imagine in awe what it's like. I've never seen anything like it over decades and I'm so glad I stumbled on BM a few months ago ❤❤❤

excellent content Dunk-Metal, I don't know if anyone in the chat mentioned this but, in an interview, SU said that the reactions from fans changed her own feelings about this song and that's why they perform it the way that they do. She is just so hella awesome of a person, that's why she is the queen of the Metal Kingdom, the goddess of The "ONE" and the messiah to the Golden Generation.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This song was performed 3 times in Japan arena shows. I fortunately witnessed all of them at venues. I sang with other audience that ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Moa (in January) and with Moa / Momo (in April). What a bliss!
They continued to perform Monochrome thereafter in Europe, Asia and Australia.
In the first take version, the girls proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to headbang with their heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. And thank you Koba, the BM producer, for your serendipity. Some 13 years ago, you certainly discovered something amazing and sacred for us.
Speaking of the three figures in white hood adding some background vocals, they are certainly homage to BM's girlhood with original three girls.

Excellent reaction and well done on holding your remarks until the end on the beautifully rendered piano version.
Suzuka’s vocals in my opinion are other worldly. Someone put it best I think when they compared it a gentle rain that soothes the soul but can quickly turn into a raging storm that can shatter a window if desired.
So many more great LIVE BabyMetal performances left to react to.

You should watch the lyric video, they showed the black and white clips of it during the live version Some think the song was about the bomb dropped on Hiroshima (Su's hometown) With the video imagery and knowing Su hometown is Hiroshima it just hits different I like all three versions but not a fan of the humming during the live version

I think the live version and the piano version are incomparable, and I love them both the same, and yet in a different way. Some reactions below already revealed this is about the nuclear bombs on Japan, especially Hiroshima. The live version sounds more angry (me, an old punk, likes that anger). The piano version gives a more sad en powerless vibe, which is another well understood emotion. That's why I love both versions of this song, and listen to it everyday

    • @herryhubert2706
      @herryhubert2706 Месяц назад +1

Personally I think monochrome refers to the brightness of the explosion which makes you only see black and white. I'm not a native English speaker, but in the early 80's I often listened to a band called Discharge. I remember one song where a voice over commented about a nuclear bomb: "An explosion 30 times brighter than the midday's sun".
