Seeing you say "quitting", I first gasped, and then took several moments to reflect on what your channel has meant to me. What you have done here has given me such joy and appreciation for all that the Amalfi Coast is and will forever mean to me.
My wife and I stayed in Praiano for 5 days in May, 2015. We both agreed that the greatest single day of our married life was our first full day on the Amalfi Coast when we walked Sentiero degli Dei from Praiano to Positano. Little did we know what the future would hold immediately after we returned home. I learned upon my return to work that I had been laid off after 21 years with my company (the announcement was made while I was still on vacation). Then, in March of 2016, at age 48, my wife was diagnosed with a rare cervical cancer. She died 8 months later. When COVID hit two years later, one of my only refuges was your RUclips channel. It helped me relive what was without question one of the happiest times of my life, something I was (and am) no longer able to do with her. I have found it impossible to impress on people how important and sustaining my memories of our Amalfi Coast vacation are. It was the pinnacle of our life together, and to lose all that I knew and treasured about my life in the few short months that followed, I will simply never understood.
Thank you with all my heart, Nicki, for the gift that is the memory of the best week of my life with my best friend and soulmate, my late wife Rhonda.

Thank you Steve for your story. It bought me to tears as I know exactly what you are talking about. From 1992 I lived in London with a Jewish lady who loved Italy. We travelled together to Venice and to Amalfi. It was the happiest time of my life and I would dearly love to return. However watching the Positano Diaries are a weekly connection to happiness. Blessings to you Steve.

I agree, when I can’t be in Italy….their videos help ‘get me through’ until I can visit Italy myself. (…..actually, one time while in Italy, I watched a video of theirs. It made me ‘get-out and get-going ‘ on a cold dreary day in LeMarche).

Carlo’s mother is beautiful. She reminds me of my mom when we got her ready for a special occasion. She enjoyed being pampered and felt beautiful. As she said, these women grew up in an era where makeup and fussing over themselves was definitely not a part of their lives. Taking care of family was always more important. ❤.

Wow she looked so beautiful. I loved how natural she looked not too made up. The food was fabulous. When I was in Italy, I was so surprised how much I ate and drank and never gained a pound. Fresh foods and no preservatives. The US is trying to kill us with all the chemicals. Hard to avoid all of them but I try.

Nicki is very English even though she has lived in Italy so long. Also she is from a filming professional family whose standards were probably very high. There is room for both of you on the diaries and in fact it enhances them having such different people presenting it. The best is when you hug each other and show everyone you are in love. Your drone shots are amazing so you have a good skill there Carlo. We love you both and it doesn't matter to me what language you use. Just thank you both for sharing with us. 😍

I love hearing how the earlier Italians lived on your Amalfi Coast. Original Foods, growing them on the cliffs, foraging and especially more on your Italian Chestnut. You need to know how special the Chestnut Poles are, the ones used for the trellising. Love to you guys. Can’t wait to see the house and your work on making it YOUR Home.
Dearest Carlo, you are a pure delight of a human being. I am especially interested to hear stories from the time before and after the war. Also stories of how these houses were built without the aide of advanced machinery. Can you include photos of the times before 1970. Anything about the history of Positano would be a great treat. My grandmother was born in Gualtieri and my grandfather in Frisanco. Thanks for sharing the treasures of your life and family.

My Sunday tradition is “travelling to Positano “ after we have lunch. I absolutely love today’s video. I think we got two for the price of one! Yes, you both have different styles and it is that what makes your videos even more enjoyable. I love when Carlo speaks italian. And no, I don’t speak italian. I put the automatic english subtitles because I can understand english. I don’t know if RUclips lets me put spanish subtitles. Never tried. But I would watch it even without sound. There is so much expression in your eyes and smiles and what you show us that I just enjoy what I see. The views, the plants, the dogs, the houses, the food, the family. I love it and appreciate all your effort into making these videos!!!

I am English and Italian, living in Germany. I moved here by chance in mid 2019. Then stayed.
I went to an adult school to learn how to speak German which is very very difficult. I would not be able to make a video in German and express myself like I can in English. English is strongest language. My mother and family were born in Italy.
We are all a jumble of languages from around the world.
It is great that Nicki is English and Carlo is Italian. That is the charm of your videos.

I remember about a year ago when Nicki was understandably burnt out and wished to go be with her father. I wrote in a comment that she could do that and she can get other people to make videos for her. Carlo, Sky, and other Positanesi can make videos and they all benefit from the platform Nicki has built. It’s inspiring to see the ways you’re developing your content to serve both yourself and your loyal fan base.

I loved your video Carlo. I love the scenery. I got to come to Positano twice back in the 2000's. I met a wonderful Italian gentleman named Carlo also and had a very romantic time with him. We rode on his scooter from Sorrento where he lived and still does, and hiked down to the D'Adolfo Beach I believe it was called. Then I took a boat back to town. Every time I see your beautiful town those wonderful memories come back. I am 76 now so will not be coming back again. I will relive through your wonderful videos. And your English is awesome. I love your home and looking forward to how you decorate your other home in Tuscany. Nikki your soap looks fabulous. I will need to order some when it is back in stock. Keep doing videos Carlo.
