If igor Santos ever felt like delivering some series of music lectures, I--as a non-musician---would love to see it ! The guy speaks better English than most native-speakers--and manages to put into words musical mysteries that even us barbarians can understand---the subtleties and complexities of music that can be so elusive.! Altogether, Igor Santos is a rare treasure in the field of music education !...fascinating stuff !!

It may help you empathize with his expression without relating it to your own pain as harshly for the more serious songs. He has a LOT of fun songs, and technically great songs too that you will enjoy too. I was disappointed you never got to them. Ren is a genius lyricist. Double and triple entendres, rhyme schemes, within rhyme schemes.

Really interesting analysis. Rens ability to act, perform, emote within his singing and playing, draws the emotion out of us. It's so powerful. I have released so much pent up emotion with his music. Its cleansing.

If Jenny & Screech was your first Ren then I understand completely why you'd be afraid to return to him. A lot of his music is deep and emotionally grabbing, but none of his other work is as flat out brutal as Jenny & Screech (which I think is why it's requested so much). Reactors usually start with "Hi Ren", that's an emotional one but in a very different way. Ren can sing, he can rap, he can write poetry and he can play several instruments (very well, self taught on all). He doesn't always do Bardcore (as you see here, it's a song cover), and to my knowledge the rest of his extensive catalogue does not contain any more tragedies.

Im lucky i discovered him busking near a festival i was working in brighton. 37 yrs in live music production. Im 58 . Ozzy and Neil Young are my gods. But Ren is the musician i needed all my life. Its hard not to tear up on his epics. Go through all his repertoire. Not even to react to it. Do it for yourself. Hes a genre hopping multiinstrumental genius. He's special. My dark year is almost over. This week im coming back to my socials and I'll explain why i hid from family , friends, and worse myself. I grew up poor, and now I'm in the French Riveria sounds fancy. I came here to recover .... me. I am lucky. But its time i break down my walls and help others. Much love man . I subscribed and liked and I will be back.
