@@Hephasto он не только играл в Москве,но и учился в Московской консерватории. Слежу за его творчеством с тех пор,когда Евгений был ещё подростком. По советскому телевидению его часто показывали,и я всегда восхищалась его талантом. Считаю Евгения намного талантливее того же Мацуева.

Kissin is a phenomenon! I don't care about the creepy situation that we are living right now, but I will always love Russia's amazing music , composers, writers and the talented artists such as Evgeny !

Does an artist has the right to express his opinion YES! he does the same thing as a Catholic or other faith one has the right to defend their faith. Kissin was right to express his mind about the anti- semitism which I agree. Look around you why are people afraid to criticize the Muslim because they are afraid maybe. So please leave him alone darksilentvoid he has all the right just like you and me to speak up. Kudos to you Mr. kissin in defending your faith. You can count on me. I am proud to say that the Pres. of my country
save 1500 Jews and I am grateful for that.

Echoherb i have to agree with you. most will mess up the cruel last minutes of the 3rd movement. i have to say kissin's clarity stunned me big time.

Echoherb I know it's incredible, so precise and perfect timing. I personally like the way it sounds in the other recording of him playing it.
This is a piece I know very very well.
I performed it often from 1990-2005.
I have heard many recordings of the work. This is among the very best.
Richter and Steven de Groote are my other favorites.
I have heard so many recordings of the Prokofiev sonata no. 8 over the years, since I was a kid (I'm 53 now). No one plays the "left footed waltz"( the allegro ben marcato ) like Kissin! Not to mention the coda. Shoot, the whole dam thing!
I love this which is not surprising since I love everything Kissin plays.

I would really love to be able to play like him some day, but what I really want is his hair!!!

His hair actually adds to the performance - the way it moves and the light shines through it. Stunning.

I like the speed variation for the third movement of Sonata 8. He played with a more stable temple in another concert, which actually sounds more technically perfect.

Не секрет , что существуют различные организации , целью которых является разжигание конфликта двух партий , как это изображено в известной трагедии Шекспира . В глобальном масштабе точно так и происходит .
Чтобы остановить бесконечную череду противостояний Человечество должно переродиться . В буквальном смысле все стать братьями и сёстрами .

Not 'nice' pieces to listen to but excellent sources of stimulating inspiration. I particularly enjoy "Montegues and Capulets", what a powerful march. Makes you wonder if Prokoviev wasn't an honorary member of the KGB. Where did the ideas come from for his peculiar yet logical thematic developments? Darkest totalitarian night mares? Play on.
Yes montagues was nice but rest just rubbish . Waste of talent on pieces like these
