I just received my Clue #9 yesterday, so I'll be working on it today. As someone who usually presses seams open, I haven't been real happy with some of the pressing instructions, but I keep on, and as you say, I'll trust the process. I'm so looking forward to next month and the finishing!
This has been a struggle for me, too. I really do not like mystery quilts and I should have known not to do this one, too. 😀 The company is great, but mystery quilts, in general, are not my cup of tea. I am looking forward to the finished project, too! I hope I like it!
It's coming along. You're right some of the squares are hard to define....we will just have to trust the process and all will be revealed in the final joining of all the squares. It is a mystery.....
Gad zooks! I was confused, but then saw the block completed. Are you sure that "A" is before "E" but "B" is turned sideways before sewing to "G"? I think I will just close my eyes and lay my head down next to the sewing machine. Thank you Kris! You sure are a marvel! Marion in Oregon.
😆😆😆 It is hard to explain it since I can't show the pattern, so it really does sound confusing, doesn't it? This is one of the reasons I won't be doing this again. 😆
Is the yellow cabinet behind you an old tv cabinet? I ask because my parents have an oak one they’re wanting to get rid of and no one wants it. Seeing yours gives me an idea. Do you store fabric or quilts in it?
I think it was originally intended to be a tv cabinet, but I can't remember. 😀 I got it about 25 years ago at one of those unfinished furniture stores. It is just cheap pine but wow, has it held up over the years! I have used it in the playroom when my kids were little (adults now--late 20s and early 30s), in my craft room, in the spare bedroom for a bit--it has been well-loved! I currently store all of my UFOs and some vintage fabric in it. I hope this helps! It has been a great piece of furniture. I want to paint it again, but haven't gotten a minute to do that.
I wish I had thought of making another with different fabric!
It has been a fun twist!

I love the cabinet and definitely the color. I’m doing the same with the one I have.
Thank you
I love that! It is a wonderful storage solution!
