now everyone needs to relearn how to play the drums. Gavin Harrison is the new face of perfection when it comes to playing the drum kit there was john b from led z, neil p from rush and now there is Gavin Harrison
Check out Gavin’s performance on Letterman (youtube post...can’t belive I am reccomending anything about Dweeb Letterman). DL had a Drummer’s Week a few years back and Gavin played swing Band style then an excellent solo.
I'd love to know how to get that live recording that plays in the intro and at the end, almost sounds like the record because his drums sound so damn amazing.
+GamerDares wins Well Sonor is probably the oldest manufacturer of drums on the market today; almost twice as old as Pearl. Not sure if you've ever played a Sonor, but it's abundantly clear they know how to make a drum. Sabian is essentially Zildjian's bratty little brother. I play Paiste personally, but between Sabian or Zildjian, Zildjian will always come out on top.
+GamerDares wins No, my friend. A quick google search reveals Sonor was founded in the 1870s, Pearl the 1950s. I appreciate Pearl drums for sure, but nothing comes close to Sonor's craftsmanship. My Sonor kit is built like a tank. Cymbals: I can agree to disagree.
GamerDares wins You prob don't know how to hit. I've never broken a single cymbal. Ever. Not even a china. Sabian was just butt hurt so they made they their own crappy boot leg cymbal company without any originality. Enjoy your dull sounding cymbals. They still have the majority of the market so you're wrong and you should feel bad. Although Zildjian is better than Sabian I stopped using Zildjian because they discontinued all of their best cymbals so I'm looking at Paiste and Bosphorus atm. You do realize that Gavin is playing Sonor in the vid right? KEK narrative destroyed rip.
+GamerDares wins aah dude? I may not be a native english speaker but are you? if so then you know the meaning of the word 'opinion' right? hehe. uneducated keyboard warrior.
the best floor tom i ever heard, incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!, 18x15?,super round, with a lot of body and sustain..., the color is super nice!, the lugs, throw offs, or any metal put in a good sonor is 1000 times more better in quality, precission, material or design than dw, dw only the shells, the rest of dw is poor..., any famous dw finish is copy of sonor in the ,90, any bass drum of starclassic, sq2 or master, or highest premier sounds a lot more good and with a lot more power than any dw colectors, this toms are (in sound) so brutal, dw only have a more precise pich between the numbers, only i hear a incredible dw tom sound to rick latham in his two instructional dvds and manny von vohr in his one. gavin best drummer than thomas lang or marco minnemann, more creative and musical, with a lot more personality in his playing!, gavin and simon phillips the best drum sound in earth!!!, simon is the megamaster in tunning!!!!, and playing as well, his kits sounds INCREDIBLES, the best octoban sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, ahhhhh!!!!!!!!, and carter beauford!!!!!!!!!, his toms sounds from another planet!, love the black heads, sounds super round an warm!!!!, and his snare!!!!!!!!!!!, whatttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe it was a brief pre-concert rig rundown for the people "behind the screen" and the crew sitting around, or maybe a few meet and greet beneficiants. If you read the description it says it was a gig with 05Ric. So the video was more directed at us viewers.
Loving the '15 years old' joke and classic ironic thank you. Those kind of things make me like him even more.
Damn...Sonor drums tone and sustain is just too perfect..
gavin great drummer ,great guy..Flippin awesome chops..mad sense of humour..ace.
Quite possibly the best toms I've ever heard, god that kit and snare sound beautiful! As well as the cymbals, awesome!
The snare is one of the best sounding that I have ever heard. I'll never go back to a 14".
I hate that 12 " snare !!!
I'd use it as a side-snare, but it'll be the most used snare drum in my kit for sure.
Gavin’s snare is 14”
@@tommoger 14x 5.25

The best sounding kit i have ever heard!
what an awesome looking/sounding kit
For a moment I almost thought that Ludwig could compare with Sonor. I was wrong
Love Gavin!!!😎
Great drummer and humble👍
Crazy doubles! What a sound!
I've always been a Sonor guy, but this is on another level! Tone, looks, everything about it is amazing
That bass drum sounds amazing!
Amazing drummer. So creative.
I want that drum kit... and his talent.. ha ha. I have similar sizes except I want to get a 12" snare.
that kit sounds amazing! not just great playing but incredible sounding drums
That's one badass looking drumset - sounds as good as it looks too. Coincidentally my favorite color is blue :)
And he's 15 years old XD, okay jajajaja
Emiliano Barros and this explosion of laugh and applause from the audience... unforgettable XD
Gavin is a genius drummer for sure
Yeah, Gavin has a good sense of humour! :D
I'd love to know how to get that live recording that plays in the intro and at the end, almost sounds like the record because his drums sound so damn amazing.
hahaha i love gavin. thanks for this!
The best combination for me :) Sonor and Zildjian!

+GamerDares wins gj being wrong. Sabian is just a shitty version of Zildjian but Peral is good tho even if Sonor shits on them.

What is a white plastic thing on his snare drum at 01:23 ?
The toms are the SQ2 set?
what is the music in first and last few seconds?
nevermind, found it
Amazing kit , what are the shell thickness,
Medium toms and heavy bass drum.
Source - Gavin Harrison & 05Ric
does anybody know the shell thickness for his drums? I'm pretty sure they come in a choice of 4 thicknesses.
Medium toms, heavy bass drum.

"You've been a great audience..." he says to the sitting corpses. What's up with that crowd; no applause allowed?!

Lighten up Tim FFS lol
He is only fooling around!
This guy and mike portnoy sold me on 12" snares. I have a cheap maple 12×5 and it wont ever come off my kit.
my drumset is 400€... hey the sq2 figurator is only 12k for my optimal set! in 50yrs I will have enough money for that! Yaaay
ZILDJIAN ZILDJIAN
Vorrei capire l'1 % di quello che fai con la batteria, complimentissimi
best joke ever! :D
He was in my home town Kassel germany with 5 ric! It was sooo funny! All drummers of course. AND I got a picture with him! One joke after another :'D
I'll bet Lars Ulrich would really give that set a workout.
Bill Jones 😂😂😂
so funny :D
