The comparison between the two speakers is not level matched therefore people are going to always prefer the louder one, regardless of EQ differences. It's really important to run them through something that does level matching, even better if it does psycho acoustic level matching such as EBU based.
So i have both and got both to test which one id like and return the other. You lied. The xb sounds way better in person. The clip gets louder but sounds bad in comparison.

I’m not really sure why companies are not putting major pairing protocols inside these ultra portable speakers. It is an innovation that we are DYING to see.
It’s finally give people a reason to buy the Clip 4 over the GO3 because currently you pay almost double for just extra battery and a different mounting solution.
The JBL clip4 is far away much better on sound quality than Sony Srs-xb13, the highs and mids are more punchy and accurate with a lot of details on the clip 4 and the bass regenerates and amplifies in an enclosed space (room), while the Xb13 sounds cleaner but the mids and highs are too compressed hence sounds thinner and sharper thus sounds unprofessional except for its punch bass.
Did you say clip 4 has more bass than the xb13? Is this correct? I thought the xb13 has boomy bass that ecos. Why most you dont prefer that deep boomy echoing smooth bass that surrounds, that is woofer like? Sony has that bass but y'all prefer those thumpy strong punchy bass only and not the soothing big hall type bass which I like. Sony being a small speaker, has that woofer type bass.
The clip 4 would only really make sense if it had partyboost. I’d be happy to spend a little extra and go for the clip instead of the go if I knew I could pair it to my flip, but since the only benefit of the clip is longer battery life I saved $30 and went for the GO
I have a Samsung phone and i can connect two media outputs at a time. I also have a flip 6. I connect both . And they both seems to have same latency. So its like unofficial party boost😅
No 3.5mm jack on both but worst part is jbl dont have mic too which is really saddening. I dont know why these big companies are into removing features and accessories. People are looking into providing features to make their products more capable and more convenient for users but now a days big companies are competing in removing things and it has become a trend for them. Example, apple iphone also removed earphones, removed 3.5mm jack, removed charger. What is actually going on?

I like the more expensive audio quality of XB-13 because Clip 4 loudness doesn’t travel far from the speaker where Sony’s DSP gives more expansion.

@@jcray214 I can asure u as a Jbl Clip 4 owner and XB13 that Clip 4 it's signifcantly better than xb13 all but bass where xb13 has a little advantage.
i use vlc player equalizer to easily change sony xb13 sound quality to so much higher and deeper

in Europe the Sony xb13 goes on sale for the equivalent of $35 quite regularly. Its original price is crazy
