- eeeeee I'm so glad my freewrite alpha is finally here!! After waiting for a year and a half, I finally have my replacement for my beloved Alphasmart. Haven't used it yet (not drafting currently) but will post a full review when I do if enough people are interested! Besides the unboxing, I've also just been working on worldbuilding and formatting my notes in Scrivener! ₊‧°𐐪♡𐑂°‧₊
Side note: I've had people comment about my going to Starbucks when they support Isr3@l. You're absolutely right and I will not be giving them my money. I rarely, if ever, purchase anything there anyway and just go there to sit and write (like in this video). I support P@lestine and I appreciate those who commented! For anyone wondering, the Alphasmart's inability to save might have been that the internal small battery may have died. When I got mine, I'd heard that there could be troubles if the internal battery dies (not the AA batteries, the one actually inside the machine). But you can absolutely open it up with a screwdriver, pop the old battery out, and put a new one in, which is what I did. IIRC, it was a common watch battery or equivalent. You just unscrew the backplate, move the circuit board out of the way, and switch it out. I can't guarantee that's the problem, but if anyone has the same problem as you mentioned, it might be worth a try.
I follow these and like the idea of them, but I like rereading on a seperate screen. Idk if that made sense but I can't focus on both screen and keyboard, I have to choose one.
Absolutely! I use it to draft quickly, like for first drafts, when I’m not too concerned about it being perfect :)

Actually Starbucks UNIONS plastered Starbucks image over that controversy. Starbucks themselves do not condone or involve themselves with anything to do with that. Starbucks is suing the unions for involving them as the two work as separate entities. If you don’t believe me you can Google it
