The coaching has not allowed for CW to even try let alone improve. Hopefully Shane Waldron being fired gets something going but we aren't winning another game this year.
Easy for us to say in hindsight. I think more interesting would be if they have the JD and Kliff Kingsbury duo the Commanders have. Lot of what ifs for the Bears
@@blantant sorry I've been saying this for years...Bears squandered their #1 pick and could have really built up the team instead of ruining it on one player who has turned out to be complete shit.
I'm not sure that I agree with you. IMO, the coaching is a good part of the problem. They put Caleb out there and expect him to function like an experienced QB. I don't know what they're doing in practice but all I see is a rookie QB without a lot of support and the pressure on him is mounting. There is no creativity in the game calling which is allowing the defense to tee off on a weak O line and thereby the QB. Caleb needs to sit for a few quarters and get his head unscrambled. He's thinking too much and not just letting it flow. He's got "happy feet" and he's missing targets. I guarantee you he didn't play this way in college. Right now, he needs a sports psychologist as much as he needs a coach.
@@finkomsky But hes learning from a QB like russ. They have a similar styles of play. Fields will be better when his time comes again. Plus he wasnt playing bad, pitts just wanted to see what the team would look like with russ. They're playing great with russ or fields tho

Every team we've played this season has blitzed us more than they have blitzed in franchise of those teams history. It's not Caleb It's the Organizations fault and has been for 4 decades. They draft or trade for a running QB and try to make the last 75 QB'S pocket QB'S! Why? Because the organization can give really good bonuses if no one is accounting for the money. Winning means focus on funds! The McCaskeys have and are the biggest problem in Chicago. We need to stop buying anything Bears and stop attending games. Until the winning culture shows up again!!
he's not an inaccurate passer? Chase my man, according to PFF he's one of the most inaccurate passers in the league. 62% of the non-throw aways/tips and spikes he throws are on target, one of the worst rates in the NFL, statistically speaking he is an incredibly inaccurate passer. and in case you think this is a fluke. he was the same at USC, which is why a number of the more advanced analytics guys really didn't like him as a pro prospect. At USC his completion rate on balls deeper then 20 yards was about 20%, in the nfl it's 16%, which is easily the worst in the league. I never understood why people thought he was some sort of mahomes v.2, mahomes in college was an incredible passer. he was erratic, which scared some guys off, but you never questioned his ability to make all the throws and read a defense at an elite level. Williams never showed that at USC, in fact against top 25 defenses he was atrocious. and one thing i'll disagree with you on, (otherwise excellent breakdown); 16:09 you got to throw that ball to DJ at the top, he's wide open on that 9 route. yeah safety help is coming, but he beat that CB by 7 yards down field and it's a 1 high look, you're never going to get a better look on that. and Williams is looking right at him. he just doesn't have confidence in his arm to make the throw. as i said earlier, he's an atrocious downfield thrower. and here is the fruit of that problem. when Moore gets open (almost immediately) he had to be throwing that.
Could we at least see what Bagent can do with this offense. It couldn't hurt to see if it was all the coach, the line or possibly that Caleb might be the problem or all of them. Just curious!?
What if bagent plays well? They are scared to death of that scenario. They will not play him unless Caleb gets injured. Bagent looked really good in preseason.
I do think Bagent would just let it rip. I want to sit Caleb because once you teach a guy not to throw it, they are broken. I’d rather have a guy sling and throw interceptions than a guy who takes sacks because he is too scared to throw it. If you throw too many interceptions, you lose. If you take too many sacks, you lose. But, you can win a game by making plays. Caleb is rattled and needs to step away to do mental reps. He can come back next season ready to let it fly
@StewMain6 You're absolutely correct. Jordan Loves response or Rodgers to interception are they are trying to make plays! Caleb is afraid of making mistakes now.
@@77tungsten once that is coached into a player, it’s fucked. Your talent got you into the league, you got to fucking use it. You learn what you can and can’t do but you can’t stop what helped you get there. You’ll learn more from an interception and from a sack
Any Quarter Back who has to play behind a trash offensive line is going to look like trash. Caleb Williams didn't throw for nan interception and when he got a decent pocket he stepped up and made the play. The offensive line play was the worst thing Bears are going to have to fire this entire coaching staff like now!
There were plenty of times he had a clean pocket but just refused to make the pass when he needed to. The line cant block all day. He is holding the ball too long. CJ Stroud does not have a good OL and he is making plays. is he as good as he was last season? No but he is making plays and is accurate where he throws the ball. Jayden Daniels has had injuries on the OL and he is still making plays. Not everything is on the OL and OC. Does it help to have a perfect Line? Yes but its the NFL a line isn't going to be perfect every play and College open is not NFL open. Caleb needs to lead his receivers when they need to be lead, hit the receivers when they are open, take the checkdown when its available. Caleb had a check down and threw a terrible ball, that was not on the OL
@@9190onin The issue is, guys aren't getting open consistently. I've watched a lot of these breakdowns and I think Caleb is seeing the field properly, but a combination of guys not being open and just awkward route timing is messing with him. So when guys occasionally get open, he's not ready for it.
The Bears should have done that last year. It's too late now, and they have already wasted Year One the #1 overall pick on a lame duck staff, exactly as smart Bears fans said they would. Doesn't matter who you hire now: the damage to Williams' early development and confidence has been done. Look at what Washington did, starting the same day the Bears blew them out last year: trade away any pesky talent that might win you games, get the pick, get rid of everyone, hire new staff to maximize the incoming rookie, Bob's your uncle. That's what the Bears should have done too. And it's not even because Eberflus is a particularly bad coach. It's just that you have to sync people up to the #1 draft pick and the future of the team. If Washington had kept rocking with Ron Rivera after last season, the same nonsense would probably be happening there.
Jayden Daniels has not beat a great team yet. It is much more brutal for Bears fans to watch Mahomes who was drafted behind Trubisky. Talk about nasty.
@@charlesfinnegan7930 he's beaten two teams that at least pose a threat in the Bengals and the Cardinals. The Bengals have underachieved but Burrow still brings it most every game so the other QB generally has to as well. The Cardinals have overachieved and are by no means a great team. They ARE, at the moment though, a playoff team if the season ended today. But to me Daniels just seemed better from the get go. Better attitude was the big thing for me. He's out there having fun and enjoying every game. I know that's easy to do in his situation right now but he displayed that in college too. More humility, and just as much of a play maker if not more so. Teams really ought to try to consider attitude and maturity level with a potential franchise QB as much or more than just skill set. They need the skill set, typically. But they need the mental side too. Years ago, he's probably still out there, but there was a guy that literally had a test based on personality type that was supposed to be predictive of whether a QB could succeed. I think the test came afterward but I want to say that still somehow Joe Montana was deemed to have the personality type to succeed. Maybe it wasn't Montana. I remember it predicting that Chris Simms would not do well and he didn't. No test is of course 100% but it would be interesting to see how Caleb Williams and some of the other rookie QB's, including Daniels, would do or even did on it.
Caleb seems to really have regressed and I think he is struggling with confidence since he hasn't had to deal with this type of adversity in the past. It seems he came in too cocky and now he hasn't made the mental adjustments. He has the talent and the tools, but he needs to make that mental adjustment that all rookies do.
Most of his job is done between the ears, though, and he's not making basic reads. Or is he is he doesn't trust them. So now his receivers are giving up, making them natural scapegoats for fans.
The bad thing is I don't know that he can. It started before he was a rookie. He showed it last year when they lost to Washington and he went crying in his mother's arms and said he didn't know how to act or what to do basically because he's never been in the position in which he's not going to the playoffs or playing for a championship. I mean I don't want to bash the kid as he is still a lot of ways a kid and adversity either builds character or destroys someone. So far he's shown more of the it will destroy him quality. But that doesn't mean that he can't grow and turn it around. But it's on him to do so and it starts with being more receptive to advice like say CJ Stroud was trying to give him in Week 2 and he was entirely uninterested. Bad thing is he probably doesn't get a lot of good advice in Chicago.
Def not the wind on this one. 10:18 number 15 clothing blowing to our right, throw to our wide left. I think his struggles have to do with how the Bears have him working. He's having to relearn everything out there.

Chase has played QB in the NFL. Pretty sure he knows how fast NFL defenders are much better than you do. Did you think he was just some guy with a webcam?
Hey, year one. 1st overall pick. Not gonna be perfect! Since we don't work in the NFL, easy to cast shade on what we see. Chase, appreciate the breakdowns. I'm still positive on the longer term for Caleb, but now see him trying to do too much with too little time. Fix O-line, Caleb don't be afraid to check down early, re-establish the run game. Fans, try and stay positive.
After about the first quarter and a half on Sunday, I was out. The Bears were back at home, against a piss poor Patriots team, it was clear where this was going. I was shocked when I checked the final score and the Bears only had that one field goal. I have no idea who to blame, it’s all a terrible mess
I was at the game and it was windy at times, but not enough to excuse the bad misses. The kid is broken rn. Someone needs to boost his confidence or bench him.
Bro can you come out a retirement and sit with this kid… makes no sense that a retired QB can see all these flaws and those paid professionals maybe can see them but has the inability to have this translate into action on the field…why the bears man… just why 😂
When you have a indecisive rookie QB, you make it easier for him to make decisions on quick easy throws. Build up confidence. I just dont think he has adjusted to the NFL yet. You can tell from the first play in your video he has no clue what to do. His internal clock is broken. He sees no one there, but still stays in the pocket. Just take off, the guy is one of teh best mobile QB's while in college.
Seems like the opposite of the situation the OC at Washington installed for Jayden Daniels. Sucks to see the Bears destroy the confidence of another QB
@@JackMarchetti29 that he's lazy and believed media hype. That a quarterback who can run around in the backfield like a chicken with his head cut off against Pac 12 defenses with no one in Chicago who has shown any evidence or history of developing QB's would work out well in the NFL.
Caleb is gonna need some time to develop for sure. He gotta throw the ball at least. But 9 sacks in one game has to be crushing mentally. Because he was the first pick doesn’t mean he should have started. They should have started a veteran
I agree. Unless he kills it in practice you do not start him. He needs development. They are ruining him. But I think this is all overreacting anyways. The team is 4-5. There are teams that had higher asspirations with worse records right now. The bears had way too high of expectations coming in.
@@BradyJHagen Playing in the NFC North does not help either. The remaining schedule is toughest in NFL which does not bode well for a team with shaken confidence.
As a Bears fan it’s just ridiculous that this organization goes around in circles with HC’s and young QB’s. Flus needs to go away asap!Very dysfunctional and it’s getting old. OL obviously needs to be fixed
Bears need to run drills this offseason with an extra man on defense rushing over and over again so he can learn to deal with the pressure. He’s clearly being told too much between starts and is melting down, these aren’t adjustments he’s going to make during the season with the escalating pressure week by week.
Our offensive line is questionable in pass protection, let’s send all the receivers 20 yards or more out 😂 I remember this happening all the time during the Andrew Luck area. Grigson got pretty much all the blame for having a bad offensive line. But if your offensive line is not elite, you might want to consider not calling a bunch of slow developing plays.
OL sucks The play calling is even worse 18:14 - shows that a slant route from kmet would have gone for a 30 yard gain Stupid stick routes They should be running short slants and doing PA roll outs with this terrible line Waldron is brain dead
caleb may not be playing as good as he should but you see this o line getting walked back or flat out beat instantly its probably the reason hes rushing things. Also maybe get him on the move more because he does that well
I am not the Bears organization is the worst in the sport. Half measures are there M.O. Look for Eberflush to make it thru the entire season. Seriously how many NFL organizations would still have a coach on the payroll after losing 17 straight Sunday road games?
Williams is not regressing. The only thing wrong is that he isn't playing the worst defenses in the league. Playing well against the #32 and #31 passing Ds was deceiving and anyone who believed Williams would be the next Mahomes because he looked OK against really bad teams was fooling themselves.
Good news today! Waldron has been sent packing! We will all learn how Brown handles this offense but I promise the first time he calls a handoff to a backup lineman on goal to go I will scream. lol!
To my untrained eye, are the routes too long for CW to hit? Why not make his game all about short passes? Never think about long stuff - yet. And tell him it is ok to be an interception machine! He needs to get used to throwing, not standing.
This is another example of a draft pick being wildly overrated combined with an offense that wouldn't even win a Pop Warner game. Not really going to help him by firing the OC because of your "offensive minded" HC is still there to further erode Williams confidence and crush his prospects of learning anything useful. Good luck Caleb, you're well on your way to becoming the next Mac Jones, Justin Field, Bryce Young.
These decision errors by him aren’t being made in a vacuum. I guarantee you these same mistakes have been made over and over in practice ever since training camp. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will enter the HOF by using one simple concept. 1-2-3- THROW!!! It’s either a completed pass or throw it away and on to the next play. It’s not rocket science to teach quarterbacks to do this.

That’s exactly what I thought when chase pointed that out.
I swear the bears backup qbs over the years have been better than starters! Going all way back to Brian griese. Kyle orton, Josh mccown, chase daniels. Will Tyson bagent be the next?
Love the way you break down the film and give an honest opinion bc everyone else I hear talking about him trying to convince people he's best QB ever to come out of college. Not a fan of reporters trying convince you who's good or not as a FAN we should use your own opinion and eyes not a team paid reporters..
It's not that they don't respect the receivers. They don't respect Calib.
I don't think you can blame CW for a lot of the problems we are seeing. He is still learning but at the same time it is on the coaching staff to get him to where he needs to be. Patriots had the WRs locked down all day and yeah CW may have held the ball a bit too long on some plays but most of the sacks were because of the OL. The coaching has not allowed for CW to even try let alone improve. Hopefully Shane Waldron being fired gets something going but we aren't winning another game this year.
He sounds like hes forced to make this video. Bears offense must be that dreadful to watch as an ex NFL qb
So basically.....all the scouts need to be fired cause this guy STINKS!!
All I know is that I feel vindicated. The Bears should've kept Justin, traded the #1 pick, and built up the oline.
JF was Benched in Pittsburgh so you clearly don’t know what your talking about
@@finkomsky But hes learning from a QB like russ. They have a similar styles of play. Fields will be better when his time comes again. Plus he wasnt playing bad, pitts just wanted to see what the team would look like with russ. They're playing great with russ or fields tho
Chase! the thumbnail lol bears fans are definitely feeling the same way. I feel like the right playcaller has this offense olaying better and settles Caleb down. He will be fine..the right OC takes this offense and balls out
Facts
They had Kliff in the building... Thanks Bears... HTTR!
Why didn't we pick Jayden?
He would not be doing any better lol this scheme is painfully bad. Nothing makes sense or matches up.
There are some lazy routes in this video, especially that out route by Moore.
He is a poor man Deebo Samuels. The OC is using him wrong, good thing he was fired.
Didn't this guy want to become part owner in the team that drafts him as a condition of his contract?
Probably your best video so far
That tenth play that post route was there💯
Every team we've played this season has blitzed us more than they have blitzed in franchise of those teams history.
The Bears always seem to pick the turds. Hopefully Caleb will develop in time but it sure looks like he is going to be a bust.
Let Caleb be Caleb!
Any Quarter Back who has to play behind a trash offensive line is going to look like trash. Caleb Williams didn't throw for nan interception and when he got a decent pocket he stepped up and made the play. The offensive line play was the worst thing Bears are going to have to fire this entire coaching staff like now!
A lot of it is coverage sacks with him holding the ball too long
There were plenty of times he had a clean pocket but just refused to make the pass when he needed to.
But the media said he was Superman
Someone please tell me why Chase is not the Bears QB coach at minimum
Where do you get that camera angle? Can I you watch games with that?
I can’t imagine what it must be like for Bears fans to watch Jayden Daniels. Oops.
No test is of course 100% but it would be interesting to see how Caleb Williams and some of the other rookie QB's, including Daniels, would do or even did on it.
mR gEnErAtiOnAL is simply overrated and over hyped.
He is not taking what defenses give him and he misses easy throws. 2 deadly sins in the NFL
Def not the wind on this one. 10:18 number 15 clothing blowing to our right, throw to our wide left. I think his struggles have to do with how the Bears have him working. He's having to relearn everything out there.
I played DIV 1. QB at small D1 program
FYI ? D1 or higher
You have NO CLUE have fast these defenders are
97 percent that seems open ? DB’s will close the distance much faster than Caleb’s arm . These GUYS are freaks
You are throwing to SPOTS
Now imagine 4 LIONS rushing you
Not a Bears Fan but he will get it in time
WR’s are dropping balls
Chase has played QB in the NFL. Pretty sure he knows how fast NFL defenders are much better than you do. Did you think he was just some guy with a webcam?
Center playing guard, after Tev went out, again!!! Guard playing tackle,as a QB you know this is not good!!
I’m 36 This Year & Been Watching Football For Over 20 Years & I’ve Never Seen A Unlikable 1st Overall Pick
Are you sure you don't want to be the offensive coordinator? The bears still need you. 💪
can't wait for the Purdy analysis!!!!
Bears fans thinking this guy is a franchise quarterback is delusional.
What does it say about the GM who drafted him?
@ I like how the Packers do it with their quarterbacks. They sit their quarterbacks and develop them and when they start they produce.
It’s a complete mess in Chicago
I'm with you "it's a total games number".😉
Bears need to run drills this offseason with an extra man on defense rushing over and over again so he can learn to deal with the pressure. He’s clearly being told too much between starts and is melting down, these aren’t adjustments he’s going to make during the season with the escalating pressure week by week.
😂
Some of predicted this
Our offensive line is questionable in pass protection, let’s send all the receivers 20 yards or more out 😂 I remember this happening all the time during the Andrew Luck area. Grigson got pretty much all the blame for having a bad offensive line. But if your offensive line is not elite, you might want to consider not calling a bunch of slow developing plays.
OL sucks
The play calling is even worse 18:14 - shows that a slant route from kmet would have gone for a 30 yard gain
Stupid stick routes
They should be running short slants and doing PA roll outs with this terrible line
Waldron is brain dead
We should fine Wauldron tripping up Caleb’s progress.
caleb may not be playing as good as he should but you see this o line getting walked back or flat out beat instantly its probably the reason hes rushing things. Also maybe get him on the move more because he does that well
In man Allen has to keep running the dig.
On the first play of the video review. Why did the wr run into the linebacker?
Caleb is Ass it’s like he never studied his playbook, Glad Washington selected Daniels!!😊
If you know it’s man and see the line shifting, snap the damn ball and give yourself the advantage.
Bench Caleb Williams and play Tyson Bagent
They just fired Shane Waldron. I'm surprised they didn't get rid of Eberflus.
I am not the Bears organization is the worst in the sport. Half measures are there M.O. Look for Eberflush to make it thru the entire season. Seriously how many NFL organizations would still have a coach on the payroll after losing 17 straight Sunday road games?
Loving these. Still hoping for a russel wilson review.
It’s coming tonight!!
If Caleb just takes some easy throws it will open up slot more down field
The kid was great at USC. Dont know what's happening.
Williams is not regressing. The only thing wrong is that he isn't playing the worst defenses in the league.
Playing well against the #32 and #31 passing Ds was deceiving and anyone who believed Williams would be the next Mahomes because he looked OK against really bad teams was fooling themselves.
God the bears are awful packers 45, bears 6. It's gonna be a jersey burner.
I’ve got PACK 42 - 🐻 6
Gonna be a bloodbath!
Good news today! Waldron has been sent packing! We will all learn how Brown handles this offense but I promise the first time he calls a handoff to a backup lineman on goal to go I will scream. lol!
Lol rock bottom?? No no its going to get much worse my friend
Chase theres no reason why you shouldnt be on the Bears payroll again. But i would Bagent moving forward 1000%.
To my untrained eye, are the routes too long for CW to hit? Why not make his game all about short passes? Never think about long stuff - yet. And tell him it is ok to be an interception machine! He needs to get used to throwing, not standing.
He to busy trying to not throw ints is what this look like.
💯
Same thing they did to JF1
Real talk!!!
Fire everyone and hire Ben Johnson
