I’ve heard all this talk about robbing Boba of an entire episode of his own series. I don’t think so. I have to believe that F&F had planned for Boba’s storyline this season to play out over 6 episodes (not 7) from the very beginning. But during development, the decision was made to create and include this episode, strategically, into this point of the story. Doing this would bring the audience up to date with what Din has been doing since the MS2 finale, and also scratch that Mando itch we’ve all had since then. All without taking away any screen time for Boba Fett’s story to unfold. If I’m right about this, all I can say is, well done. This is the Way. Also: the ring world spaceport is known as Glavis, and I really hope we visit it again. Also: Give Bryce Dallas Howard her own Star Wars series (or trilogy) right now!!!
Not just the Live action films and TV its the games, books, comics and cartoons as well. Lucasfilm/Star Wars is taking "Shared universe" to a whole new level. Krrsantan from the comics. BD droid from Fallen Order. Darksaber, Bo'Katan and Ahsoka from Clone wars, Rebels and now Mandalorian. Hera Sindula has appeared in Bad-batch, Rebels and Star wards squadrons, and quite possibly appeared in EP9 piloting the ghost. It is rather impressive really.
I thought the same thing about Din Djarin faltering in the duel and rallying while thinking of Grogu, but I think it works better thematically that he perseveres when he drops the weapon and the dogma and moves faster without it to take Vizla's legs with little cuts.
I didn't really even realize until you guys mentioned the one-take and how technically impressive it was that the entire head-delivery segment was likely heavily CGI, and I have *no* idea how much CGI the N-1 fighter was. It was all so seamless, even the droids and alien background characters just blended into "yeah, that looks right"; the whole test-run was absolutely gorgeous and again, almost entirely CGI. Their artists this season have really knocked it out of the park.
I really love their willingness to mine everything in the lore for story and easter eggs. Going all the way back to KOTOR for the Tuskens, the prequels, the animated series, Fallen Order (BD), etc.
They really are blending EVERYTHING. Films, TV, games, books, comics and cartoons. Lucasfilm/Star Wars is taking "Shared universe" to a whole new level. Krrsantan from the comics. And is rumoured, along with Sabine Wren and Ezra, to appear in the Ahsoka series. It is quite impressive.
I agree that all these will be one big story with the Mandolorian being the thread that ties them all together. Because he is a newly created character he can weave together all the different stories and source material almost perfectly because it can be molded around him. So Bob's sorry, Asoka, possibly Cal Kestis now cause we had a BD droid possibly BD-1 in this episode and a ton more old Star Wars stuff can be thrown into this format and make sense. I believe that Mando is going to become the next Jedi Mandolorian, it really seems they are steering him in that direction which is amazing and I want to see it
I don't think Din is going to be the next Mandalorian Jedi as he has no connection to the Force. If he had, then both Luke and Grogu themselves would have sensed it. The BD droid we saw in the episode is probably not the same BD-1 from Jedi: Fallen Order, but it is awesome to see it regardless. I do believe that we will see Ahsoka again, as preparation for her own series that is coming soon. But I do think first and foremost that we will see Grogu and Luke Skywalker, with Mando giving Grogu his gift and Luke training Mando on how to wield the darksaber. In any case, it is going to be very interesting...
Not sure if you guys have ever considered it, but I for one would love to watch your reactions to Clone Wars and Rebels. So much of what happens in those shows is going to be key to events in the shows to come. In any case, I love watching you all for your love of Star Wars, Marvel, and Invincible. Hope you guys continue to do reactions for as long as you enjoy doing so 💙

They say that this episode actually was S3E1 from Mando, they added it just to tie the story with boba but by far one of the best episodes with the one from last week as well! You guys rock💪🏽
"The sacred waters under the mines of Mandalore", and "Tatooine was once covered in oceans" are too much to be coincidence. The Obi-Wan series will show us caverns under the sands of Tatooine with lakes or even oceans, and Tatooine will become the next Mandalore. The Tuskens would be a great warrior culture to bring into the Mandalorians to help fill the ranks.
I'm pretty sure the cryogenic density combustion booster the jawas brought back to Mando was a nod to the piece of junk Han used in the trash compactor scene in A New Hope.
I think the reason they showed Mano checking the darksaber with security was to confirm to the audience he still had it after leaving the Mandolorian order.
I love the way the describe the N-1 as being "bumpy" because that's how real planes feel. Cargo/passenger planes are designed to be stable and comfortable but the side effect is that they aren't super maneuverable. A F-16 fighter jet is designed specifically to be unstable in the air because it makes them more twitchy/maneuverable
Let me just say that I made a very manly and not at all high-pitched (yes, I'm lying) squee when I saw the BD-droid. They even got the constantly-in-motion mannerisms down right! BD-droids are basically the Jack Russell terriers of droids.
Mando joining Boba brings the darksaber and all the mandolorians + Cob Vanth and other tuskin tribs, not to mention Greff and Ahsoka possible Is to help him learn balance for the dark saber
Adam needs to take the fellas on a journey through Rebels. there’s a little episode called Trials of the Darksaber they need to watch And I’m a NEED the BTS for that one-shot, it was incredible
I know what you guys mean about tapping into our memories of Star Wars. I haven't seen a prequel in ages but they exist in my memory. As the content of those films is referred to or built upon by other shows, those memories get updated. I wasn't a fan of the prequels when they came out (I'm late 40s) but they are becoming better movies because the story they are built on is growing like this.
Crazy how the best episode in the book of Boba Fett is all about the Mandalorian. It's amazing how attached I'm to the story of the Mandalorian only after this short while. this last episode could be truly epic. role on Wednesday. This is the Way.
That is one loooooooooooooooooong transport stop. For Mando to see the young Rodian, disembark, work on a new ship, take it for a test ride, and then see the same kid in the same ship, it must have been one hell of a delay.
It is funny, but as I watch you guys I finally think I believe the Mandalorian returned. That is to say, Din Djarin in my mind is the modern day concept of what was Boba Fett. And while Boba Fett was classified a Mandalorian, and the Star Wars canon and legends have specifically defined a "Mandalorian", there was a time wherein the meaning of "Mandalorian" was in mind and imagination of the audience. Din Djarin returns to the made up concepts of what it means to be a Mandalorian only to be told that he no longer fits the strict concept, and by the end of the episode he readily accepts returning to the original Boba Fett. The Mandalorian again becomes and can be what we perceive or imagine him to be. Meta.
Mando with that Dark Saber! The scene of Night Of 1000 Tears epic! Too bad about the spear but it's a gift for Grogu. All the lore, references on Tatooine and the Starfighter! Thank you Bryce, Favreau & Filoni! 2 to go!
I swear there making us fall in love with this franchise that we already love it’s like renewing your vows to a show 😂 and I wonder if they will bring up bobba’s sister at some point because that would blow my mind like seeing Asoka
I always loved the Naboo starfighter in games. Fast, maneuverable, and generally had adequate shielding and weapons. I love Mando's hot-rodded version. Speaking of the games, I was really familiar with that pod-racing track, not only from Episode 1, but also from the N64 game, Pod Racer. I still have the pod I built in the game stored on a memory card and can jump on and play any time I like.
When Paz Vizsla pulls out a vibro-blade to attack, only to have it destroyed by the Dark Saber, its actually a reference to a comment made by George Lucas, and reference by Dave Filoni at SW Celebration 2019, that a light saber would easily cut a vibro-blade in half. George then designed the Dark Saber. Filoni's revelation of this tidbit can be found at the 35:00 mark here: ruclips.net/video/RsrTkOcLGVM/видео.html
I loved this episode...this was amazing, honestly, the attention to detail is incredible...fun fact- the "cryogenic density combustion booster", is the same thing that Luke used in the rubbish compactor with Han.....my star wars mind is blown.....This is the way !!
You know, Favreau only performs the voice dub for Paz Vizsla. That guy is being played by the same one who got his drink spilled by Mando in the very first episode, Tait Fletcher. ("Uba hasa, mee yocola!")
Wait wait, Hector, where did the Lake Minnetonka reference come from? @11:00. I live in Minnesota and that lake is like 20 feet away at any given point.
Theories: A. When the Armorer told Din he was a "Mandalorian no more" it had 2 meanings. 1) He was no longer part of their group/religion/sect. And 2) He was no longer just a Mandalorian. That his past time with Grogu and the experiences he's going to have with him and others in the future...are going to make him more. Like part Mandalorian and part Jedi. Or part Mandalorian creed and some other evolved version of that. B. We haven't seen/heard the last of Moff Gideon. When Din told the Armorer what happened and that he was going to be tried, convicted and punished by the New Republic....the Armorer said, "We shall see." As if to say she didn't believe or "see" that as happening. C. Pelli Motto (Amy's character) is going to be off-world in the future. She specifically said, she never had been. And given everything that's coming up with Boba & the Pykes and her now friendship with Din....she's part of the crew now. She could experience fallout from the war and have to leave Tatooine...or maybe she's part of helping to revive Mandalore....which brings me to my next theory. D. Din....with Grogu by his side is going to return to Mandalore and help restore that planet. Particularly, the waters under the mines that he needs to reintegrate into the creed. Grogu is Force sensitive and could definitely revitalize those waters. Or at least reintegration going to be his intent. Whether that goal remains consistent or it evolves over time, remains to be seen. But I think a return to Mandalore is the focus of S3. E. Finally, I don't think we're going to see Mando with Grogu in the next eppy of TBOBF. Think about it...he has to find him. It's not like they're pen pals and staying in touch. Din's not a Jedi, he can't sense Grogu's location. He'd have to search for and find him and we don't have time for that. I think we'll pick back up with Boba and Fennec and their battle with the Pykes and all the people she's recruited to help and in the final episode, Din will show up at a crucial point and assist. Possibly with Grogu or possibly not. I Think S3 of the Mandalorian we'll see in flashback how they reunited and what that experience was. Maybe he get some Jedi training or tips from Luke. Maybe he just watch Luke training Grogu. I think he will have picked up some things and be better with the saber but not fully trained with it yet. But again, I don't think we'll see that on screen until S3 of The Mandalorian.
This episode was such a delight, as a newer Star Wars fan I'm enjoying this show more than I thought I would cause I have no previous attachment to Boba Fett. I've seen the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy but not the prequels, yet.
Took 5 weeks and episodes to get to see badass Boba Fett kicking ass and collecting a bounty as we hoped he would in his show in the opening of The Return of the King Mandalorian

Many characters in these Disney series’ have made appearances in other shows, i.e. Ahsoka and even Boba, and The Mandalorian is the next to do it. That series is the strongest by far, but his story follows what’s going on with Boba. All the mandalorian stories were so informative and the episode exceeded all expectations for me. So good…..:)
I’m so glad they’re not going with a rigid helmet for Grogu . That would be awkward for someone with big bendy ears not to mention his arms can’t reach the top of his head . Remember the spiders ? One of the guys on Blind Wave said it’ll probably be a coif and /or chainmail robe which would be perfect .
I think the Ringworld is named in the Descriptive Audio closed captioning. I forget the name. Gallox, or something similar sounding. I love the name of the episode. It seems to have had a double meaning. Din Djarin returns to bounty hunting, and he returns to Children of the Watch.
I do agree that there is a bit too much desert planets in Star Wars these days and the problem doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon because I assume Kenobi is probably gonna be mostly on tatooine too

Best Episode Boba is Din Jarin,Mando has that magic was waiting for you guys.
Given how tightly they're interweaving the live action series, I'm going to guess the naboo fighter is going to feature in Kenobi.
Yeah my guess is that Obi-Wan was the one that left it on Tatooine.
@@WriterusAeternus oooooo
Not just the Live action films and TV its the games, books, comics and cartoons as well. Lucasfilm/Star Wars is taking "Shared universe" to a whole new level. Krrsantan from the comics. BD droid from Fallen Order. Darksaber, Bo'Katan and Ahsoka from Clone wars, Rebels and now Mandalorian. Hera Sindula has appeared in Bad-batch, Rebels and Star wards squadrons, and quite possibly appeared in EP9 piloting the ghost.
It is rather impressive really.
@@WriterusAeternus letsss goo!!
I thought the same thing about Din Djarin faltering in the duel and rallying while thinking of Grogu, but I think it works better thematically that he perseveres when he drops the weapon and the dogma and moves faster without it to take Vizla's legs with little cuts.
I was at work when I watched this episode and really wanted to just scream, "EEEEKKKK" when Mando came in. 😂 I was so happy to see him.
No one:
Literally no one:
Agustin every 5 seconds: This is so f’ing cool you guys!
Love to see it
I didn't really even realize until you guys mentioned the one-take and how technically impressive it was that the entire head-delivery segment was likely heavily CGI, and I have *no* idea how much CGI the N-1 fighter was. It was all so seamless, even the droids and alien background characters just blended into "yeah, that looks right"; the whole test-run was absolutely gorgeous and again, almost entirely CGI. Their artists this season have really knocked it out of the park.
I agee DR, I had to go back and watch it again, 1 single shot.....amazing
I really love their willingness to mine everything in the lore for story and easter eggs. Going all the way back to KOTOR for the Tuskens, the prequels, the animated series, Fallen Order (BD), etc.
BD was a hit!
They really are blending EVERYTHING. Films, TV, games, books, comics and cartoons. Lucasfilm/Star Wars is taking "Shared universe" to a whole new level. Krrsantan from the comics. Fenic'Shan from Mando and clone wars. BD droid from Fallen Order. Darksaber, Bo'Katan and Ahsoka from Clone wars, Rebels and now Mandalorian. Hera Sindula has appeared in Bad-batch, Rebels and Star wards squadrons, quite possibly appeared in EP9 piloting the ghost.
I believe that Mando is going to become the next Jedi Mandolorian, it really seems they are steering him in that direction which is amazing and I want to see it
bd-1 i was so happy to see him
@@greenricky4782 other have said this, but I want him to have a BD droid like Cal did in fallen order
I’ve been waiting for this reaction since Wednesday and it did not disappoint. Keep up the good work!
Armormer: "Have you ever removed your helmet?"
Din Djarin: 😰... "See, what had happened was..."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then he just stops, shrugs his shoulders and says "my son needed to see me."
Not sure if you guys have ever considered it, but I for one would love to watch your reactions to Clone Wars and Rebels. So much of what happens in those shows is going to be key to events in the shows to come.
In any case, I love watching you all for your love of Star Wars, Marvel, and Invincible. Hope you guys continue to do reactions for as long as you enjoy doing so 💙
I second every word of that
yeah, they missing out on the whole lore of the Dark Saber in Rebels. We know what Din needs to do to make the Dark Saber lighter. This is where Luke can help him.
I love that these two shows are interwoven. Very good episode.
This CHANGED TV cinematic Storytelling HISTORY.. UNDERRATED & unprecedented, and most ppl don't even know
Jesus guys! I thought you had split up or something like that. Everytime I finish watching these episodes I come back running to the channel because it feels like I'm sharing thoughts and geeking out with my friends. This was by far the most exciting episode yet and it felt like forever waiting for the reaction haha
I agree. I checked every day this week. I saw it was up on Patreon, but damn, their Patreon says if it's the end of the month, consider signing up in a week or so at the first of the month so you don't get charged twice. Been waiting for this!
@@Skye_Writer Honestly, I’m just glad that you read that because many don’t, and then get mad at us for not telling them 🤷🏻♂️
I missed our Space Dad. I really hope Mando S3 will release this year. You think Din will run into a Mythosaur when he goes to Mandalore?
That would be amazing! Especially if he rides it!
@@matthollands7771 or boba helps teach him to ride it
@@matthollands7771 hell yeah! I feel like they hinted at that in this episode.
Boba has his Rancor to ride, Mando gets the Mythosaur, only fair.
They say that this episode actually was S3E1 from Mando, they added it just to tie the story with boba but by far one of the best episodes with the one from last week as well! You guys rock💪🏽
Bryce Dallas Howard directed this episode to perfection.
That is absolutely correct.
I think the reason they showed Mano checking the darksaber with security was to confirm to the audience he still had it after leaving the Mandolorian order.
This is the BEST deep cut on the Mandalorian lore ever in Star Wars.
"I almost said The Mandalorian"
Well.. You're not wrong.. XD
Note the spikes on her helmet. She's a devotee of Darth maul when he was Mandalore. She is Rook
Sweet Jesus never been this fast! Been looking forward to this all day
I love the way the describe the N-1 as being "bumpy" because that's how real planes feel. Cargo/passenger planes are designed to be stable and comfortable but the side effect is that they aren't super maneuverable. A F-16 fighter jet is designed specifically to be unstable in the air because it makes them more twitchy/maneuverable
8:35 The Armorer training session is reminiscent of Kanan training Sabine with the Dark Saber
The Ace Ventura 2 and sly "Charlie Murphy True Hollywood Stories" references had me laughing 🤣🤣
I just wanted Luke Skywalker to sit down next to Mando and be like, "You checked the Dark Saber?..."
I'm convinced that it's a ball/knob made of beskar with a beskar chain, to hang it on. Like some beskar bling.
I agree 100%
So happy someone else was thinking the same thing. That Purple Rain "waters of Lake Minnetonka joke" was the first thing I thought of 😂😅
Cheers
If you know, you know 🤷🏾♀️💜
DUDE !!!! She spoke JAWA!! That's AWESOME!
Thanks!
🔥🔥🔥
“He’s going to return to the waters of Lake Minnetonka… and have pancakes!” 🟣🌧
DED. 🤣😆😂😝
Adam needs to take the fellas on a journey through Rebels. there’s a little episode called Trials of the Darksaber they need to watch
And I’m a NEED the BTS for that one-shot, it was incredible
I was waiting too long for this reaction lol
I know what you guys mean about tapping into our memories of Star Wars. I haven't seen a prequel in ages but they exist in my memory. As the content of those films is referred to or built upon by other shows, those memories get updated. I wasn't a fan of the prequels when they came out (I'm late 40s) but they are becoming better movies because the story they are built on is growing like this.
Dave Filoni once said yeah we have space battles and cool characters, but "At the end of the day, Star Wars is about family"
Crazy how the best episode in the book of Boba Fett is all about the Mandalorian. It's amazing how attached I'm to the story of the Mandalorian only after this short while. this last episode could be truly epic. role on Wednesday. This is the Way.
At 3:13, I was like, “Did we just go to Ringworld? Are we going to see a Pierson’s Puppeteer next?”
Meta.
I absolutely love watching your reactions. It makes my day when I get the notification
I appreciate a man who can reference "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls"
I loved this episode...this was amazing, honestly, the attention to detail is incredible...fun fact- the "cryogenic density combustion booster", is the same thing that Luke used in the rubbish compactor with Han.....my star wars mind is blown.....This is the way !!
And they mentioned it was from the Pykes spice train that Boba derailed.
Did you notice the pole that the jawas got for mando, was the same thing that Han used to try and stop the trash compactor.
Theories:
Lake Minnetonka and some pancakes😂😂 From someone who's lived in Minnesnowta his whole life, that was gold
This episode was such a delight, as a newer Star Wars fan I'm enjoying this show more than I thought I would cause I have no previous attachment to Boba Fett. I've seen the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy but not the prequels, yet.
When he says might could be, thats a callback to Cowboys and Aliens
I love that the X-Wing pilot is the dad from Kim's Convenience hahaha
And the music when that ship came out………..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"I almost said The Mandalorian"
Well, you wouldn't be wrong lol
Took 5 weeks and episodes to get to see badass Boba Fett kicking ass and collecting a bounty as we hoped he would in his show in the opening of The Return of the King Mandalorian
Love the big Terminator call back from Bryce Dallas Howard who was herself in a Terminator movie!
I didn't know the wachutus were biters!!…. Bruuuuuhhh hella funny. Great video guys. BDH killed it in this episode. Best one so far this season. Can’t wait for the last 2.
I thought I would never find this comment! BumbleBee Tuna to you my friend.
"It's an N1 starfighter!"
Mando: "does it come in black?"
That megastructure at the beginning is a Dyson Ring.
Adam at the start: 'I almost said The Mandalorian'
...little did he know
Mando is going to go see his little friend, give him the 🎁 and luke will train mando in how to use the dark saber
Can Luke train someone who is not a youngling or a Jedi Knight
I’m so glad they’re not going with a rigid helmet for Grogu . That would be awkward for someone with big bendy ears not to mention his arms can’t reach the top of his head . Remember the spiders ? One of the guys on Blind Wave said it’ll probably be a coif and /or chainmail robe which would be perfect .
That remixed theme when din was inspecting the ship was nostalgic
I think the Ringworld is named in the Descriptive Audio closed captioning. I forget the name. Gallox, or something similar sounding.
I love the name of the episode. It seems to have had a double meaning. Din Djarin returns to bounty hunting, and he returns to Children of the Watch.
I do agree that there is a bit too much desert planets in Star Wars these days and the problem doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon because I assume Kenobi is probably gonna be mostly on tatooine too
