Good morning Sir. It's 11: 30 a.m. in my time zone. This soup recipe is great for the winter here in 🇨🇦. Harty soup! Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing! ❤️🙏🇯🇲🇨🇦
yes, it is. On the second I add different beans for more protein or more noodles and maybe tomato paste. or add tomato paste, cooked hamburger, chili powder. and since you are in Canada, try Habitant minestrone.
Always loved this recipe for leftover meats. Soups don't always happen in Australia even during winter. When it is winter, raining horribly and cold, yes soup is the thing. Thanks for reminding me of how simple and delicious this soup is. Keep cooking Dave it is wonderful for all who follow you or just flicking through youtube.
Dave - you’re the best. With colder days ahead this is a perfect soup. I like the Minestrone soup as a base because it can be served for my Vegan daughter and I can add meat for the other folks. Your recipes are, as always, easy to follow. All the ingredients are real. No artificial anything. Love it. I’m going to try my hand at those buns and ginger cake (one of my favorites) too. ❤😊 from Texas
What a delicious soup Dave my second favourite of all soup tomato being first , I’m making this tomorrow and some of your lovely buns thank you , your baking all looked delicious what a week of lovely meals you are going to have 😋looking forward to those Italian recipes , Amanda xx
Hello our. Dear friend yet again another delicious recipe minestrone one of my favourites many thanks for this super warming and budget friendly soup plz keep your wonderful recipes coming so grateful to you
I really enjoy your baking segments however it would be great to see more of these meal segments…this looks yummy & soup and a side of bread is one of my favorite meals! Thank you!
A delicious bowl of soup! I love Minestrone and make it quite often in my slow cooker. I can’t wait for August when I start picking my tomatoes to make soup. And, I’ll always have homemade garlic bread to go with it! Heaven! 😋😊🇨🇦
Will be making this soup for sure Dave so thanks for the recipe - easy but delicious. I always try to use up spare veg - hate the idea of throwing anything out - currently making a lot of pea and lettuce soup as I always have lettuce left over after the weekend and that soup gives me lunch for working week ahead. Frugal is cool!! Thanks again for all your work, hope you're getting a good week. Cheers.
Minestrone Soup is absolutely delicious & so easy to make at home, I made a big pot a couple of weeks ago, & have portioned up & frozen a few bags for keeping me going over the coming weeks. I usually also add some chopped canned tomatoes to the pot to make it stretch even further. 🥶 It’s definitely soup weather here in the UK, great to have some some internal central heating in the form of a big bowl of warming soup.🥣☺️ Going to check out your milk buns recipe & the ginger cake recipe to have with some custard.😋 Take care & thanks as always. 👨🍳👌👍
Have been collecting veg liquids in the refrigerator this week so was planning a veg soup and have homemade bread for tomorrow. Brrrr, it is cold. Last night we dined on the USA Inauguration Congressional Luncheon menu or rather my cobbled together cheapo shortened version from what we had on hand. The budget menu was imitation crabcakes, tomato tartar and bay sauce, pickled vegetables, potatoes au gratin and homemade ice cream with apples and caramel sauce. Everything turned out really good at
Partly what I call fridge soup. I make it with all those bits of veg leftover in the fridge. Particularly good is to chop up the peeled stem from a broccoli head, the bit you usually throw away.
That looks so tasty. This is my 1st vid of yours. Ive been scrolling through your other vids. Im going to enjoy cooking a lot of them. Looking forward to future vids too.
Ooooooh looks and sounds delicious oh and have you been in our sideboard Dave? That’s one of our bowls there you are eating your soup in 😂😂🏴😉ok you have lunches all ready for the week, I think I will organise a bus trip for all your fans, wait for a knock on your door Dave we are all on our way😂😂
Fabulous Dave as always. Perfect for this time of year and as it’s homemade, it couldn’t be better. I’ll shake the fridge and see what comes out and make your bread rolls as well. A really delicious and comforting lunch or supper. Happy days. ❤xx
Awesome 👍 definitely timely for good and cheap recipes, I can't wait for the marscapone recipe, you just about need to take out a second mortgage to buy it here😂 cream, milk and related products have become very expensive in southern New Zealand though not as bad as olive oil, 😅the brand I buy has gone from NZ 6.50/£2.99 a litre to NZ 33.50/£15.40 a litre in a year😬 great video 👍👋
You could add a pack of pre-cooked chicken and portion it all out into plastic food containers. Freeze it and use it as and when you need to. With the chicken - or beef - you’ll get extra protein and fat soluble vitamins.
Great to see another 100 subscribers! MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE AMAZING LIBRARY! Happy to see more soup! Winter necessity! This one wont' break the bank.
Gotta be honest, Dave... My minestrone soup is better (and cheaper) than yours. But I agree...add dried spaghetti ( I also add rice and lentils). Tin of chopped tomatoes, 4 cans of water and about 200g of frozen mixed vegetables. Works out at 5 cans of soup for about £1. Finally, I beat you !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great addition to this is Kale. I always try to lightly fry the tomato purée. Gorgeous
Sounds good....Thanks a lot.

I agree....a good bowl of hot soup and fresh bread on a cold winters day....fantastic.
Beautiful nutritious Minestrone soup! Indeed lovely with a fresh bun. And it's definitely the right weather here for a warm lunch.
I agree....hot soup and a fresh bun on a cold day....I don't think that pan of soup will last the week.
Nice one Dave, this is being made Friday!
Great....hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

I am the same, only it’s “Chuck it in soup” I call it.😂
Yes....It all goes in a good minestrone. Thanks.
FAB !!!
Many thanks.

Yes do give it a go....real simple and delicious. Thanks.
You can always freeze the remaining half tin of beans until the next time you make the soup.
I made a bean burger with them later in the week. Thanks.
😊😊
Many thanks.
Fabulous Dave as always. Perfect for this time of year and as it’s homemade, it couldn’t be better.
I’ll shake the fridge and see what comes out and make your bread rolls as well. A really delicious and comforting lunch or supper.

❤xx
Many thanks.
I use this soup as a base for different recipes. I guess a person would have to know how to cook first. You got it.
Yes it's a real versatie recipe. Thanks.
❤
Many thanks.

Wow that's a real price hike.....even in UK the mascarpone works out expensive but I think it will be worth it for a good fresh tiramisu. Thanks.
A couple of slices of smoked streaky bacon chopped and fried, before the veg went in the pan, makes a world of difference to the flavour.
Yes I know some people use the bacon in this recipe......Thanks.
Any chance of you making stottie?
Birdy
Yes I have a stottie cake recipe for the near future. Thanks.
You could add a pack of pre-cooked chicken and portion it all out into plastic food containers. Freeze it and use it as and when you need to. With the chicken - or beef - you’ll get extra protein and fat soluble vitamins.
Yes it's a very versatile recipe and some chicken in there would work well. Thanks.
For some strange reason I always thought Minestrone had meat in it? I’m going to make this now!
Some people but a little bacon in it.....But I like it with just the veg. Thanks.
Great to see another 100 subscribers! MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE AMAZING LIBRARY!
Happy to see more soup! Winter necessity! This one wont' break the bank.
Many thanks......yes this is a good hearty and really inexpensive soup....hope you give it a try.
I love broccoli but being on my own since my partner died I don’t put any brassicas in soup because it changes the flavour when not eaten fresh 😊😊😊
Yes broccoli would go in there but as you say it would change the flavour. Thanks.
"I love your content and would like to share your channel on my community page to help spread the word. Would that okay with you please?" Tammy
Yes....no problem, the more people who get to watch the better. Thanks a lot.
