- It’s been a while since I ran the Malibu successfully on Nitrous at the track. So this past weekend we took the Malibu to National Trail Raceway to test, and get a base line on my Monte Carlo.
We were having a blast clowning around until I cracked the nitrous bottle on the Malibu and I got a reminder… that you don’t have to have a 4 second car to get yourself in a bad position at the track.
Alot of people think how the hell can you crash just going in a straight line?These are the same people who have never been in a really quick car and don't realize just how fast even a 12 second car is.Glad you and the Malibu are good.😊
These are the same people who watch their favorite athlete and think they can do better because they played madden once or hit a homerun in little league
I think so many people watch channels like this because we all miss the days when craftsmen were common. The retail life isn't good for anyone.

@KevenTomlinson plenty of people are very proud of their family when they shouldn't be. Our whole way of life changed in the 90s when the government realized they could make more money by providing companies with cheap foreign labor than they could by standing with domestic labor. Eventually the math will stop mathing and those who can still do things will survive, while people relying on cheap labor to keep the stock numbers high will not.
I had a construction company building bridges and post and beam building materials. I can tell you all kinda sob stories about nafta and gatt.

I think the fan base of these channels all have the same kinda background, conservative, hard working, and love to have some real fun. I know I can totally see myself right in the middle of all this stuff. A good friend and I always talk about coming out to an event but I think the closest you guys get to Minnesota is your home track.

I was at Lake Cumberland this weekend. Was a great event but my livestreams didn't do as well as I'd liked. But talked to Cj, Nick, Kcmaxx and couple others. Had a good time but def missed you guys.

Rub white out or paint pen. on the numbers let dry and rub off excess with a cloth lightly sprayed with carb cleaner

Too bad you can't get them old nitrided valves, the transmissions in 1975 buddy of mine picked up a 1965 el camino that had set in a garage for so long the paint had cracked but not any paint job this car was costume show car back in the late 60's crazy part it had what was known then as a starlight transmission cable shifted from the Column but wait it was a 904 worked up with 727 parts they were found in police interceptors but that car was wicked fast with a built 327 we street raced the heck out of it back then did not get beat in town much or the track in its class of automatics small blocks , channel is so much fun and informative . monti is a perfect bracket car lol

I agree completely. You do not have to be in a 4 second car to get hurt. I wrecked a 48 second backhoe once. Going through the town of forest city in the mid 1990s. Street dept. Raised the man hole covers for paving. That can cause a little bit of bounce
Another great video Bill, the Malibu was definitely hanging the front tires in the air on that first pass. I could definitely use that carb for my 68 Chrysler with a 446 cu. in. Wedge, it runs pretty good but could definitely use a bigger carb. It’d definitely be cool to hangout with you guys for a day though, keep up the great work guys.

The flower portion of this video is hilarious. You had some pretty good one liners in there. As far as the Malibu almost hitting the wall, I’ve noticed in your videos that you guys don’t do some type of a maintenance program where you guys nut and bolt everything before race there’s a lot of overlooked things, that shouldn’t happen if you go through a checklist and make sure that certain things are taken care of things like low transmission fluid was,yada yada yada I’m not trying to be critical, but it seems like something so simple that could be taken care of. Keep up the great work and I’ll keep watching your channel. I just want you guys to be safe.

I have to say the Montecarlo is about a 1 second faster than I expected but had me laughing when you launch it and here comes the drive by now that's some funny chit there Bill. The Malibu never seize to amaze me that is definitely one quick street car. I feel you Bill about the happy wife happy life lol. You really need to advance past the 1980's. A fuel injected 6.0 with a stock 4l80 would be SO MUCH better combo in that El Camino. Cruise control would be a piece of cake, and it could be comfortably driven anywhere. Step in to the next century with the rest of us, and enjoy the fruits of technology advancements!
