    fun fact, these paintball caliber markers got banned in Finland and confiscated from stores. They are trying to figure out how to ban them without banning all paintball guns. Right now the ban applies to all T4E markers because an online seller was selling the different types of more "dangerous" ammo.

    I got the HDR 50 a few years ago, and mine came with 5 mags, which I thought was an absolute bargain at the time. I always pick up spare mags so having them in the box really was the cherry on top. I also have the HDR 50's little brother, the Umarex Tornado (or Brodax, for our US cousins) which is pretty good, esp for the price, and you can use the Umarex Colt Python mags in the Tornado and shoot pellets.

    With the rubber ball ammo provided it delivers over 16 J. With other types of ammo you can apparently get up to 19.9J.
    The legal limit in France is 20J. ( Up from 10J in 2013 ).
    Not sure how long the CO2 lasts. I haven't had a chance to properly test it yet. I think it's only 10 shots.

      should you choose to defend yourself with it, 6 rounds from it is more likely to seriously anger an attacker rather the stop him!

    @Cailean_MacCoinnich Год назад +1

    There seems to be some debate about the variable legality of these guns.
    You can legally use the 11 joule model in the UK, providing you only fire frangible ammo. ie. things like paint balls, chalk balls etc that break up on impact.
    With the 7.5 joule version you can use hard rubber balls legally as it's classified at an air pistol. So firing a paint ball with the 11 joules and it's legal, but fire a rubber ball with the 11 and you go to prison.
    Keep either by your bed as a potential home defence weapon, and fire it at a burglar and you'll have some serious explaining to do to the judge, here in the free nation of UK, we are not permitted to defend our homes and families.
    Personally I would prefer to keep a very sharp sword by my bed for potential intruders to "taste" but again if I use it, I'll be charged with a multitude of weapons offences. "It's honestly only there for display purposes your Honour".

    Do these require any type of licence for these like paintball guns with orange bits on them? I'd have thought with a hole that big in the front you might get shot by SWAT! Love though, the grin on Andy's face indicates a lot of fun to be had.

    My wife and I have an RV which we spend six months a year in in the USA. I have a higher power one next to my bed loaded with pepper balls for a bit of “home security??” in our rig. The Yanks love these things ( just check out some of the stuff on other “lesser” RUclips channels 😊) We have had some great fun bashing cans etc when we’re out in the wild and not disturbing the neighbours…. as you say they kick out quite a bang…… great, great fun and it allows me to sleep at night knowing I can ‘pop a bear’ ??? 😎 should the need arise.

    Hi Andy, I bought an Hdr50 a few months ago from a chap who used to live in France, but has since returned to live in blighty. The problem I have is that when you fit a new co2 cartridge in it & pull the trigger, it empties the contents of it instantly. I was aware of this when I bought it from him, as this was reflected in the price. I was assured it would be an easy repair, but as I am new to the airgun world I don't have enough knowledge to risk tampering with the gun, so can you recommend somewhere I can take it to have this problem sorted, or where I can get a comprehensive owners manual plz. Thanks. Love your channel & content, & am learning so much from your in depth analysis of this sport.

    Can I ask why is it you seem to have removed your previous videos covering some of the T4E guns, for example the HDX 68 pump action shotgun ??

      Hi, No I haven't had one to review or experience of the range, I believe they are at the budget end of the market, and highly unlikely to be made by enfield, more a rebadged budget supplier. but I am only making an assumption from past experience .
