    I had to add flour and ended up only using one and a half cups of water. Waiting two hours before I make dough balls, roll out and cook on saj. My grandmother and mother made unleavened Arabic bread all the time. Delicious. This is my first time since I just purchased a saj.

      Sometimes the measurements vary based on the cup size. Where as adding water as per the needed texture can always be adjusted. It takes a few takes to perfect the recipe, the required texture and outcome. Check out our other videos as well, we are sure you're going to love them all !!

    Shawarma bread is Pita bread which cannot be made without adding YEAST.

    • @sporkandknife
      @sporkandknife  Год назад +1

      Shawarma all around the world, especially in the Middle East and Turkey, is NOT always made from pita bread. Khubz saaj, lavash, and yufka breads are famously used to make shawarma. Look up for some food vlogs and you will get more knowledge about shawarma. We are born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is known for some of the best shawarmas in the world.

      did you forget the oil, did you try it a second time and or did you let the batter/dough sit for two to three hours before trying to shape them?? plus cups may be a tool and not actually eight ounces by meaning here. Liquids are always added as the flour needs hydration, its based upon what you see and feel in the bowl.
