The only thing better than a reaction to BABYMETAL is a double BABYMETAL reaction. With the slight caution of being careful of how much "sweetness" can be consumed in a short period of time. 😋
Mirror Mirror is so underrated
If this gets to you you need to check out Babymetal's triology of lights; starlight, shine and arkadia.
From what I understand it's a tribute to a lost band member and a member leaving.
This album gets better and better every time you hear it!

Ha! They come back to the chorus, you expect the drop, and you get a piano chord where it was guitar previously, and just as it sinks in, the next bar comes and they drop and catch you unaware. They got me too. Geniuses at arrangement. They pay attention to details on everything they do

"Mirror Mirror" was like fishing in a barrel but "Light and Darkness" is way outside my alley musically and I needed some extra listens until it grew on me until it hit me emotionally. Probably because of Su-metal vocals... I don't know why but it got me. 😁
Definitely watch/listen to the full album. Personally i love every song BABYMETAL has.
I will be going to see them live in Toronto this September. I am so stoked for this. You should go see them as they will be touring in US and Canada (2 in Canada and i think 48 places in the states) with Dethklok.

You missed Mirror Mirror title in this great set double reaction, anyway i'm glad to see more people reacting to this song, I'm pretty sure everyone was looking for and is even one of SuMetal's favorite from this album. I like the progressive metal elements and that nasty heavy breakdown. There's also a reference to Macbeth in the lyrics besides the obvious lines famously known by Snow White tale.

Mirror Mirror was the 5th and final single they released from this new album called The Other One released in March showing us a new sound and a BM side we've never seen before with this metalverse.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with MomoMetal debuting as the new official third member, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and we're all proud of her, but don't think this as a replacement of YuiMetal, she's like a new incorporation to this group for this new lore and metalverse era, btw today is Yui's birthday so happy birthday to our never forgotten tomato princess. 🍅♥️
Also the BM logo change, it doesn't have the skull and the heart in the B letter, as well there's only three feathers in the logo unlike four prior to this.
The Western Kami Band was in charge of these shows.
They performed this at Sabaton's Europe Tour, Asian and Australian Tour, everyone were having a blast with their classic songs and the new ones, they also added another two shows in Japan with the return of Apocrypha live concerts exclusive for BM fans members of The One.

Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound, don't worry SuMetal got that emotional effect in all of us, she also said this was one of the hardest song to record in the studio. Here's some info about this song:

Both are great musicians with virtuosity.

The new album is pretty much wall to wall bangers, and they are all quite distinct and different from one another. As an overall album it's also their most cohesive as a single body of work and contains some of the best vocals Su has ever done.
Babymetal is so unique.

really good reaction, man. glad to see you enjoy the new Babymetal stuff as much as I do. Not sure how much of their older material you've seen yet - perhaps try the music vid for Megitsune - it contains a base tune that's (from memory of old research) over 200 years old, and they way they use it makes the song really kick.
What I really like in your reactions is that you never (I guess) saying "I WASN'T EXPECTED THIS" and just having open-minded fun. I'm watching BM (and other japan-related) reactions for more than 5 years already and you're in top-10 of my favorite reactors instantly!

Good stuff. Personally I have never found a band that seems like every single song could be a number one hit. Sure some are better than others but BABYMETAL just makes every single album easy to put on and listen to the entire thing. No skipping needed. NEVER has that happened to me before and I like many bands of all types of genres. There are a few bands that have solid albums but usually there feels like 2-4 filler songs. BABYMETAL has 4 albums that feel like there is no filler. Again this is me personally but these girls, the Kami Band, and all who work together to make this magic happen will never know how much I love and adore this band. 🤘🦊🤘

BabyMetal is unique alright.
After I began watching BabyMetal I have a difficult time just watching a band play music without awesome choreography and a female vocalist with the diversity and range of Suzuka Nakamoto.
Without those things LIVE performances just aren’t the same.
