Man, I just started really diving into this game and it’s an absolute blast. I love the mixture of RTS, TPS, and RPG.
Its really refreshing to swap on the fly

Love the more vibrant maps of France. The mappers of GoH are very very good. Eastern front was fun, but the tactical gameplay of the hedgerows looks like some intense and close quarter fighting will create for some interesting battles.

Why are you so excited about it? Just curious. It looks the same as all the other ones? I haven't played the game in a long time, nor have I played MP. So I'm just wondering what the hype is about.
I cant speak for Zaq but;
Its Americans which we didn't have (officially) as part of GoH until now (next week official release)
25 New maps, from France to Bulge to Germany which are super high quality and add tons of new assets to editor as well
GoH looks and plays and runs way better than "the other ones" assuming you refer to MOW(AS1-2)
This doesn't even begin to discuss the new missions (like 6 for Germany, 6 for Americans and 4 skirmishes for the USA) as well as their content update which adds a bunch of new vehicles etc etc
@@theShermanator It's a massive update! So much being added, and the new terrain as well. I was starting to get fed up of fighting in Russian villages and Finnish villages, now this DLC brings built up European towns and villages with actual houses. Not to mention the new bunkers being added. Should be a fun DLC.
I really can't wait to get my hands on it next week and to see the content you and Diplex release on it! SP missions, Conquest, MP, and then Diplex does custom editor battles which are also enjoyable. I have so many map ideas, hope one day I can work with someone, one of my steam friends who do scripting, to script a defence mission on one of the planned maps I want to make with this DLC and you can play it. Always enjoyed watching the defence MoW AS2 missions you played, watching you set up a defence. Hope to do that with this DLC over the quieter winter months. Fingers crossed anyway! Looking forward to the next video! 👍
Glad you like the voice lines. I'm one of the other voice actors, and after all these years of Men of War reusing the same lines over and over again, hopefully this new stuff is refreshing for everyone.

Wow, that defense battle with the Chaffees was awesome. Cool tanks and a lovely map! I'm definitely gonna try out the Chaffees ASAP in my first Liberation Conquest when it releases :)

if you put down a foxhole with a G.I on a ground level defence position, select a mg, switch to manual control and put the mg up against the slope a littlebit inside foxhole. when deployed, the barrel should just be over the sanbags, giving the crew much more protection on all sides and even against light arty!

works perfectly well with 80+-mm mortars too! good against counter arty, grenades and HE shells from at guns or tanks
Oh man, the WP rounds. In the MACE mod, I kinda cheesed the hell out of it when I found something really scary (Maus or King Tiger for example) as a long range Molotov cocktail. Worked surprisingly well assuming you both got into range and hit the target.
not a bad idea, im hoping the WP rounds get to be useful against tanks too down the line, think they are looking into em now

Really enjoy these GOH replays! Only quibble would be (specific to this battle) don't think many Panzer III E's & F's were fighting during 1944 🙄. Chaffee's yes & a very wise choice by Sherm!
Well yeah, but this kinda starts off in like super early war right, like North Africa era I guess, seeing as I started with a Stuart and the enemy starts with Pz 1s 2s and 3s
Conquest starts in ~41 and ends in 45 unit wise anyway, unless you mod it I guess

Willy Pete are OP y'all. Bazooka with HEAT rocket can only kill truck/halftrack driver, but Willy Pete rocket can burn the entire squad inside 😢

the chaffe in my opinion is one of the best light tank of that time period it has good speed pretty good gun and over all a good tank

Being used to conquest enhanced, it's not unusual for me to spend about 2 hours on an attack mission.
You can't just send your heavy Tanks expecting they will overun the opposition.
Combined arms is the only way.
Support your tanks with infantry and anti-air, support your infantry with Tanks and Mortars, support your army with heavy and medium artillery, recon before you move otherwise you are going to receive devastating loses.

No, the infantry overhaul for all units has only been announced, not actually pushed
Can you destroy these hedgerows with Demo charges? In the Update they said you could do that
I guess I should try, the bushes only probably yes, however some also have a mound below it, so you cant really easily traverse them anyway

Depends;
Conquest can be played in COOP vs AI or just by yourself against AI
GoH also has multiple other MP PvE and PvP modes though this isn't that

honestly they need to sort out conquest, the dlc looks great, but no matter what i try conquest becomes a method which is dull and if you move outside it you get screwed
I disagree personally, enough options to change how you play conquest, going for tanks or arty or even light vehicles or better infantry first etc, but thats my 2 cents
@theShermanator the issue for me is, you sit defending for half an hour doing nothing, as if you try to go let's say infantry focus you're going to be in a world of pain due to the conquest ai spamming artillery, and artillery spam on your side is also dull, defense missions in conquest are static with zero required movement if you set up properly. If they did let's say a miniaturised sort of frontline system, which for the Utah map showcased in your video would be pretty great, it'd be a lot more infusing and allow for more intense fighting, and making full use of the map
Well there are mods that let you only defend or attack if you prefer
@theShermanator yes but that's a terrible bandaid for the issue, the fact is, defending and attacking is poorly made and this issue is aggravated by bad ai

I think the developers would like to see some money for their hard work, besides this DLC feels like GoH 2.0 so I doubt its gonna be free
@@theShermanator honestly, this DLC could go for 30$ easy based on how much it adds. Also, I’m sad the WP can’t murder tanks as easily as in the MACE mod lol.
