My brother and I rescued a young tuxedo cat. Little did we know she was with kitten(s)! All six kittens along with their beautiful momcat are asleep on their half of my queen sized bed! It's raining and cold outside and we are very fortunate to own our own rv and trailer, we are warm and dry while many are not.
I’ve always said that the best pets are the ones that find YOU. It certainly has been true for me - their sweet souls bring exactly what you need in your life. My calico and my chihuahua both conked out in my bed as we listened to your story last night, but I couldn’t stop smiling until its conclusion. This may be my favorite sleep story yet. Thank you! 😻
Many years ago my dad and I set a couple of chairs in the open barn door and started discussing the worlds problems. Then, a half grown kitten came around the edge of the house, spotted us in the barn door, and walked right up to us. As plain as day, he asked if he could stay, and how could we say "no"? Well, that was "Fugi", and he was a Godsend! One of the best cats I've ever known! 😊
Barn kats are beyond best. They know a thing or two bout birds and bees cows sheep and beautiful green trees all things living and how to protect mother nature. She's under the gun lately so barn catz support all of them including she..MN.
@@mamagrace3416 That's very amusing. Hubbies aren't what they used to be. Your cat or dog will love you always where hubbies, cheat, belittle and control wherever they can. Not ALL males but MOST
Thank you so much for your stories and what you do Stephen. I have OCD and many times already, your stories have helped me not spiral into panic attacks before sleeping, and listening to your stories helps me ground myself and relax again. Thank you ❤
Thank you, for stoking your beautiful emotional intelligence, to serve your tribe, with soothing tones...and for searching and searching for just the right words as if it was the most important thing in the world, to do so. Namaste, truly. It matters very much, that you are.
A sad story and so true to life but with a very happy ending ❤️ I love my cat, she’s independent but there’s something special and mysterious about our friendship❤️
I fell asleep listening to this last night and finished the story this morning. It was a nice reminder of why my cat Aurora helps make my life more complete. Thank you.
As you counted down before the start of the story tonight, j briefly felt the complete relaxation of an infant sleeping in its crib. What a lovely and novel feeling. Thank you, Stephen, for many peaceful falling asleep!
This story and the one about the man and his dog are my favorites. I listen to them over and over again. I like the slow lifestyle in small villages or countryside. The cities make me think of bright lights, sirens, and busy streets. That's not very relaxing. The country cottages in or near a village is very relaxing. I am also in favor of stories of dogs cats that befriend lonely individuals who change their attitude toward life. I can see all the stars in the night sky now, not overshadowed by street lights. I do hope you will write more that give a sense of peace, tranquility, and encouragement from helping a feline or pup find love from someone who has so much to give.
Absolutely wonderful, this could very easily become my very, very faourite sleep story. I proudly come from a long line of 'crazy cat ladies' (often/usually ginger) my big boy Wesley is curled up beside me, but I have to also admit to a cheeky 14yr old Chiahuahua looking at me with one sleepy eye from the bottom of my bed also. Sincerest thanks, at 71yrs not much thrilles me these log winter nights but your wonderful stories. Bless you. Cheers, Ann (&David) Tasmania Australia Good Night
A very touching and beautiful story an abandoned cat 🐈 thawing the frozen heart ♥️ of an elderly lady! My animals keep my own heart 💜 soft and kind in this beautiful and also brutal world 🌎! Thank you for this lovely story and beautiful piano concerto of Debussy? Love 💕 from California
I had to comment, this is exactly how I acquired my Tabby cat Morris. He just showed up one day and I didn’t want another animal, so I just ignored him and did my thing each day but he just hung around and never left. After 2 weeks, I gave in and let him in. He has been the best cat ever since. The funny thing is, he showed up exactly 1 year to the day my dog passed way. I call him my Angel cat. ❤️
After reading the comments I see that many of you get to listen to the story part. I make it through the count down and maybe the first minute of the story (or less). I always feel like I should listen to what I missed in the morning. 😊 thank you Stephen for helping me drift off to sleep so safe and sound.

I used to take our daughter to the animal rescue to play with the kittens - the staff loved volunteers that helped to socialize them, making it easier for them to get adopted. Anyway, he was allergic to lots of things which led him to taking allergy shots for about 3 years. And, he was cured of the cat allergy! He never became a cat lover - and he limits me to 2 cats at a time, LoL - but, we always have one that simply adores him. It’s so funny.
My boyfriend (& future husband) said he, and his his whole family were terribly allergic to animals. Well, I told him that I would never live without my cats. Guess what? His allegeries magically disappeared.

I was a carer for my late Mum for 8 and a half years. One time in May, my Mum was really poorly, and taken to hospital. It was warm days, during that time l had the windows open. One day a thin, stray black and white cat jumped into my living room. She became my Coco. A beautiful cat, who people say was an angel that looked after me, when l was at my saddest. She went back to heaven in August. I miss her every day. 💔
