All the Phantom Menace easter eggs just made this amazing. I mean hell, I don't think ANY of us thought we'd ever see the Naboo Starfighter again, so to see it just makes me so happy.
Mando with Razor Crest: "I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold." Mando with new ship: "Sorry, no room for passengers. I'll just take your head."
I don’t think Luke would enforce the “no attachments” thing that strictly, because he saw a prime example of how that could go horribly wrong with his dad. There have been Mandalorian Jedi before. He probably knows there’s no reason there can’t be one again.
If they really do go the route of making Luke's new jedi order with different rules than the Prequel era Jedi Order, then Luke would probably allow Din to see Grogu again.
cool but also tells you he isnt as ruthless as old Boba was. Boba was/is a legend for a reason. The bounty would have been set on fire the moment he showed resistance if old Boba was involved
If Mando is really going to go visit Grogu and Luke. We might even get live action Cal Kestis as well. Perhaps he's now one of the instructors along side Luke.
With the new game just announced, they'll have their stories planned out if he is going to appear, as that'll change the impact of the game if we know he survives.
@@soumyajoypal9359 they fought together, along with Shand, in The Tragedy episode of The Mandalorian. But I guess that doesn't count, since it was against cannon fodder Storm Troopers. Lol.
@@AFC-ef4gs I think Mando will be back in the finale and they're gonna have a real team up this time, and I'm sure we'll also see more cameos. It'd be interesting if Mando brought Luke to help without knowing that it's Boba he's gonna be helping. Also hoping for Cad Bane, Bossk, etc
If we're going to see Grogu we could potentially see Boba Fett meeting Luke post Return of the Jedi. How would he react? Would he try to get revenge or will he just be all "No hard feelings, it was just business."?
It's all just business. There's no reason Bobba would fight Luke. It's in the past and Luke beat him fair and square. And aslo, it'd be foolish to fight the strongest Jedi of that time.
I love the throwback to The Phantom Menace!! The Naboo fighter, and the cruise along the old pod race tracks are just perfect!! I love that the Naboo fighter configured into what is a custom muscle car, an little did Mando know a little kid single handedly took down a ship with just a Naboo fighter
I'd love for Mando to have his own episode in every one of the new spinoffs, just like this, in just any one season, just once, at a time, when his own show is off air, because he kinda started this whole 'new' 'old' universe. It should be called the Mandoverse.
Bryce Dallas Howard is so, SO good at what she does. I was bummed this wasn’t really a BoBF ep, but it was still awesome! The N1 and the BD unit were highlights for me.
I love the nods to other franchises like Terminator, Game of Thrones, and even Jurassic Park! But the Episode 01 references are the ones that got me. I have always loved the N1 Starfighter design from Naboo and it's really nice to see the Pod Race track again. oh and yes, a BD unit from Fallen Order!
"right off the bat!" Well, as the guys over on pReview'd are so fond of saying, if this show has taught us anything, it's that they don't hold back; they just "do the thing."
If the Naboo fighter VFX is anything like the Razorcrest, then most of it was done using a practical scale model with CGI only used when it had to be. Like the ship rising out the of the docking bay looks like a practical model.
Mando with that Dark Saber! The scene of Night Of 1000 Tears epic! Too bad about the spear but it's a gift for Grogu. All the lore, references on Tatooine and the Starfighter! Thank you Bryce, Favreau & Filoni! 2 to go!
"I feel like he's gonna have challengers." "Once people know you have it you will be challenged." Kanan Jarrus talking to Sabine in Rebels while training her with the Dark Saber. Which was heavy for her at first but the more she attuned to it's crystal, it became lighter.
Couple cool things about Luke: 1) He is a local Tatooine boy. The affairs of Tatooine will interest him. 2) he is a complete fighter/mechanic nerd, The N1 will have him peeing his pants. 3) Attachments schmattachments - he is training the solo children and a few other force sensitives who are in regular contact with their parents. Luke is running a boarding school, not a temple. Grogo wants to go home for Summer vacation/ Harvest time/ Holiday drug war? - no problem. 4) Betcha a dollar he still has Obi-Wan's training floater and we will see Grogu and/or Mando training with it at some point.
Mando having a droid part of his "crew/clan" would be amazing!!!! Albeit with his new ship, it'd definitely have to be a small droid like BD. I feel like a Mouse droid would work too (we don't have a lot of appearances & fame-focus on Mouse droids as of yet); I could even imagine seeing Grogu riding on top of a Mouse droid as it zooms & rolls/drives around on the ground; and since it's about the same size as Grogu, the could even possible out-fit it so that Grogu could hide inside the Mouse droid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:19 My thoughts exactly! If he wields the Darksaber, doesn't that make him the guy in charge and he can reset the rules? And who the hell is this chick to tell him otherwise? BTW: Love the WWDITS t-shirt!
Just like Ahsoka may not meet the technical book definition of a Jedi, but still is one in spirit, mastery and principle, Mando will probably learn that he is still a Mandalorian regardless of what the Armourer said and will realize he does not actually need to redeem himself. Maybe he will now learn more about true Mandalorians from Bo-Katan. LOL...I love how those X-wing pilots still seem to act like they have the most boring job ever.
19:30 The Phantom Menace: "Now THIS is podracing!" -Anakin Skywalker as he escapes while single handedly taking down a Trade Federation ship. A New Hope: "Just like Beggar's Canyon back home." -Luke Skywalker during the Death Star trench run Book of Boba Fett: "Wizard." -Mando after piloting his custom classic.
excellent episode. bdh killed it, was lookin forward to this chapter and she didnt dissapoint. i had the same jaw dropping reaction as robert when mando cut thru the guy on the table.
I was looking at the end credits to see who played the new X-wing piolet. Max Lloyd-Jones. He was the body double for Luke in the finale for season 2 of The Mandalorian. Does this mean we'll see Luke again in the next episode of The Book of Boba Fett? And will there be an improvement on the CGI?

@@unknown-1470 Absolutely, the story telling has been very uneven up to this point. For me, the best episode has been 2 and, in truth, Boba Fett was really immaterial in a way. The strength was the Tuskens.
Luke’s attachment to his friends and sister made him leave Yoda during training to save them. He bested the dark side and his father did as well. I’m sure Luke understands attachment can make a Jedi stronger.
He is fighting the saber. As in they are molding the Mandalorian to be the next Jedi/Mandalore. He needs to wield it with his spirit or force. Become one with the blade. Since they showed a droid similar to what Cal Kestis, will Cal be the one who saved Grogu from the jedi academy?
This episode could have been the first episode of a new season of Mando. But by sliding it into the Book of Boba. then the viewers are fully caught up before the new season of Mando. Overall a good idea to have slide this in.
I knew he was gonna be missing Grogu. He has a reason or excuse to go see him now with some armor for him but I also think he needs a lesson in lightsaber dueling and obviously the best user that he has seen was Luke.
