Hi Laurence~ May I ask for a quick advice? Ignoring the price difference, how is this Fanatec CSL Elite V2 Pedals compare with Heusinkveld Hltimate (non-plus version)? Will you also go fo this CSL Elite V2? Thanks a lot!
Have had these pedals for around 3 months now and didn't realise I could horizontally move the individual pedals, so thanks for that. I've kept the 3x65 stack at 40% strength (in the software) as didn't use a load cell before. Without doubt this pedal set has, possibly inadvertently, taught me how to trail brake with much more consistency. You have me intrigued to now stiffen up slightly with a 65-75-85, as shown in the video!
Haha yep exactly, these pedals encourage good habits and consistency. Feel free to experiment :) remember to take a pic of your previous configuration before you change anything :)
I use the Pedals since 2 Month and love them. I only use the Break and Throttle so i placed the Break on the left. The Clutch Pedal had more resistance than the Throttle and because of that, i use the Clutch Pedal as a Throttle Pedal to have a better feeling.
I did the same and it’s simple to switch the stoppers. These pedals are amazing and after I switched the clutch in for the throttle I wouldn’t change a freaking thing.
I've just got a set too and would like a firmer throttle, is it simple to switch the clutch spring or is there aftermarket stronger spring replacement? Edit, sorry, the springs cannot be changed out, just the pedal placement swapped around?
I decided to purchase these yesterday. For years now I've been using G29 (although heavily modified) pedals which was fun, but now it's time for an upgrade. Happy I went for these after watching your review.
i just bought these coming from G29 pedals. Was a bit underwhelmed as I expected more after the reviews. But then came to realize they come out of the box with the weakest elastomers and spring (and thus a fairly long travel like my old pedals). Changed those to stronger ones and now they feel just awesome! At this price I can really recommend them to anyone.
Yep these pedals can do it all. You might be really disappointed if you ever buy €1,000 pedals and realise that you don’t even get that much more than you do with these pedals. Thanks for the comment? Hope all is good
I went and bought a set of these after you and every other reviewer said such great things about them when they were released. Upgraded from my g920 pedals, potentiometers had gone from sawdust. DIY wood rig problems. Since then I’ve done a bunch more work and got these pedals good and dusty with no issues ever showing up. They’ve been flawless despite being pulled off and remounted 10+ times. Best way I can think to describe the brake pedal is mindless. In a good way that is. Is just disappears beneath my foot and the car just does what I want smoothly and predictably. Truly a worthy upgrade and glad I followed reviewers advice and got a good pedal set before upgrading to a direct drive wheelbase.
I haven't actually watched any other reviewers' thoughts on it to try and keep my opinions uninfluenced. Delighted you're enjoying them and enjoying sim racing! Thanks for the great comment!
@@LaurenceDusoswa tbh it’s remarkable that you haven’t watched any other reviews and yet everyone seems to have come to the same conclusion. Brake pedal is as good as you’ll ever need and that’s what really matters, clutch and accelerator are good enough to not be an issue.
I bought these pedals and my loadcell failed after about 6 months and fanatec has not responded to my service requests for 2 weeks now. Fanatec customer service has been so bad in my experience I will not purchase anything from them again. I would advise everyone against buying these or any other product from fanatec. I will update this post with comments if anything changes.
I use the original CSL pedals. I watched a review on boosted media's channel and ordered the v2s ,the selling point was the fact that the load cell sensor is at the base of the pedal whereas the v1s was at the top which meant that from time to time I would notice that my braking wouldn't be enough because my foot slid down on the pedal face and the force wouldn't register on the sensor ,so hopefully that won't be the case with the v2s
Out of all the different pedals I’ve tried, I came right back to the CSL elite V1s! I was faster and more consistent. I understand people wanting to spend loads of $$$$ for realistic looking things, but if it’s pure pace you’re after…Do not turn away from the V1s and now the V2s!
Many say the same about Logitech non load cell pedals. Just be careful with your advice. You don’t upgrade to a better race car and instantly expect to be as good as others in that car. It’s very tempting to go back to your comfort zone. Proper load cell brakes make you slower for a little while as you learn how to use them. It’s like learning a new language. Either way, your comment will help people to make up their own minds

Nothing changed from the V1 except maybe the sensors in the throttle and clutch which really only adds a few bits more precision that no one can reasonably take advantage of anyway. Before you would buy the v1 pedals and buy the load cell kit separately at a later time, or get them together as a bundle. Now, as an original V1 owner, it is literally impossible for me to upgrade to the load cell kit like I had originally planned and which was why I originally bought these pedals in the first place. Now the only thing I can do to upgrade the awful brake on my pedals is to add an aftermarket elastomer cushion to replace the foam one.

Wanted to get the Simagic P2000 (no clutch) for $575 since I run a simagic alpha. But now I wonder if you should save $275 even running two different brands
It’s a big saving. The p2000 are definitely worth the money and are at least as good as these pedals in every way and a lot better in other ways but it’s a huge saving and you get a clutch too.

if you have v3s and are happy, i wouldn't get these. i do think the brake is better but if you're upgrading from v3s, consider something like the simforge pedals maybe.
At 2:36 of you video you can brake so much. Is it with the 65 elastomers and the blue spring? I notice you have not put the additional ring back inside the spring. Is this by mistake or intentional? The problem i have is that i cant push the elastomers so my like in your video. Even with 3x65 my brake barely moves. Do i have to do something with the elastomers so that they soften abit like yours? Because now my brake is so incredible stiff.
I just moved from a G29 Rig to fanatec dd pro with v2 pedals and boy do I hate the throttle pedal!! It's looooong, soft and very un-sensitive. Does anyone know how to adjust the throttle sensitivity on a ps5 platform? I don't own a pc and I'm not about to buy a pc so I can adjust these pedals
Mine arrive this afternoon after my basic fanatec pedals that came with ddpro started messing up , the loadcell i upgraded to started braking on its own and wouldnt hold a constant pressure without fluctuating massively , bit the bullet and ordered v2 . Was just wondering what would be the roughly same preassure as original loadcell? As in what combo to use ?
Curious, I just recently bought a set of v1 clubsport pedals. Wasn't fully understanding what I was buying. Looks like I might be changing out to these. Do you know anything with a nice brake like this and a little bite on the clutch? Thanks!!!
Im guessing all the CSL Elite pedals are the same height overall ? I have the entry level set and they just fit in my gooofy rig... cant find anything bu packaging dimensions ??
biggest problem of this pedals is the elastomers, this are going to be dead, and brake will start "feeding brake input" without any force after 3-5 months of use
I have had pedal sets with elastomers for years and never experienced that issue. the only issue elastomers have is that they are only effective and accurate to 50% or so. after that they deform and wear hard. That's why cup systems are great.
9:18 you're wrong - there are exactly 20 combinations, as the order at which we install the elastomers doesn't matter for the final force required to brake. x,y,z are different values of hardness, we have 2 springs so twice the combinations XXX YYY ZZZ XXY XXZ YYX YYZ ZZX ZZY XYZ
At the end of the day, what happened happened and it happened for a reason. With a little bit of skill and a lot of luck the next one will be a game changer…
What do you think about putting Simagic haptic for the brakes on CSL V2 pedals instead of getting P1000? Save myself AUD$500 by doing this. I don't have either yet.

It could just be the camera. Film it the same way and you will see more movement on video than you can see with your eyes
I just moved from a G29 Rig to fanatec dd pro with v2 pedals and boy do I hate the throttle pedal!! It's looooong, soft and very un-sensitive. Does anyone know how to adjust the throttle sensitivity on a ps5 platform?
I don't own a pc and I'm not about to buy a pc so I can adjust these pedals
so is it worth upgrading from 4 year old v1 csl elites
Mine arrive this afternoon after my basic fanatec pedals that came with ddpro started messing up , the loadcell i upgraded to started braking on its own and wouldnt hold a constant pressure without fluctuating massively , bit the bullet and ordered v2 . Was just wondering what would be the roughly same preassure as original loadcell? As in what combo to use ?
i cant decide between these or the sim forge i have money for both but just cant decide between them
Simforge are superior
@@LaurenceDusoswa thank you for the advice keep up with the awesome content 🙌🏻
Bonjour,ai suivi vos conseils,ai acheté ce pédalier.😊
Nice! Enjoy!!!
Curious, I just recently bought a set of v1 clubsport pedals. Wasn't fully understanding what I was buying. Looks like I might be changing out to these. Do you know anything with a nice brake like this and a little bite on the clutch? Thanks!!!
yeah the next pedal set 'up' from this that I have reviewed and recommend is the Simforge pedal set. It's really good
@@LaurenceDusoswa oh nice. They aren’t even being sold yet but pricing isn’t horrible.
Im guessing all the CSL Elite pedals are the same height overall ? I have the entry level set and they just fit in my gooofy rig... cant find anything bu packaging dimensions ??
Are these pedals compatable with the logitech g29 wheel ?
on PC, yes. they are USB
biggest problem of this pedals is the elastomers, this are going to be dead, and brake will start "feeding brake input" without any force after 3-5 months of use
I have had pedal sets with elastomers for years and never experienced that issue. the only issue elastomers have is that they are only effective and accurate to 50% or so. after that they deform and wear hard. That's why cup systems are great.
I am thinking about this pedal, or you think its worth to wait for csp v4?
good review
Cheers
I jumped on these during the black Friday sale. Now i'm waiting to receive them and preparing to get jumped by my wife 😂
NICE! the black friday deal was amazing
What kg force do you use for load cell brake?
No idea. Generally around 50-70.
@@LaurenceDusoswa I gained about 1.5 seconds by putting the breaking force at 90 percent
These or second hand VNM pedals for $450?
The VNM pedals at 450 are a good deal
if i waited for 1 more year too upgrade pedals i would have got these instead of v3's
9:18 you're wrong - there are exactly 20 combinations, as the order at which we install the elastomers doesn't matter for the final force required to brake.
x,y,z are different values of hardness, we have 2 springs so twice the combinations

You got them?
No cliche phrases. Disliked. 😤
At the end of the day, what happened happened and it happened for a reason. With a little bit of skill and a lot of luck the next one will be a game changer…
@@LaurenceDusoswa poetry.
@@AidanMillward I’m a poet and I wasn’t aware…
Looks like MOZA guys are giving them tough time
could be! It's a good time to be a buyer
The TLC-M pedals are also pretty slick.
Anyone on here selling fanatec setup go a ps5 just starting out
you're unlikely to find one in your area on here as it's a global audience. Try a local sim racing group or classifieds
It takes 100 pounds of pressure to get these to 80%, not enjoying them very much, my basic Logitech are better
You know you can adjust them right?
What do you think about putting Simagic haptic for the brakes on CSL V2 pedals instead of getting P1000? Save myself AUD$500 by doing this. I don't have either yet.
Yep! Try it! If you can fit them on there then it makes sense
