"Why is he so f*****g angry?" - He misses Grogu. His life is empty. He's broken, at loose ends, and he doesn't know what to do with his life. Now he's bringing them in cold because he just doesn't care anymore. The man needs some love.
The Darksaber reminds me a lot of the Elder Wand from Harry Potter: Both have to be won in combat in order for anyone to stake a claim, and it seems like users that aren’t worthy have trouble using it to full capacity.
now that you think about it, star wars came before, and harry potter is very similar story wise to it (see erb luke vs harry to see), so it kinda makes sense that that would be there, i guess
This comment reminds me of a fic on AO3 called "Clan of Three" where Din goes to Earth to lay low after a job gone sideways, meets 5 year old Harry, hears how his relatives treat him and Dine decides to make Harry a foundling. It's really good, really cute, and gets even better when Grogu enters the picture.
Anyone else been looking forward to this since the episode dropped and refreshing youtube all afternoon? I know I’m not the only one. This episode was so good! I missed Mando, both the show and the character so much that I didn’t start to miss Boba until the end. It felt like an episode of Mando s3 and I have 0 complaints. Though Din needs to work on his dark saber game a bit. He needs a jedi to help him with the mental aspect. He also needs Boba and Fennick to help him find his way again after being kicked out of his clan. But omg that scene where Din was holding Grogu’s present on the commercial ship while looking at the Rodian child while that music from chapter 13 played hit me right in the feels. He misses his baby so much! But Grogu next episode guys! Can’t wait! Also can we just acknowledge that Din is a total flyboy at heart? He was totally having the time of his life and embracing his inner reckless teenager while buzzing around in that N1 starfighter. It made my heart happy.
Mando couldn't lie to save his position as a Mandalorian after removing his helmet by free will. He will find the way back as a true Mandalorian in Season 3, I'm sure of it. And seeing a BD Droid raises interesting theories regarding *Fallen Order.*
It is not BD-1 from Fallen Order. But it is a BD unit none the less and it shows that Cal is out there somewhere. Also the Armorer is more just a smith. They are also the keepers of the histories of Mandalore and their influence surpasses the houses of old.
Or he'll have to stamp out his covert when they become the main villains and hunt him down for the Dark Saber, I mean they are what remains of Death Watch, and the armorer still wears the Darth Maul spikes from the final season of The Clone Wars.
@@fantomlimbs That would be troublesome and I wouldn't pass Jon Favrou & Dave Filoni going towards that direction following the Mandalore conflicts from Clone Wars and Rebels. Is a good idea.
#ThisIsTheWay This episode showed me several things. 1st thing is that Din Djarin has earned his place within the Star Wars family(all, except the ST and Solo) and as for Grogu, he earned his place within the SW family in the very first episode in The Mandalorian. 2nd thing is that Din is finding out that it is easier to be a bounty hunter then learning how to wield the Darksaber(it has history and the title of ruler of Mandalore within it) and Sabine from Rebels had the same trouble with the Darksaber when she had it and they pay homage to that. Also Paz Vizsla(that Brute Mandalorian is a member of House Vizsla and so his claim had more merit then even Din did). But after he told the Armorer about removing his helmet he was branded an apostate(Because they’re creed dictates under no circumstances are they to remove the helmet and they mean it) and the Armorer is more then just a smith, they are the keepers of the histories of Mandalore(itself and their former enemies like the Jedi once where) and they have more influence over the even the houses themselves within the Mandalorian culture. But Din now has to go to the “Mines of Mandalore” and be “ baptized“ and be a “born again Mandalorian”. In the end Din is owning up to the favor to Boba after what he did to help fight against Moff Gideon. 3rd thing is that the N-1 Starfighter being a piece of junk and then being upgraded, souped up and redesigned into a vintage masterpiece(any mechanic knows that feeling) and we know that the back cockpit is now a passenger seat for someone of the green variety(we all know it) and anyone who is a parent knows what Din is going through and that he misses his “son”(Grogu) and he wants to give him a gift(I wonder what it is though?). Also that test run brings back memories of the pod race in episode 1. Final thing is that Bryce Dallas Howard can direct!!!!!!
Why would the Armorer suddenly ask if they removed their helmets? Is that part of the ritual of a duel or did she sense that Mando was uneasy because he had strayed from the "way"?
Except the covert is based on the Watch's (Death Watch) version of "the Way," which they're technically a group of extremists that broke away from Mandalore. Even so he's still a Mandalorian so he should forget about them and their version of "the Way."
I believe there's more depth to it. She did it to prevent her last 2 members from killing each other for sable. Also by doing this we may especulate about the mandalorian S3 plot. Maybe a self discovery plot? like kung fu panda 3 ? " If i'm not mandalorian then what am I ? "
It's part of their ritual creed. She asked the same after a dispute in S1 or S2, cant remember, but it is specific to the deathwatch only (the cult mando, the armorer and the other guy follow, not the rest of the mandalorians).
She knows because he had trouble wielding the darksaber when he should have been able to use it effectively. He was conflicted about his status as a mandalorian and the darksaber sensed it. Paz Vizla was also doubting his status as a mandalorian because mando got it first. Which is why they fought.
Thanks for meticulously interlacing the reactions. I love how everyone loves The father and son bond between Din and Grogu, and really love and appreciate Grogu. There are some toxic antis out there. Plus, I love how humor is captured in these compilations. Made me laugh so many times. It's also great to learn even more about Star Wars from these awesome nerds. The best thing is that these people all have positive energy and watching them just enhances the experience of watching even more. Thanks for your hard work! Btw, the scenes where Mando always evades that X-Wing pilot is hilarious. I expect that they will become friends in the future episodes.
This made me love the episode more seeing all these happy reactions. While I haven’t been that invested in the previous episodes, I am happy that casual fans really like it. Just don’t be a dick when people don’t agree with you, we all have opinions
I do like how Din wasn’t the best with the Darksaber. Sabine had some training with it thanks to Kanan, Pre Vizla had lots of experience using it, and Maul was one of the most skilled lightsaber duelists of his day.Din just got it from a schemer. He’s not going to beat well-trained warriors with it just yet. *cough* Marey Sue. *cough*
Love these weekly reaction compilations. One of the cutest moments of the show for me was something I don’t think many people noticed. I loved the BD droid chasing that little rodent/scurrier (sp?) around the shop. It was happening “downstage” of Mando’s conversation with Pelli about the simulator and the Jawas finding parts. It was so cute. The scurrier was sneaking around and BD kept hearing it then going after it….while Mando and Pelli were talking. Great bit of added nuance and layering. Loved it. The Armorer’s statement about the Dark Saber being “a more noble weapon” for the Mando to wield… made me think she has a sense that he’s the one meant to have it. Regarding his ship…I also thought it was too small and questioned where he’d put the bounties he hunted. Now I think….maybe he’s not meant to do that anymore. Maybe he has a higher calling (raising Grogu, restoring Mandalore) and he won’t need to bounty hunt anymore. 🤷🏾♀️ Maybe he’s meant to evolve. We’ve already seen him change. S1 he was shooting droids and firing flames at Jawas for scrapping his ship. Now he’s working alongside droids, thanking them and calling them them “little guy”…..and bargaining with Jawas, negotiating with them and having them get parts for his new ship. So he’s already evolving. Lastly, I chuckled at Mando’s confusion when Pelli tried to explain what the Jawas do. Pell: Tatooine is a garden of many bounties. Mando: I don’t understand. Pelli: I gave ‘‘em a list. Mando: of parts???🤔 Pelli: Yeah. Mando: And they find them for you??? Pelli: I don’t ask…they don’t tell. LOL! Did he not know Jawas are scavengers and they basically go around selling the stuff they find (coughstealcough) ? LOL. His incredulity was funny.
This episode confirmed so many things , we will see Mandalore in live action, Grogu (and young Luke for a longer time) and also that Mando still has the dark saber which especially makes me happy since I hate the idea of Bo having it lol
yeah he only went back to his old ways this episode because he doesn't have grogu, but i'm sure he's gonna realise real quick that grogu had a positive impact on him and want him back
While watching this episode for the first time, I began to have a feeling of what the overarching theme of Book of Boba Fett could be. And now I’m thinking that it may echo in season 3 of The Mandalorian. I think Boba, Fennec, and Din are going to go on journeys of self-discovery and identity. They will have to decide for themselves who they will be. Whether they take others’ opinions and expectations of who they’re supposed to be or meant to be into account is up to them. The Armorer said that Din is no longer a Mandalorian because he removed his helmet, but remember that Bo-Katan said the Children of the Watch (who raised Din) were a religious cult. He may no longer be a Mandalorian in their eyes, but he may go to Mandalore and decide for himself what kind of Mandalorian he’ll be.
Well yeah. Din has been on that journey for a while, having his beliefs being brought into question where ever he goes. Boba's had to completely re-invent himself since he fell in the Sarlaac, and his time with the Tuskens moulded him into something else.
It's funny in a way. The Children of the Watch are just a splintered faction of Deathwatch. Even though Bo Katan left that group in way it's still ironic
It's awesome to see star Wars fans happy again. Thanks John and Dave, and a huge thanks to George Lucas for creating it all to begin with. Edit: BDH...... Well done. 😎
The purpose of that episode was twofold: (1) Deepen the link between BoBF & The Mandalorian, (2) Establish the "Quests" for S3. I expect regular crossovers between the sbows.
Whilst I liked the inclusion of Mando in the Book of Boba Fett I didn't expect him to take over an entire episode and a half when there were only 7 episodes in total!

So it seems to me that season 3 of the mandalorian will be centered around Din DJarin going to mandalore to become a mandalorian again, and seeing grogu again. And hopefully get a new Razorcrest made out of Beskar.
After he leaves the covert and goes to board the trans ship, when the droid tries to get him to dump his weapons, Din says, "I'm a Mandalorian, weapons are part of my religion." He still believes he's a Mandalorian. Helmet or not.
Woooow they low key solved the implications of space travel The further you go, the faster time moves relative to the location you were at previously but since they said flux compasator (if it's the same as back to the future) means that every use hyperspace travel not only allows them to travel but also correct their placement in time, therefor you don't have to wonder why no one ages ever

When he said the droid was going straight to eBay with Mando's trunk, I lost my shit 😆🤣😆😂😆😆
"Why is he so f*****g angry?" - He misses Grogu. His life is empty. He's broken, at loose ends, and he doesn't know what to do with his life. Now he's bringing them in cold because he just doesn't care anymore. The man needs some love.
This is one of the most creative reactor compilation I've ever watched. Much better than a thousand voices talking all at once XD
The Darksaber reminds me a lot of the Elder Wand from Harry Potter: Both have to be won in combat in order for anyone to stake a claim, and it seems like users that aren’t worthy have trouble using it to full capacity.
now that you think about it, star wars came before, and harry potter is very similar story wise to it (see erb luke vs harry to see), so it kinda makes sense that that would be there, i guess
are you saying din of all people out of the remaining mandalorians isnt worthy?? DIN????
I was just thinking that!
@@styletyany7124 He doesn’t want the blade so it rejects him.
When this episode came out I literally thought to myself "I can't wait for Johnny’s video"
2:05 Oh that's awesome, mixing the Mandalorian theme with Boba Fett's theme, I LOVE THAT!!
You really have a gift for selecting and assembling the best clips of reactions.
The whole “I dated a Jawa” interlude is AMAZING 😂
And Bryce Dallas Howard following in dad's footsteps??? Epic
Some of the best Star Wars I've ever seen. Everyone associated with this episode should be proud.
I look forward to this particular channel and the reactions just as much as the actual episode dropping! 😃🎈
#ThisIsTheWay
This episode showed me several things.
Solo was great lol
@@ANovicePro Yep so great that it lost money and revealed that whoever was in charge didn't know Han Solo or Star Wars for that matter.
0:07 Anyone else think this guy always has the best reactions?
PwHustle is his name. Check out his page.
Why would the Armorer suddenly ask if they removed their helmets? Is that part of the ritual of a duel or did she sense that Mando was uneasy because he had strayed from the "way"?
I believe it is part of the ritual. In season one Din got into a dispute with another Mandalorian and the Armorer gave the same type of speech
This whole episode felt like an episode of The Mandalorian. But I ain’t complaining!

This made me love the episode more seeing all these happy reactions. While I haven’t been that invested in the previous episodes, I am happy that casual fans really like it. Just don’t be a dick when people don’t agree with you, we all have opinions
This was such a guilty pleasure episode I loved it
I do like how Din wasn’t the best with the Darksaber.
Mando: of parts???🤔
Pelli: Yeah.
Mando: And they find them for you???
Pelli: I don’t ask…they don’t tell.
LOL! Did he not know Jawas are scavengers and they basically go around selling the stuff they find (coughstealcough) ? LOL. His incredulity was funny.
Fennec: "Looking for work?"
Din: "I could be. What's the bounty?"
Fennec: "No bounty. Our show needs more entertainment value."
There wouldn't be a Book of Boba Fett without Mandalorian.
There probably wouldn’t be a Mandolorian without Boba Fett character in the original movies. Full circle.

This episode confirmed so many things , we will see Mandalore in live action, Grogu (and young Luke for a longer time) and also that Mando still has the dark saber which especially makes me happy since I hate the idea of Bo having it lol
I've a feeling Mando won't be transporting prisoners. He'll be too busy being king of Mandolore.
Kind of surprised how many people think season 3 Din is still going to be a bounty hunter. I think it's possible that ship is all he needs.
yeah he only went back to his old ways this episode because he doesn't have grogu, but i'm sure he's gonna realise real quick that grogu had a positive impact on him and want him back
@@dankerbell I think he only did that one job to get the information on where the other Mandos were
I absolutely LOVE the sound of the Dark Saber when it is activated / deactivated
People love their Mando, what can we say?! 🤷🏼♂️
Absolutely the BEST episode of Book of Boba Fett so far ! I was missing Mando so so so happy for his return ❤
It's awesome to see star Wars fans happy again. Thanks John and Dave, and a huge thanks to George Lucas for creating it all to begin with.
Edit: BDH...... Well done. 😎
That initial Darksaber ignition. Perfect angle and timing.
The purpose of that episode was twofold: (1) Deepen the link between BoBF & The Mandalorian, (2) Establish the "Quests" for S3.
I expect regular crossovers between the sbows.
If this ain’t a teaser for Mandalorian season 3. Then I don’t know what the hell will be.
Whilst I liked the inclusion of Mando in the Book of Boba Fett I didn't expect him to take over an entire episode and a half when there were only 7 episodes in total!
I'm loving this show! Dave and John are AWESOME,,, Thank you!!!!!
I can't unheard that thing screaming, "Wootini!" at climax.
And now neither can you.

4:57-5:44 Flashback/The story of The Night Of The Thousands Tears.
5:45-6:27 Making an armor for grogu.

So it seems to me that season 3 of the mandalorian will be centered around Din DJarin going to mandalore to become a mandalorian again, and seeing grogu again. And hopefully get a new Razorcrest made out of Beskar.
Hopefully he gets something bigger than a Razor Crest, something he can dock that N-1 into.
Maybe the light cruiser from season 2
After he leaves the covert and goes to board the trans ship, when the droid tries to get him to dump his weapons, Din says, "I'm a Mandalorian, weapons are part of my religion."
He still believes he's a Mandalorian. Helmet or not.
To the guy who said that all the guys looked like they were from Philly though, that was hilarious 😂
I like how we are all disappointed when the episode ends.
Woooow they low key solved the implications of space travel
The further you go, the faster time moves relative to the location you were at previously but since they said flux compasator (if it's the same as back to the future) means that every use hyperspace travel not only allows them to travel but also correct their placement in time, therefor you don't have to wonder why no one ages ever
This episode is so good. Watched countless reactions to it
The Destruction of Mandalore was like Order 66.
TBF, a united Mandalor on the war path can rattle the galaxy. Palpatine wanted all resistance eliminated, and the Mandalorian warriors could certainly resist.

The shadow, his music cue, the entrance. Yes, yes, and yes!
They thought they didn’t have enough content for the whole season so they just straight up made an episode of the mandalorian but put in on Boba Fett instead of his show
This episode was amazing .
Been waiting for this video to drop . Great work as usual.
This is the way !
13:29 I guess I'm not as big a Star Wars fan as I thought. I didn't even notice this. lol
I love the collective reactions. Especially to the ones with The Mandalorian. It gives me more insight into the characters. Boba Fett returned in The Mandalorian thus it's only right that The Mandalorian return the Book of Boba Fett. Watching this episode again this way also gave me a little more insight into the Religious Sect that came out of Death Watch that believe their way of being a Mandalorian is the only Way. This Is The Way.
Great compilation. No matter what anyone says, I’m loving TBoBF; however, this was The Mandalorian 3.0 and it was EPIC!!!
We need Grogu to heal Mandalorian's leg.
I think the bacta spray did a good job.
