We just got the biggest justice story with Ahmed Best showing up in this. So glad he was the one chosen to save Grogu rather than some “thought to be dead” character. He deserved this role after all he went through.
I wouldn't even say its a redemption story for Ahmed Best, its justice for him and recognition for all his work and turmoil he's gone through. If its a redemption for anyone, its hopefully a redemption for the fandom and how they treat people. He really deserved this role and it definitely is a momentously powerful moment that got my eyes watery.
@@Megaproductions302 redemption is for those who harassed Ahmed (and George,) which I doubt will ever happen. I doubt the majority of them think they did anything wrong.
Kelleran Beq was the Jedi master in charge of helping younglings in the temple, so it makes sense that he was the one saving Grogu. The sad part was when the Naboo Guard asked if there were others... they were going to save all the younglings. So happy for Ahmed!
I believe the Armorer's reaction to Bo's telling of the Mythosaur isn't because the Armorer didn't get it. I think she *knew* that the Mythosaur was there. The Armorer's role in their society is shamanic as well as technological. It wouldn't surprise me if she is carrying verbal histories passed through the lineages, and is very aware of the Mythosaur's existence, as well as its meaning.
Well she just play the part of shaman but I feel like it's telling a priest you say Jesus Ah like yes Jesus appears to us all but no I actually say him walk down my sidewalk Yes yes of course If that makes sense
But we never know who the armorer is but i have to believe it will be sabine because we have ashoka tano plus admiral trall is alive so those erza but i be shock if mando got train by none other sabine or erza i be happy dying
"This is The Way" has taken on so much more meaning in the past 2 episodes. When Din says it to Bo when she speaks about her father dying defending Mandalore he's saying "Your father was a great warrior." When Din says it to Paz after saving his son he's saying "We are all family." and when the Armorer says it to Bo about her seeing the Mythosaur she's saying "You were meant to see it." Bo is truly learning that becoming the Mandalore is deeper than just sitting on the throne. There is a reason she wielded the Darksaber with such ease!!!
Interesting how The Armorer referred to Vizla’s son as a foundling. This suggests that the young boy adopted into the Covert in much the same way Jedi adopt young candidates. The episode had symmetry, too. Bo-Katan saved a Mandalorian foundling, and Kelleran Beq saved a Jedi foundling. They did not escape in Padme’s ship because she used hers to travel to Mustafar. I suspect that they escaped in Senator Jar-Jar Binks’ official shuttle.
lol what about ragnar though? lol first he gets his ass handed to him by some green lump in a sack and then gets abducted and swallowed by some flying monster
@@MrMcbear nice catch. He is reminiscing about his past, only future episodes will show if he moves on completely. It's like most Force sensitive characters in star wars, they face their pasts and decide where to go from there.
Even though Ragnar was pretty arrogant when facing Grogu, he was at least honorable enough to choose a weapon that Grogu could actually use instead of a quarterstaff or something.
It's like when grown-ups make you play with a little kid, of course you go easy on them. But the Mando lesson is probably to not underestimate your opponent.
You see how Din, Bo, Paz and the Armorer dynamics are shifting, which can lead to them uniting and evolving the Watch. I was giddy the whole time. To see where Katee has taken her character is so fascinating and it enriches my viewings of TCW, Rebels & Mando S2 even more now. very cool that Carl Weathers directed it. Interesting. "Kelleran Beq nicknamed "The Sabered Hand," was a human male Jedi Master who served in the Jedi Order. He was often assisted by the protocol droid AD-3 and the astromech droid LX-R5, and served aboard the starship Athylia. During the Siege of the Jedi Temple, Beq successfully escaped the temple with the aid of sympathetic Royal Naboo Security Forces members, fleeing Coruscant "

Funny thing is they literally just copy/pasted that information from Wikifandom, I didn't know who it was canon wise just thought they were giving Ahmed some deserved justice which was cool but I had to search for more information, and read word for word what this person laid out on the website.
@@Ithekro Its possible but my understanding is that chrome plated ships are specifically for royalty, aside from the one gifted to padme from her successor for her service to naboo. Of course being Jar-Jar would be absolutely epic, and it is possible he has one as a representative for the Queen.
Respect to those Naboo Guardsmen. They pretty much KNEW they were done for, but they gave it all just to help Kelleran and Grogu escape. Also, who sent them..? Best theory I've heard? They were sent by Senator Binks.
So the fan theory that Jar Jar saved Grogu was actually true (from a certain point of view) getting Ahmed Best as Jedi Master Kelleran Beq saving Grogu was awesome! And seeing Grogu doing literally ANYTHING from training to walking is so cute that my heart almost bursts. Also the whole rescue of Ragnar Visla looked and felt like it was right out of the movies. And after seeing the Armorer forge armor for both Grogu and Bo-Katan I have a sudden urge to forge my own set of Mandalorian armor. Carl Weathers made one of the best episodes of the series with The Foundling. I just wish that this episode was longer, these episodes are becoming far to short.
Nah you guys didn't get it at the end, the armorer has seen it herself too, she nodded and then said "this is the way" not to mention she has been to the waters herself as she has the water in the cauldron
Man, Grogu was a youngling in the Jedi order and that was decimated by Order 66. Now, he's a foundling in what's left of a Mandalorian collective and probably fears it might happen again.
I love that Bo has kind of become Grogu's mom. Or aunt. I googled what a rondel is. Its a piece of circular armor used for extra protection. It was typically located in the armpit a common armor weak point. I honestly thought Bo was going to get in trouble for losing a piece of her armor. I hope the person they were taking Grogu to was like Sabé. Imagine if we got a Keira Knightley cameo. I honestly think the Armorer is my favorite all time Star Wars character. A smith priestess, that's just awesome!!!
If this were D&D 5e, the Armorer would be a Forge-domain cleric! (Din is a hunter-subclass ranger.)😉 Seriously, though, she is the spiritual center of the Tribe, so she is, essentially, their priest.
I really hope Ahmed sees a lot of these reactions like Bryce Dallas Howard did for the episode of BoBF she directed, he deserves to see this well-earned outpouring of love.
Agree. Armorer is very much going to come to a reckoning with the rest of the Watch when they find out the secrets she has been keeping. I think she will end up as a sacrificial offering to the effort of making a New Mandalore. She won’t be able to tolerate a new Way of living.
The Naboo ship is Jar Jar's. Remember, at that time, he is a Naboo senator. And having Ahmed Best saving grogu in jar jar's ship is actually going full circle
There’s so much great stuff to talk about in regards to this episode. Many commenters here have covered them already. But I just need to say, Ragnar Vizla is the DOPEST Star Wars name I’ve heard in a while. 😆👏🏽

Like augustin i didn’t know who Ahmed was but after reading about his story portraying as jar jar, the backlash and then the Jedi temple challenge it’s so honorable
My theory is that it was Jar Jar's personal ship. As a senatorial rep on Coruscant, he likely had his own transport and guards. This would also tie into the rejected plot line of him rescuing younglings from the temple. In this scenario, he still saved one, in more ways than one.
I hope people cosplay as Kelleran Beq at conventions. It was so great seeing him back again. I'm not surprised that Filoni & Favreau brought the actor back. It was so nice to see all the love he's getting and rightfully deserve.
I hope we get a Star Wars Gallery episode where they talk to and spotlight Ahmed Best! What a great way to bring him back and show him the love he deserves!
Yay!! Been waiting all day for y'alls vid. Seeing Ahmed Best made me so happy. Especially after seeing Hector...I mean Pershing...getting his mind flayed last week totally bummed me out.
Glad to see Ahmed Best finally get some justice. This season has been great and I can't get enough of it. Tear up my man card, I was teary eyed when Grogu finally got his sigil. If Grogu's first words are "this is the way" I am going to lose it. LOL
They're definitely laying the tracks for Grogu to speak and get a helmet this season. I'm really loving the expansion of his family to Mommy Bo and Auntie Armorer.
He could've taken Grogu anywhere. Someone had a plan setup because the guards asked where the others were, & I hope it was Padme. It sounds like they had a destination pre-determined, can't wait for next week & sooo happy for Ahmed. #BePeace
I bet it's their pride as a warrior tribe that makes them stay their since the original mandalorians could cultavate mandalore these should be able to handle this planet.
Grogu wasnt playing with the crabs he was holding them in place and concentrating so he could hold all of them. Notice how all the crabs start to leave once he is gone and no longer concentrating
I like how the monsters are still being depicted as "animals" in fantasy, not just monsters out to kill people for no reason. 4:25 in this instance that bat-dragon thing was clearly an ambush type predator since you can assume that it was waiting the the mountain top until one strayed away from the pack
love this episode like last week. It is freaking AWESOME AF that Ahmed Best is back. Freaking had tears when Kelleran Beq showed up and total badass with the sabers. And as for toxic idiots, i think its hilarious when they say oh why do you like this crap for, i think of it like this, if you dont like it, then there is the front door. Get yo ass out of our fun time and enjoyment. Cant wait till next week.
Ahmed Best showing up was so awesome. I was almost gonna cry. Reading what he's been through, hearing him talk about it to now this incredible role in the history of the Mandalorian. Amazing
BEST cameo. Honestly this beats Ahsoka and Luke for me, beats Boba Fett, this man deserved so much more respect than he got and he's finally getting it! So fucking happy for Ahmed!
Okay perspective time. Grogu is only a little bigger than a rondelle. That piece of armor hangs off the shoulder on a set of armor and is designed to protect the armpit.
I like the fan theory that Jar Jar Binks sent Kelleran Beq to take Grogu back to the safety of Naboo where the three of them will bond over eating frogs.
The amount of shit that Ahmed Best went through, to be as close as he was to ending his own life, it's not enough that he got to be the one who saved Grogu. His first words on screen could have very well been to his younger self or anyone who needs that voice of reassurance. "Everything's gonna be alright, kid." It's beautiful. It's perfect! Huge W for Ahmed and for Star Wars!!!
"Star Wars is made for Star Wars fans for them to complain about it" Well, except when it's somewhat good. Mandalorian and Andor are to extremely different concepts and both are really beloved since they are quality products.
Refreshing to hear reactors being grateful and enthusiastic about all the different aspects of Star Wars - there's enough variety out there to please everyone! Great review and love for Ahmed and Carl especially!
Agustin, thank you for your comment about people who complain about Star Wars. I enjoy watching the reactions but get annoyed (to put it mildly) with those who complain about every little thing (the CGI sucks, why are they on this planet, why didn't so and so do this or that). As if they could do better. I saw a New Hope when it came out in 77 (I was 27 at the time), and although I never got into the comics, I've enjoyed everything Star Wars brings to my world (maybe with the exception of JarJar, who really annoyed me at the beginning). People, just sit back and enjoy the magical world your saw then and now.
If we ever get a next gen grogu series, I want it to be a joke that the kid gets jumped by the wildlife at least once a season for the rest of his life.
An early upload?! Yes please & Thank you!! What an episode, Carl Weathers directing it are you kidding me wow! The flashback of Grogu was wow and the fact that Ahmed Best saving him & being a Jedi?! What-a redemption from all the slack from freaking Jar Jar Binks, right?! Do you guys think that the reason probably why Grogu at times can be a bit timid is from trauma from order 66 because he was very little age wise when this happened some PTSD? Also did anyone notice the crabs that were close to Grogu, mind you he didn’t use the force, (I don’t think he did) but because the force is within him, I think life around him can feel and sense the force because if you notice when Goku left, the crabs went back to where they came! I believe Grogu Jedi powers are way powerful that even he doesn’t realize yet. Again great episode!!
Ahmed Best being the Jedi that saved Grogu, was the best cameo in the series so far! I know a lot of people won’t agree, but I got so emotional when I saw it was him and he deserved this moment ! I’m hoping we see more of him in future episodes and they better make an action figure!!!
Kelleran Beq escaped using a Naboo Senate Starship. The two Senators from Naboo were Padme and Jar Jar... We know what Padme was doing during order 66... Did Jar Jar work with Kelleran to save the child???
I personally think this was a way better option than bringing back someone from the dead (dont get me wrong, windu would've been cool) but it would've made the whole word seem kinda goofy. As if EVERYONE has a chance to come back from the dead. And it wasnt another jedi we kinda already know/have some form a relationship with. I'm sure 90% of people , star wars fans included, didn't watch the Jedi challenges show. But I think it'll bring more traction to it now. This was amazing. Ahmed Best DESERVES this love. He has from the start.
I didn't even react strongly when Ahmed Best showed up because I was lowkey spoiled, but Hector/Adam's reaction really did make me happy and excited, even tho I knew what was coming again LOL

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought the Mandos training looked dorky 😂
I agree. ROTS makes it quite clear that Padme had no clue what the fires at the temple meant. Only Jar Jar Binks fits the timeline.
The amount of shit that Ahmed Best went through, to be as close as he was to ending his own life, it's not enough that he got to be the one who saved Grogu. His first words on screen could have very well been to his younger self or anyone who needs that voice of reassurance.
"Everything's gonna be alright, kid."
It's beautiful. It's perfect! Huge W for Ahmed and for Star Wars!!!
Seeing Adam freaking out when Ahmed Best appeared was awesome to see
The foundling still being alive can be attributed to instinctive teaching where the adult introduces live food sources so the young learn to hunt.
15:30 "There's always a bigger fish..." Quigon Ginn
Episode # 4 ( The Foundling ) was directed by Carl Weathers .
He did an excellent job .
Me anytime they ask Grogu to do anything: HE'S BABY!
As someone who was a kid when The Phantom Menace released, I really hope Ahmed Best gets all the love and support he’s ALWAYS deserved.
I needs to see grogu force jumping around with his lil jetpack before I leave this matrix.
With the darksaber
What if grogu was hidden with the gungans in their underwater city for some time?
The search party climbing up the mountain to get to the nest reminded me of Nacho climbing to get his eagle powers lmao
4:55 It's always Vizla's youngling. He'll probably get the nickname 'Ragnar the Unlucky'
If we ever get a next gen grogu series, I want it to be a joke that the kid gets jumped by the wildlife at least once a season for the rest of his life.
Lots of speculation about who the Armorer is. It's obviously Edna Mode.

💯 and I LOVE your theories about baby yoda connecting with other living creatures 💚
15:35 Another prequel callback: There’s always a bigger fish.
Ahmed Best being the Jedi that saved Grogu, was the best cameo in the series so far! I know a lot of people won’t agree, but I got so emotional when I saw it was him and he deserved this moment ! I’m hoping we see more of him in future episodes and they better make an action figure!!!
Welcome back to Star Wars, Ahmed Best.
Yeah, i don't get it either, but some "fans" are literally saying every episode has been boring and nothing has happened.
it's so cool that Ahmed Best came back to Star Wars as a Jedi who saves Grogu and I have a feeling we see more of him :)
