I remember a time when I faced a problem that seemed impossible to solve, just like the complex challenges in this video. It reminded me of a moment in my life when I was working on a personal project that everyone around me thought was too ambitious. I spent countless sleepless nights, hitting dead ends and feeling like I’d never find the solution. But there was something about pushing through, staying persistent even when it felt like there was no progress, that eventually led me to a breakthrough. I think we all have those moments-when the struggle is real, and it feels like the world is against us, but in the end, the reward is worth every obstacle. Has anyone else had an experience where perseverance paid off in the most unexpected way? I'd love to hear your stories!

I love this poem read by Thorin in Chapter 1… Chip the glasses and crack the plates! Blunt the knives and bend the forks! That's what Bilbo Baggins hates- Smash the bottles and burn the corks! Cut the cloth and tread on the fat! Pour the milk on the pantry floor! Leave the bones on the bedroom mat! Splash the wine on every door!
@@JoyfulSteps8386 this is most definitely a shared universal experience. As an old bluesman said "I've been down so long, down don't bother me". We just keep pushing through the adversity.
Thank you for listening and for your encouraging words 🙏
Thank you! I was sick and struggling to fall asleep and this knocked me out in a second! I don’t think I even got to the place with Gandalf 😂

Haha well thank you so much and welcome to the channel!
Chapter 2 and onward will be happening. I have 4 books I'm reading through chapter by chapter. Each Friday in a month is a new chapter from each of the 4 books.
1. Howl's moving Castle
2. Pale Blue Dot
3. The Hobbit (formerly the Silmarillion)
4. Contact
So 3rd week in May expect chapter 2 to be uploaded. In the meantime there's plenty of other Tolkien content to sate your thirst. Hope you stick around! Thank you for listening 🙏

I read The Hobbit and I 😢didnt " Connect" ( as I had become an addict to LOTR) . Till today : your reading has been the tale I always wished to listen when child ( many... Years ago) .I am from Spain , I ❤ English and today also "learnt". In this days with LOTR back ( I dislike. The PJ fims, and "The Things of the Power", etc) yours IS the only Proff. Tolkien I have liked very much. This Gandalf voice❤ and The Dwarfs accent. 🎬 Yours should tell the other tales . 🙏🏼
well thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. Ironically I derived the voices of Gandalf and the dwarves from the actors in the Peter Jackson films.

@@johnssleepstories I realized as Ian McKellen voice is 🌟 but is " how to say " the rythm, the silences, Bilbo ( as he was a great actor ) is to childish. Anyway I was listening to another 😀

I love this poem read by Thorin in Chapter 1…
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates-
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Cut the cloth and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you’ve finished if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! carefully with the plates!

@@susanmercurio1060 you've come to the right place! We've got Silmarillion, the hobbit (in progress) and even a Christmas book by Tolkien up on the channel. Welcome!
I've read Tolkien's books many times. It's interesting that he describes Hobbits as having wooly feet but not disproportionately large. The movies could have saved a bit on props had they read the books. An illustrator started the huge Hobbit feet thing years ago.
@@markfomenko8873 haha indeed. But I imagine those thick leathery soles Tolkien described must add to the mass of the feet somehow
