    This has provided me some inspiration on how to mount some hose reels for my pressure washing business. Thanks!

      Glad it helped! These rails just provide so much flexibility, you can slap anything on these bad boys! I’m upgrading to powder coated steel this coming week.

    Damn look at the Lightning ⚡ doing truck things

    • @JosephHerzog

      Yes! Tying things down in the bed still stresses me out. Haven't really pushed it yet as a TRUCK

    Great idea! Definitely going to do something similar in my Lightning.

      Thanks so much! I don’t usually do projects like this so I doubted myself so it’s nice to get a little validation that I didn’t royally screw it up! 😂

    I recommend buying a mat for the bed since you don't have a spray in bed liner to protect from scratching and denting plus it helps with items not moving around if you don't strap it down. Nice looking truck👍

      Definitely! It's on the long list of upgrades. Only get paid every 2 weeks so have to pace myself 😂

    Great idea, thank you for this video, I might try something similar using aluminum T-tracks and stainless hardware

      They work great! I ended up making custom flag poles out of materials from Lowe’s

    Watch out for galvanic corrosion (since you used aluminum and another metal and will probably get wet) but great idea though

    I use hot glue gun to hold parts together temporarily. I have a china gun that takes dewalt batteries. Works really quick

    Too late for you, but I recommend painting the fender washers and maybe even the bolt heads as experience tells me they will rust like mine did here in humid GA. Paint anything zinc plated ... so I guess I'm saying paint the rails also.

    • @JosephHerzog
      @JosephHerzog  Год назад

      That thought definitely crossed my mind! I also thought of possibly getting them powder coated. Wanted to make sure I liked the concept before dropping more money into them. But I completely agree. Probably will go with black. Great suggestion!

    • @JosephHerzog
      @JosephHerzog  Год назад

      Never too late to improve! I can always just unbolt the rails to paint/powder coat/etc.

      @@JosephHerzog I like the way it looks now, so maybe you can find some paint color that looks like it does now. There's always the black $4 rattle can at Walmart.

    Where can i find those spacers

  • @vicc6744
    @vicc6744 9 месяцев назад +1

    were the holes for the uni-strut already in the truck bed?

    • @JosephHerzog
      @JosephHerzog  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yep! Those threaded holes are for Fords “BoxLink” system. I just removed the hardware that was there and bought matching bolts from Lowe’s. I don’t believe all ford trucks come standard with BoxLink though so your truck may or may not have these

    PVC Pipe instead of square tubing for spacers!

    Why not use L track instead of unistrut?

    Whole time I was like “yes Big 12/UC flags will look GREAT”

    • @JosephHerzog
      @JosephHerzog  Год назад

      Yuss Justin! I like the way you think! I plan on tailgating the UC vs OK game this year. My parents had a headache of a time with parking this past week, it got a lot more competitive with the conference shift.
