If only more people were like him and held the same values. How much better would this would be! I mean I couldn’t serve but I do my best to help the best I can. Send care packages with my girls and their Girl Scout troop. But even before that I did. I have lots of family that has/is serving. I also grew up near camp David. Most don’t take pride in our country anymore. I wish we could send them elsewhere!

I just lost my mom recently. She passed away at only 67! I miss her so much that despite being 45 I feel like a lost and lonely little boy without her! Your moms love and adulation for you is so touching and familiar! I doubt I have to tell you this, but please never take her for granted and never miss an opportunity to tell her how much you love her and how much she means to you! She (your mom) seems like a lovely woman!

I would not say like every mother. This is very nice to watch for me for example, as my mother' s most developed skill is to critizice me - since I was a little kid - and keeping a regular tension sometimes exploding into pure disdain. For a long time I doubted my own perception and it made me sick for many years. Now I know how people that are supposed to love and support you should behave, yet it is - recognizing the positivity - hard for me to imagine having such a relationship of mutual respect and pride with my mother. Anyway it is great to see this examples of genuine and well spoken affection and the world would be a better place if this was more common.

I didn't know why his channel was so captivating to me, but I quickly realized it's most definitely due to his charismatic, humble and outgoing personality traits plus being a navy seal who served at least 1 tour to Afghanistan instantly makes him a selfless man, a good role model, hero and he was built for this "story telling" shit. The way he speaks, his attention to detail, his facial expressions and hand movements to describe certain things or places is something special. It's mad talent and I was just thinking the other night how lucky his kids are to have the best story teller ever as a daddy lol ❤️

@@xsoxfatalx9721 I'm doing really well. Speaking honestly, I was a bad alcoholic for a long time, drinking to go to sleep due to depression. My mothers passing was my first day of sobriety.
I ended up fighting for my life and nearly losing that battle twice while hospitalized. My mom said to me a couple weeks before she passed that she wished I had never started drinking. It sucked that she didn't see my drastic change, but I'm 1 year sober now and as I had to do this for myself first, I owe a lot to her. Much love my friend. The pain doesn't get easier but it gets easier to manage.

You know, your right. Paul Harvey was one the best storytellers of all time. Now, MrBallen is ranked right up there with him! It's exciting. Most of the storytellers out either throw their voices to try to mimic the story they are telling instead of their own voice thinking it leads to a much better experience for the listener. But it don't. It just comes off gimching. But people like Steve Harvey and MrBallen uses their own real voices and the stories reflect it! So very talented the two of them.
A son’s credit to his Mother shows his love and how well he was brought up.
I already loved MrBallen but Momma Ballen being included, being so loved and respected and cherished (and her calling you "Jonathan" and "Johnny" omg) definitely brings even more respect and love from me to all of this. If you're lucky, family is everything. My Mom does the bookkeeping for my brother's business and I do social media stuff when needed. It's a team effort! Such a talented Mom and son.
I have never rooted for someone to “make it big” as much as I have for you. Amazing family, amazing stories, amazing brand. I love how you’ve been able to channel this into a full time career that allows you to be with your family and enjoy a good life. After being a Seal, I’m thrilled you’re able to be able to live your dreams and your whole family gets to go on this journey with you. Really, I’m so excited your channel has grown so much. It's almost eerie how much Jessie reminds me of my own mother. My mom had that same sweet and humble reaction when a news outlet did a story about my life as a writer and I gave her a ton of credit (way more than she wanted -- and way less than she deserved) for my outlook on life and skill as a writer..

I lost my oldest nephew in Afghanistan. He never got to see his little baby girl... It crushed everyone and nothing was ever the same. It tore our family apart literally. So it gives the an overwhelming flood of emotions of great love of God every time i see our babies come home........ You are a mother and a woman any man or child would be blessed to be around. It is no wonder God sent him home to you alive, your the sweetest lovely mother in the world and you deserve evey gift God delivers to you. This is awesome. I recall, however long ago, knowing that your mom was a writer. Whenever you'd bust out with a $2 word or show a particular proficiency with language, or the way you never dumb things down, while also casually educating your viewers on terms they might be unfamiliar with, I'd think, that's his mom coming through. He keeps a low personal/family profile, but she, like a lot of us, didn't exactly come of age during a time that you had to be so careful. I don't know--I'm an author so I wondered if I knew her (I didn't/don't) and so I did do the research a couple of years ago, but I'm certainly not going to out her. He's aware enough that if he put her out there he knows what he's doing, but it's definitely not my place! She seems really lovely, doesn't she?

I tragically lost my son 32, my only child, 3 years ago. The interaction and love between you and your mom remind me so much of my son and me that it brought me to tears. Cherish the beautiful days, months, and years together, with great love can come significant loss.
Same, except my son was 21, almost 22. And it was over 5 years ago, though it seems like so much more recent. It brings me bittersweet tears to see this bond. ❤❤ My son was a great storyteller, too. People would gather to hang on his every word. Although, his stories were more on the humorous side of life.

I was going to say the same thing. As soon as she said "Johnathan", I was thinking that was such a mom way of referencing her son, but then she pulled out the "Johnny", and that sounded so cute to me for some reason. 🥰
