I didnt actually need to sleep, just needed somthing to listen too. And I must say, I really did actually enjoy the story lots. Its facinating to know even our ancestors had a thing for miraculous fantasies.

I love to sleep because I love to dream.
Dreams are stories we can enjoy in our sleep, and some can become recurring dreams, my favorite dreams.
Keep a notebook and pencil by your bedside; use it to write down your dreams, beginning your writing as you start to wake. Keep your eyes as closed as possible, thinking only of the dream you just came out of so you can better recall them and not miss the little details. You’ll become familiar with where the lines are as you write more from your dreams. You can rewrite all these into a proper journal later to make them neat. The notebook is for the important raw visuals and everything said.

I don't manage to hear all episodes because when the story begins, I am falling soundly asleep. Thank and by the way, I enjoy much better when Thomas speaks the story, something in his voice is soothing and calm even though like I said, I get to hear the beginning and then I am out.
Dealing with a terminally ill brother and a recently widowed sister plus every day life stresses has made going to sleep elusive many nights. Desperation lead me here and for that I am grateful. Relaxing sleep has made me more able to cope and less likely to feel overwhelmed. I keep coming back to the same story and as long as I get to sleep I'll accept not knowing the ending.

Please, please do a video with the rain as background without the music. It would be wonderful to hear only the rain. I have tinnitus, along with 9 serious medical conditions, from being hit by a hit and run semi truck. I am broken like humpty dumpy, and your videos really do help me to sleep. I like using my headphones on this one so I can hear the rain, but I can't tolerate it because the background music is amplified and takes away from the story and the rain. The repetitive cords drive me crazy..

This is an amazing story although I just closed my eyes but didn’t drift off . It reminds me of my unfinished tale of a Japanese king returning to his kingdom on a lake . I love how the story is like a false awakening dream and the rain platters at the end sound like a sea of standing ovation . Your voice is soothing too . Good job and nice story ❤

Thank you so much for this channel! I’ve been suffering from insomnia recently and for years ASMR has done the trick but recently it hasn’t been working so I’ve been averaging about 2 hours a night. 5 minutes of this and I realised I was starting to feel tired and I was out in about 10! Best sleep stories I’ve heard!
Couldn’t tell you a thing, lay down for an afternoon nap (which is rare indeed) loved the rain--was there anything more?
A wonderful story and beautifully told. I listened during the day, not while wanting to sleep, so heard it from beginning to end. Love the intro about the butterfly which sets the scene, as well as the delicious sound of falling rain (even though not necessary at the moment as it's raining here a few feet from where I'm sitting!)
For everyone who has fallen asleep listening, I highly recommend having another listen when you're not wanting to sleep: this story has such a great ending. Traditional Japanese culture and spirituality 😍 so beautiful.

I fall a sleep with the man in the beginning of the story when he did sleep, I have no Idea what the story was about because this is the last thing I remember, and every time I open my eyes it still raining and I fall a sleep again, thank you so much ♥️♥️
