I also just really dont think they should have gotten pop song writers to write narrative driven songs. they are not in the same league and it's sad cuz the line "this is the thanks I get" is actually sooo good for a villain song it just wasnt used properly XD
@@AW-ee8fhI honestly think that out of all of the villains songs, Magnifico’s should’ve been more like friends on the other side or Be Prepared, they are both energetic but not so much that they sound lackluster. And they should’ve kept the old plot of him being genuinely evil with his equally as evil wife. I love Magnifico, but not in the way Disney intended. He is not the villain, the book was. He literally wasn’t evil enough so Disney had to make him be possessed by some random spell book.
Okay so I saw the movie as much as I would love they used the concepts for it I like it but there a line in the song that makes go hmm and that be "I don't charge you rent" in my mind I went ' but aren't your people's wishes the rent?'
This just upended all of my expectations: I LOVE THIS! It’s like you took every classic Disney villain song and mashed it together into another one ( in the best way by the way). You know deep down, I wish the original song was this dark because I mean hello, it’s a villain song! But what I enjoy the most is that you captured Magnifico’s narcissistic personality and “woe is me “ attitude perfectly! Well done dude!
this is awesome and so creative?? all the changed lyrics work so well! in my opinion, they flow a lot more naturally, and are far more sinister sounding. very cool!
I love the crescendo from style to style. It fits so much not only the villains themselves but also Magnifico himself who, in the movie, goes from a funny megalomaniac to a dangerous psychopath during the story: mostly because during the verses, we go from amusing villains to terrifying villains -Facilier: He wants power for power and is evil 'cause it's good to be evil -Ursula: She wants power for revenge and uses people to get her goals -Scar: He wants power 'cause he is jealous of his brother and is ready to kill his own family to have it -Frollo: He is a killer, a wicked destroyer who takes advantages of the fact that he has the most important function of the city to destroy what and who he doesn't understand. Fun fact: all those villains have common things. 'The Little Mermaid', 'The Lion King' and 'The Hunchbach of Notre Dame' have been directed during Disney Renaissance. 'The Little Mermaid' and 'The Princess and the frog' have been directed by Musker and Clements. In 'The Little Mermaid' and 'The Hunchbach of Notre Dame', the songs have been composed by Alan Menken. In the french versions of 'The Lion King' and 'The Hunchbach of Notre Dame', Scar and Frollo are dubbed by the same voice actor, Jean Piat (who is deceased in 2018).
I just realized something if this song was made for the original story line that means that Asha is who he talking about when he says ‘if it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be here’ aka being her father
i swear in the original concepts of the movie asha was supposed to be the king's daughter, and the king and queen were gonna be a villainous duo. ofc disney scrapped it to play it safe because it was "too confusing"
“This is the thanks I get” if its sung by Caleb, who is an amazing voice actor and makes the song actually good. I’ve have heard the whole song, this is amazing, it shows you that it’s from wish but it’s also not idiotic lines that represent the two same things “I let you live here for free and I don’t make you pay rent” but the lines still represents the same as the old ones with; “discontent […] yet your living without rent”
They all actually sound like villain songs! And it isn’t just because they have the backing of their actual songs (similarly) but they sound sinister and the lyrics make sense. Well done!

This was probably my favourite song from Wish (even though it still falls flat in comparison to other villain songs) I love how you put a different spin on it!
The fact that this fanmade song is ten times more of an homage to classic Disney villains than the song we actually got in the movie (ya know, the movie that's supposed to be a giant homage to all of Disney's previous works) is WILD. I love it so much.
Each part is different, but it blends together so well it really could feature in an animated musical. I never saw Wish, but I saw a breakdown of this song (the original version), and this is so much better it might as well be a different song altogether. Congrats, Caleb!
i am very late but i cant help but imagine magnifico singing like this. not even the other villains singing this. it would be disney's way of 100 years; to make magnifico to sing the villain song that respects all the other villain songs! i'd love that.

This is so cool. Love that you did this in the different styles of the various Disney villains! Awesome work dude🤘
And thank you for everything Caleb, been really enjoying the covers and originals you’ve been dropping. Always puts a smile on my face. Keep rocking❤️
Love how you did the instrumentals in the styles of each villain's respective song.
Like Tim Curry, you elevate anything you’re in.
He didn't fix "TiTTIG"
He just made a new, better song with simular lyrics
I thought this was just gonna be a cover of the actual song with other villain's voices, but it's so much better than the original.
this is a TRUE 100 years villain song!
combining multiple iconic villian songs into something new
Damn you're a genius. Just goes to show that the concept of the song could have been amazing with a little more soul.
This makes me miss being not sick because I loved shout-singing this song when I needed to vent out my frustrations
Magnifico: (sings)
Dr. Facilier: Hold my cards
Ursula: Hold my potions
Scar: Hold my food
Frollo: Hold my rosary
Why is this so true?Magnifico is kinda of an interesting character but this music very meh-
Frollo's part was actually insane
See? This is what the original villain song should’ve been: have a good soundtrack, catchy lyrics, all the stuff we know Disney did well back then.
ALL OF THEM(especially frollo) GAGGED MAGNIFICO HARD
2:13 The spirit of Tony Jay lives on! You captured his energy perfectly!
I can vividly picture how Ursula is moving as she's singing.
Okay, this is epic! Remixing the lyrics and music to fit other villains is genius! I got chills!
And this is how you do a Disney villain song right, Magnifico
I love Wish, but I admit it's very lacking, so I love how the fandom is just like, "Yeah, let's actually make this good."
It’s already gud tho
I like it, too. It’s not great, but it’s still good.
It has so mainy good ideas that are so rushed and unfinished (great job there Disney).
"Complaining bout your living, yet your living without rent" is is much better than "and I don't even pay you rent!"
My favorite is scar's section, and I think it fits the best and has the best transition to the next one
EXACTLY
It fits so much not only the villains themselves but also Magnifico himself who, in the movie, goes from a funny megalomaniac to a dangerous psychopath during the story: mostly because during the verses, we go from amusing villains to terrifying villains
-Facilier: He wants power for power and is evil 'cause it's good to be evil
-Ursula: She wants power for revenge and uses people to get her goals
-Scar: He wants power 'cause he is jealous of his brother and is ready to kill his own family to have it
-Frollo: He is a killer, a wicked destroyer who takes advantages of the fact that he has the most important function of the city to destroy what and who he doesn't understand.
I love every musically inclined Disney adult hearing this song and going "that was awful, I can do better" and they fuckin do
“If you want a job done right, you gotta do it yourself.”
That was the original message of Wish
I just realized something if this song was made for the original story line that means that Asha is who he talking about when he says ‘if it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be here’ aka being her father
i swear in the original concepts of the movie asha was supposed to be the king's daughter, and the king and queen were gonna be a villainous duo. ofc disney scrapped it to play it safe because it was "too confusing"
When I saw this in my sub box I was like “No please!” I was pleasantly surprised to remember that you can make any song better!
0:06 duuude that sounds like will wood!!
OMGGG will wood is my favorite artist!
WILL WOOD MENTIONED 🐁🐁🐁🌕🌕🌕
“This is the thanks I get” if its sung by Caleb, who is an amazing voice actor and makes the song actually good.
I’ve have heard the whole song, this is amazing, it shows you that it’s from wish but it’s also not idiotic lines that represent the two same things “I let you live here for free and I don’t make you pay rent” but the lines still represents the same as the old ones with; “discontent […] yet your living without rent”
Honestly it is extremely well done here...like much better than it's original
@@JoeMama-me2yjI agree.
They all actually sound like villain songs! And it isn’t just because they have the backing of their actual songs (similarly) but they sound sinister and the lyrics make sense. Well done!
Please!!!! Put this on Spotify!!!! This is a true masterpiece.
Please! I gotta add this to all my playlists
Man, this is the villain song Chris Pine deserved
I love that this song uses four different styles/characters because it just proves that there were actual chances for the original to work
These are the times for the songs just in case if you wanted to hear the villain you liked the most your welcome 😊
The princess and the frog 0:00
The little mermaid 0:37
The Lion King 1:31
The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2:13
Now this are a better versions of This is a thanks I get song than the actual version we got in the film
Scar's part is peak. The voice, the lines, the instrumental. Everything.
fr bruh
Better then the original XD
But as expected from the great Caleb Hyles
It’s gud but nothing tops the songs from that masterpiece of a movie(being dead serious)
@@radiohostalastor Alastor likes movies or was it broadcasted?
Usala: " Walk a mile in MY shoes"
Meanwhile, Usala not wearing shoes.
You know it’s a phrase right.
@@fritzy8318 yep, thought it be funny to point it out.
I love this so much.
What I am, you are not - simple grammatically, but is so powerful, showing you are below him, instead of "i got these genes from outer space"
Perfect. No notes. Six seasons and a movie.
"Fine, I'll do it myself"
-Disney fans
Now THIS is a villain song!!
With the other villains, I can tell who’s about to sing just from the instrumental and beats. With Magnifico it’s just some random pop song
It's amazing how a couple of guys with a little bit of passion can make a better product than a dozen people who get paid to do this professionally.
Ursula saying “walk a mile in my shoes” kind of made me laugh.
THIS is the level of gaslighting I expect from my villains, thank you very much!
This is absolutely the best rewrite version of that song! I love it! It brings back the good old memories of having the Disney vibes!
You have no idea how much I'd love the entire song in each of thesse 4 styles, like a entire scar cover of this is the thanks i get would go so hard
Cunningham's law:
The easiest way to get the correct answer to a question is to pose an incorrect one.
I love how this movie named as "Wish". Like cheap clothing line. It looks like a original "designer" song when Caleb sings it, and well, Disney's versions is from "Wish".
This was probably my favourite song from Wish (even though it still falls flat in comparison to other villain songs)
I love how you put a different spin on it!
My Disney heart is feeling very happy-! Thank you I am so proud 🥹
i am very late but i cant help but imagine magnifico singing like this. not even the other villains singing this. it would be disney's way of 100 years; to make magnifico to sing the villain song that respects all the other villain songs! i'd love that.
FINE I'll rewatch Twisted the Starkidd musical! In all seriousness this was so fantastic and just shows their missed opportunity. You are a musical wizard!
This was FANTASTIC! You managed to turn a song that many agree was a lousy villain song... by making it a villain song for OTHER villains! Genius!
Facilier got that Oogie Boogie vibe
THIS IS AWESOME SOMEONE GET THIS MORE VIEWS
Kinda like all the villains were ashamed of how bad his song was "come here you little rat we'll show you how its done properly"
The ursula one my favorite. They're all amazing, but man, I'd willingly pay this guy to make a full version!
3 minutes and 6 seconds of musical gaslighting?? Yes please!
🎶✨
the Ursula and Frollo sections are downright BREATHTAKING
(nothing against the other two, I just like those two most)
