Hi everyone. Just a quick PSA. If you've come to the comment section to complain about us taking 3 years to get to this point. My kid died right after we bought this place , and it's taken this long for me to really find my feet again, so if you're going to pass judgement, know the whole story folks. This is a household that is grieving the loss of 3 close family members in 4 years. The other two were siblings. I'm also partially disabled and can only do so much stuff at once without ending up in a bad way. So think before you comment, people.

You need to use that special aluminum electrical wire grease on those main lines where you stripped them and put them under the lugs on the top side of the meter. You will probably fail inspection if you don't. The aluminum wire starts to oxidize with in minutes of being stripped and you really are supposed to do it right away, but if you just loosen the lugs, pack the grease in and tighten them back down no one will know the difference. It's only a few bucks for a small tube of it at the hardware.

Mike bought some flat stock and used the welder to fabricobble something together.
How far is your pole from the utilities company pole , ? Just curious because I'm installing mine & its basically like yours..mine is 130 ft between the 2 poles & I'm wondering if theyll make me add another pole.
I just did a rough measurement and we are about 50-55’ from the pole. I have no idea what the maximum is, so I’d suggest calling the power company and asking them what is involved for your particular location. Best of luck to you!! ❤️❤️
