Right now the ban applies to all T4E markers because an online seller was selling the different types of more "dangerous" ammo.

A real balloon stopper which sits in my gun cupboard in its holster. In the event that I ever felt threatened by balloons or tin plates, I think it is sufficiently safe to store in the house. No question that it would leave a bruise the size of a tin plate on the chest, or leg of any balloon that wanted some action and at 5-10 yards it could easily stop a balloon.

The Umarex quality shines, found alternate cheaper brand .5 cal rubber balls available on line without the eyewateringly high price tag for OE suppliers.
Yep, I've got the UK version and the first try out shot went straight through the plywood backboard of the target with a hard rubber ball round 🙄 It's also very loud. So your neighbours might not share your enthusiasm for a bit of garden target practice.
Had one a few years ago when I lived in Finland. Great fun for plinking out in the countryside, however calling them 'home defence' is a bit cheeky on the part of Umarex
I live in France and I have just bought the HDR 68 revolver. It's the big brother to the HDR 50 and looks similar - apart from the size, and it's only 5 shot.. Hi Andy. Been looking in to getting one of these (the 11 joule version which are readily available within the uk) I’ve been seeing a lot of information stating that if you use any ammo aside from paintballs or frangible ammo it would make the hun illegal?
As long as you buy and use this item or similar for it’s intended purpose, a bit of fun in your back garden etc, where do you stand legally if you should decide to fire off a few rounds at someone attempting to or having actually broken into your property? I know this whole area is a literal minefield, but a basic overview would be greatly appreciated.
