I asked the customer service regarding how many slots it has and also checked all the specifications provided on HP's website but the customer service said it only has a single slot and there wasn't any mention of a secodary slot on the specification sheet either. The exact model I am talking about is "HP Omen 16-wf1025TX". Can you let me know if this is the same laptop you are reviewing and if it really has a secondary port. To my knowledge, the M.2 Gen3 slot should be backward compatible so if I plugin my Gen4 SSD, It should work although a bit bottlenecked, right?

I am currently making a decision whether or not o purchase this 14th Gen CPU Laptop form Hp (with the rtx 4070) but I am worried about the Thermal performance because I live in a hot climate. Does the 14th gen cpu use less power than the 13th gen cpu? I assume something like the Legion Pro 5i (rtx 4070) has better temps overall compared to this?
@@jorriskomb834 Legion Pro 5 with the Ryzen CPU and RTX 4070. I had the Pro 5i but the motherboard suddenly died on me. Sent it back and got the Ryzen version. No issues. Completely satisfied.
I had a doubt. I got an offer for 1.2 lakhs for a loq with i7 14th gen and a omen for 1.35lakh with i9 13700hx which one should i go with. Both comes with 4060 8 gb and 16 gb ddr5 ram but the clock sppeds are different and the omen has 1440p screen. I will wait for your reply and expertise Thank you
As gpu wise, it makes no difference between 115 and 140 watts as its locked at 115 watts anyways I9 13th 13600hx should be at at par with i7 14th gen But i think price wise, go with loq and save 15k. But u can go with either if price is not an issue

As far as i know , the recall was for Desktop CPUs , not laptop. As of now, Intel is stopped the recall Moreover, there are no issues seen in this particular variant. Dont worry

Don't know about the temps but yes it has 140tgp. But you know what? The temps in newer omen is pretty good. I mean the thermals are good. I know because I own the same omen with ryzen 7 variant.
Any idea about which Omen 16 (2024) have full numeric keyboard? Italian HP Online store says no one, but it's wierd. I see a numeric keyboard here.....
The one you found on store is the older version [2023] which has 4 arrow keys and no numpad, this is the new 2024 version which has number pad and small arrow keys in the middle.

Cant personally comment in Loq's cooling capability as compared to OMEN in short and long sessions as it doesnt have any exhaust vents on sides. Omem's cooling is EPIC.
Genuine question. With such a high power CPU, why are we using DLSS balanced which has a very low render resolution (less than 720p)? Is it to widen the performance difference between 13th and 14th gen CPUs since the GPU load will be much less? I'm pretty sure the performance difference would be less at native 1080p and even lesser at higher resolutions as the games would be more and more GPU bound.
There should be 3 usb ports in any laptop. Lets say if you want to use external keyboard and mouse and you have used both the usbs. Now you have to remove one for pendrive or usb cable etc. I have hp omen 2016(i7-6700hq, gtx960m) and it has 3 usbs.

Of course r7 is weaker than 14th gen i7, but I what I wanted to say was that the other hardware is the same so the thermals are good

HP omem has a lot of varients within lots of regions with lots of combinations. So its important to check model number before u buy.
