Great info. That washer fluid is hard to see on boost blue. For the integra they told me 15% or 5000 miles for an oil change.

Great video and information, please reference your owner's manual when it comes to oil types, Honda recommends 0W-20 when it comes to Genuine Honda motor oil, when you get into different oil weights like 0W-30 or 5W-30 the manual reference to as ''commercial oils'' (Ex. Mobil 1, Valvoline or Motul). You can also use 0W-20 of your favorite brand, this oil weight applies from a ambient temperature ranges of -30C to 40C or -22F to 104F. Something very important to know is that "you cannot use engine oil additives." Ref. page 549. I took my time to read about this due to coming from the RB25/RB26 platform where 15W-50 or 15W-60 is the way lol.

@@RaceCarFriends yes. Honestly the 30 numbers should be consider if you track your car hard and use it to full R capacity. You want a higher number to provide higher viscosity when oil gets extremely hot. Type R sensor reaches up to 300F but if you ever track on a hot day and your oil peak to 260-275 you should chill and do cooldown laps. Everyone has different opinions about oils, thats just my take! Personally on FL I will do 5W-30 and install an oil cooler. A good point to take into consideration is bearing clearance when honda builds this engines, their suggestions is based on that too.
Coming from a tropical country where our ambient temperature was about 27 - 36 Celsius (80-100 F) throughout the year, it is recommended to use 5w30/10w30 oil. Some track days in our places running on 10w40.

@@RaceCarFriends yeah, but generally, the numbering on oil 20,30,40 is mostly depending on your surrounding temperature and also your engine temperature. Running on track in a tropical setting, means that your engine would run at higher temperatures. So a higher numbering of oil would mean better viscosity at high temp. However, for a type R, some brands like liqui moly/mugen would have different performance effects on the car
@@anassyazwi1779 Yeah the dealership recommends 0W-20 for the Type R, but I don't think they configure in that we live in Florida where we have sub tropical weather and days like today it was 103 degrees.
@@RaceCarFriends couldn't agree more. It does not hurt to invest more on the engine oil because healthy engine is everything. Especially the type R! Some of the fk8 in my country uses 5w30 for daily and some 10w40 during track days
@@anassyazwi1779 Yeah I think I want to switch to 5W-30 TBH but I also wanted the dealership to make the oil changes so I don't know cause they said that they wouldn't do it lol.
Really need to rev higher and release clutch slower to get a launch that avoids that initial bog down. I never plan to launch mine since the CTR is not a good drag racer.
You can also temporarily remove that under hood heat extractor for tracking. It's really a rain deflector. It's easily removed/reinstalled with 5 - 10mm screws to get more cooling in hot climes. Seems to help with coolant/oil temperature.
Did my own oil change after 2700 fairly easy street/track miles. My research has convinced me that Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20 with a Purolator Boss filter was the best current option for street/track use in Florida. Check out ruclips.net/video/hqBJQ23NFYc/видео.html - the Motor Oil Geek
